i'd probably lean towards the agreements that bernie signs with the countries at the time. the old crack pot signed the korean contract before the singapore one if i remember correctly, and of course the china one was earlier than both of them. japan has been around for years of course.
This right here makes no sense at all. FYI.

australia's contract is coming up for renewal. the night race/tv times thing is a newer concept, and he probably cannot get them to change as yet... malaysia re-signed up 2yrs ago... in line with changes to the times.
Yes Australia has been very vocal about maybe cutting the contract, then they changed their mind.
It has nothing to do with day or night racing. It has to do with the economy in that area.

Ok so Malaysia will run in the night now then? Seeing as the sun went down after this long race.

bernie is making more money from moving F1 races around. he gets a slice when a new contract is made, then makes a piece from the new track that must be made. he is taking them out of europe because other parts of the world will spend $billions to get F1, whereas europe will not.

the sooner he dies, the better

What a silly comment!
You do realise the only reason F1 is where it is today is down to Bernie?

Okay. here are my views.

Good job to the Podium guys. Especially Perez, as much as we love having him in Ferrari lets just not blitz that possibility just yet until the endings of the European races.

For those saying this was a team order between Sauber and Ferrari...wow your are wrong is a lot of aspects. Team Orders are legal WITHIN a team. This was in between teams and clearly beyond ilegal. Perez was pushing for first and Sauber didnt mind if they did, it was after that risky wide turn of his that said "okay mate, listen your fast and great but we dont want to ruin our race by having a DNF or losing major points, just keep your cool stick with him and if he makes a mistake anywhere we'll take it"

At no point was there ever a order from both teams at all, even if it means one of them sells their engine to that team.
If people say that then i can also assume and say RB walked up to Renault and said "we will stop buying ur engines if u dont hold up alonso, even if that means black flagging Petrov" 2010 or "okay Jaime and Buemi let Vettel through but slow down Lewis" Spain 2011, see those assumptions are consipracy things are just retarded as much as the Sauber Ferrari talk of the week here.

Anyways, good job Sergio 2nd place is better than a DNF or else.

Lol Vettel..again your team is in desperation after not having your diffuser being blown...i wont place much blame on you but please dont think ur Senna, just blame Newey for being so narrow minded thinking that any gas blowing into brake inlets will get you any downforce...he needs to just redesgin a new car.

Again Alonso, you shut your critics down by demonstrating you can pull a slow garbage car to the win. I say the F150 Italia is faster than this new red cow you have. Just had to make some major adjustments to it

Diego today it was proven that even Sauber is faster than Ferrari in wet, damp and almost dry conditions. I still wonder how Alonso did this. I've said it many times but no matter I don't like him, Alonso is a class and if somebody can give him something like RB7 he's able to win 20 races in a row. Today I was watching his lap times - 15 consecutive laps within 0.1 seconds, what a robot!

The reason Hamilton is happier is because he is the real leader for the Championship.

Alonso leads it but let´s be real, he´s not in contention at the moment. This was a one off thing.
He has Button, Vettel, Webber behind him so he has done best out of these two races despite not winning a single race yet.

Also, great drive by Senna to score more points in one race than Williams did last year, as well as a career best, and keeping up with Raikkonen. I still think Maldonado is better than Senna but Senna proved he's no slouch.

There will always be team order conspiracies. If I was in Sauber's position, I would tell Perez to be careful and maybe hold his position. He was in a career best position and the best for his team. And while he was faster than Alonso, catching is one thing, passing is another. I would have said the same thing to Vettel in Japan last year so he could win the WDC.

I can't wait to see more driving like this from Perez this season!

I don't like all current times as well.
Australia was just BAD.
For those races in the east I prefer to watch the GP just after coming home from going out. So at 4 or 5 am is fine.
7 or 8 am is NOT fine..

However I don't think the 10am for Malaysia is that bad..

To everyone talking about Asian grand prix times, am I the only one who wouldn't mind all of the races in that hemisphere being night races?

Really, I messed around with my sleep schedule to watch this race and night races just look cool.

Maybe it's just me since I'm American and a lot of race times are inconvenient. But I night time race in Europe would be perfect prime time television here in the Americas! DO IT. Make it Monaco.

About the conspiracy... I didn't think anything of it until i heard that Perez is basically a Ferrari driver... The message did come couple of laps before his mistake, not after like someone said but it could be that telemetry was showing the front was beginning to wear out. It's just funny coincidence that deep Ferrari connection and knowing that Ferrari needed this win sooo badly, so bacly in fact that i bet they'd be willing to pay for it... He was a full secxond faster, tey could've possibly phrased the message a bit differently, like " don't take any risks passing him" would've been so much better than the one we use to hear in the no-team-orders era. If it was a team order, i hope to see Perez in a F13 then. Tha really was a superb drive and got the attention of everyone. Showed what a real talent he is, i didn't know it until now.

Many of these drivers that were rubbish last year are suddenly lightning fast.. That's only a good thing.
