Dont be too surprised Georgios, Williams have a pretty good car this year.
I was doing that to draw some attention to the guy as a lot of people have said he lacks the talent and the skills to be in F1.

But.... I am SO happy that Williams have made a car that seems to be stronger and can challenge the mid-field a bit more then last year. (all that theory will be put to the test tomorrow :p ) :)

Do you think the Mercs have a chance for a first win? For me Red Bull are not as powerful as they were last two years and the Ferraris are totally out the race in the beginning. I really hope for a McLaren domination but Schumi and Rosberg showed some really good signs of speed today.

i assume the Merc wil be much faster in Malasya..Melbourne is a weird track,so not 2 surprised to see Renault in the mix,but deffinetely expecting the gap to close to McL in Kuala Lumpur

Yeah their car was really fast on the straights. I think Schumacher has a hope for a podium if he can stick with the cars ahead and use the DRS. If they don't win here, I think they'll be much more competitive on the high speed circuits like Spa and Monza especially. That will depend on the other teams failing to copy their F-Duct sufficiently.

also ,cant help but wonder what is going on at Renault...im not a fan of E.Boulier ,so im beginning to speculate if Raikko will get a fare shot at the frenchman(Gro)....

Yes this i remember very clearly :) Hopefully Maldonado will demolish Senna as he did in today´s qualifying.
The guy is the real deal, to many people jump on the bandwagon when bad stuff goes wrong.
And I will also highlight the fact that Senna did an excelent job in todays qualify even if he didn't make it to Q3 because it was a VERY tight mid-field fight for Q3. ;)

Edit: Almost forgot, Hulkenberg had also a GREAT comeback qualify today. He seems to have some German blood left even after a 1 year break. :p

Well, this season has an interesting start.

Hamilton did an impressive job with that pole, really fast. And Button 2nd makes it a perfect qualifying for McLaren.
Grosjean was a very nice surprise, hopefully he can keep the good job tomorrow. A shame about Kimi, but the good news for him should be that the car is fast.
I might be slightly crazy, but I actually expected the Mercedes to be a bit closer to the pole. Still, 4th for Schumacher and 7th for Rosberg is sweet.
Webber ahead of Vettel, well, that's a change from last season. Maybe they made a mistake and gave Mark the good car?

Also, very nice job from Hulkenberg qualifying ahead of di Resta, and Williams has improved a lot. The whole midfield looks very tight, which hopefully means good racing.

As for Ferrari...I don't see Massa even completing half this season. He barely got into Q2 (if Räikkönen had found 2 tenths, Massa would have been out), and then he was 1 second slower than Alonso (and maybe even more, but we won't know). As for Fernando, well, he's trying to push more than the car will give, and that won't end well. The Ferrari is in really bad shape right now, which is a shame, but they really need to get their act together.

As for HRT...Whoah. They didn't even get the power steering working, and their hydraulic systems would probably explode if they opened the DRS. Good thing they weren't allowed to race, because it probably wouldn't be safe. I hope they get it working for Malaysia.

Overall, this really looks better than 2011. I just hope McLaren doesn't dominate.

We are obviously really really early in the season (heck race #1 has not even happened yet). But my gut tells me McLaren will dominate with Mercedes the only team who will even be remotely close, but my gut tells me it won't be close. People are allowed to cheer for anyone they want, so if McLaren does dominate, naturally the McLaren fans can be happy. But I wonder if the same people who claimed 2011 was a boring season will claim 2012 is a great season if/when one teams dominates. Time will tell.

Wow - what's happened to our usually boring qualifying! No Vettel on pole - no Vettel even in the top three! Great stuff - McLaren locking up the front row and it's so good to see the Lotus name back up there. Tomorrow should be fun. :)

Interesting read - Karthikeyan expresses his thoughts (also pointing the finger at the team) about not being allowed to race:
(Quotes from this article http://en.espnf1.com/hrtf1/motorsport/story/73309.html)

"I didn't have the DRS working and had issues with the power steering, so we could have easily been in. The DRS alone is worth about nine tenths, and the power steering is virtually non-existent, it's almost impossible to drive. I think the problem is that the hydraulics are getting so hot, the viscosity of the fluid is thinner."

"It's going to be damn hard in Malaysia. It's going to be a lot hotter and we have cooling problems already, so it's going to be very hard. We don't want to bullshit ourselves; it's going to be very difficult.

"With HRT I was under a false impression with the new car. I obviously knew there would be problems but I thought we could get in, and I am very wrong. I don't see it as a long-term problem but I won't be surprised if Malaysia is the same situation. Back to backs in a situation like this is almost impossible; we have a few small remedies but to work on the hydraulics is a humungous job. It won't happen overnight. By China we should be okay, relatively speaking."

It's a good thing that he speaks in this manner towards the team instead of the usual ''We have some minor problems but we'll see how it goes from here and the guys are working very hard''.

Nah we will, best Qualifying in 2 years ever,..
Come on fellas Kimi was drinkin by the time he went to Q1

Mclaren showed their pace, RB is cryin out of desleration to the FIAI
Maybe is just a personal brawl between Brawn and Newey
But w.e , i dont root for the team, but for the driver, since i like them both then
I mire as well go and say "go Mclaren, lap the red cows! I mean bulls, baby bulls" :p
