Race Report

Qualify: Good quallify for me and a good 3 place final for the start of the race.

Race: Start in 3 place i was bumped by Dan in arace of 60m, and i lose 3 places...not a good start...

I recover to P3 and i follow the pace of Jesper and Dan...With the mistakes of the two guys in front of me i reach P1 until the midle of the race...
When i decided to pit i whent of the track to the pits in a rithm of racing and i was surprise by the low speed of Bruno in the entry of the pits...The entry of the pits its too smale for two cars and the tooch was inevetable...Jesper was behind me and was surprised too, and bumped me too...

So bad luck for me because my car was destroyed....Suspencion problem, aero front and rear problems...Very difficult second half of race but in the end a good P2...

Congratulations all and see you in laguna

Qualy: A very good lap gave me a 2nd place. I was very happy with that, because I had a good race pace, and I tought just keep out of trouble and you might finish top 3/5.

Race: A nice clean start, I was folowing Jesper through the first corners and watching some bumps in the mirrors that gave me a little space.
But then something quite amazing happens. As we are going up for T7 an info square appears in my monitor saying it will turn off in 60 secs. This square occupies about 60% of the monitor, and I'm in trouble! I look for the Tv remote control with one hand on the wheel, because I know I have to press a button so that the square disspapears, but while I do that I miss the braking point and I,m off to the tyre barrier, with damage to my car and loss of 25 positions...My first reaction was to quit, but I remembered it was a 60m race, so what the hell maybe I can still recover a little.
I survived until pitting, wich I had to do earlier than expected, because the car was hard to drive, but I had a moderate pace.
Because my presets had full repair of the car, and because I had very little room between pit entry and my spot, I couldn't deactivate it, so I was forever in pits to change tyres, refuel, and repair the damage.
When I got out I was quite fast and madea lot of laps on 12.XXX, making my best race lap by that time (12.2).
I recovered some places to 14th, I was folowing Andreas (you were drifting with those tyres :) ) but I didnt't risk overtaking, because my tyres had worn out and I was having trouble to brake very late.
I got out of track a bit behind Andreas and james Felows caught up with us. He made a tremendous move (I wasn't expecting that) on last lap and I finished 15th.
Considering the first lap I was happy I didn't press the escape button, but very disapointed with my bad luck.

Nice race and very nice pack of 30 drivers. Congratulations to the podium and the RD staff.

See you in Laguna!

Really enjoyed my first league race and its was great to see all the different skins made. Liked the rolling start idea as it gave the chance to admire the tracks scenery and to run through those apex's at a slower speed. From running here before with Reggie Blain in the past I knew it was going to be very difficult to pass and with times so close was only going make for a more challenging race.

After watching the replay the contact just after the start with Miguel looked more like the line being closed off I did have the inside and made no sudden moves to the outside. Never mind though I threw 2nd away later on going down Craner Curves by dipping the rear left onto the grass. As I exited the final part at the bottom of the hill backwards I new the car had a date with the barrier.

An early pitstop on lap 16 to fix the ORR Monster Energy Pug up cost me with the tyres in the closing laps of the race. Great racing otherwise and looking forward to Laguna.

because u didnt move from ideal line so i was behind and wait after corner..u brake hard and very early in my view and i didnt have time to react..shame i destroy my car and lost 3-4 places

sorry for that, I probably braked a little too hard because that third warning came so much sooner than I thought and you get a stopngo for not respecting it at once. I had earlier planned on staying right after the next righthander, good place to let sb. pass.
after the crash just go back to race and don't wait for me tio recover, if I am not mistaken waiting for the other guy to recover is club rules, speeding on and waiting if the other guy files an incident report is tournament rules.

sorry again, hope no hard feelings.

Dan Allinson, you are lagggiinng too much

Sorry Hugo I didn't know. It must have been a connection problem to the game as I don't normaly have this problem. Wierd as well that we went through Practice, Qualify, Warmup and no-one mentioned it. I know its not my internet as I have a massive connection of around 50mb.

Anyone else want to pick on me for any other issues lol :)

Hmmm, not my best race i think... Started on P16 (or something). the first turns were very rough but after that it was all about settling down for a long race. As mentioned above the BMW isn't the fastest car and definitely not the best tire saver... I had to go in for an early pit, but that went wrong. I only changed my front wheels :( so i had to go for another pit. After that i was far behind. But then, crossing the start finish line, there as a car coming out of the pits and i couldn't avoid him (haven't seen the replay yet). My car was missing a wheel after that. I managed to pit for the third time to fix the car but i was so far behind that racing wasn't fun anymore.

I quited the race for the first time in my racing career :(

I knew before i started this league that my car choice wasn't the best one. But the thing for me is, i only take cars that i really like. Unfortunately those cars are not always the fastest cars.. I knew that there isn't a podium spot for me so i was prepared for that to...

But still, it hurts...

Thanks Ivo for setting this up

see ya next time, if my wheel doesn't burn away..

You're too fast...take care of that

Quali: It was very close with only about 0.4 sec between 5th and 18th iirc, P7 for me
Race: I didn't get into a good rhythm right from the start and immediately lost some ground to the guys in front and the pressure from behind began. The best part of the race followed after a few laps when a train of Ivo, Ryan,Reggie,Andreas and me had some very nice battles in my opinion. Ivo was the first one to open up a gap and drove away a few secs. Then I was lucky to get some space between me and the other members of the train. Pitted in lap 24 I think, somehow miscalculated the fuel needed and had about 12l too much with me in the end. Came out of the pits behind Dan in P7 iirc and wasn't able to get closer. As the tyres wore out, I pretty much changed into driving in safety mode and ended up where I started in P7. Fun race with some great clean battles. :)
Grats to Jesper for the great win and to Miguel and Ivo completing the podium.
Cheers

I haven't watched the replay yet but there was a point where early in the race where I passed James Fellows coming onto the back straight and he went wide I wasn't sure if it was from contact or just he ran wide on the marbles, anyway Oscar and Jay (I think) both passed him too then I accidently hit my ignition button on the straight and it took a couple of seconds to register what I'd done so sorry for any confusion that caused.
Great battle at the end with Ryan
Edit: Watched the replay now it wasn't contact.

Great event with some awsome battles goin on really enjoyed the race

Quali P14 with a very close grid

Race After the rolling start i just stay behing yuri for the first few laps and could see the train of cars in front, Simon Gardener is behind me and i no he is very strong at this track so i start tryin to put some presure on Yuri. Lap 5 Yuri spins the BMW in the final turn and i gain another position. P11 on lap6 and i could see a train of 4 cars in front of me about 2 secs up the road so i get the head down to catch the pack. Lap 9 i am with the train of cars and put a pass on Andreas as he runs wide on 1 of the turns so P10 with Matthias and Ryan in my sights. The next 10 laps were some of the best battles i have had, Ryan and i swopped some paint but all clean and fair and really enjoyable. I pitted lap 22 and was hoping 2 jump Ryan in the pits, as i come outa the pit lane he flys into turn 1 and runs a wee bit deep and i manage to slip up the inside but he quickly made a move on me and i had Anderas all over me. Lap 32 i run a bit deep into the corner and have 2 let the power of and got hit a tap what puts me in a spin. Lost a few positions but managed to battle my way to 9th with some car damage. Loved the 60 minute format and enjoyed all the battles i had with use guys. Grats to the podium finishers

Thanks for a great race and thanks to the guys what made this happen. See use all at Laguna
