Well that was very disappointing  Decent qualifying with a 1:09.4 just behind Michael and ahead of Eric but with Nic the lone flyer on a 1:08 :alien:... the AI followed in our wake so signs were good that we would get away clean without interference from the AI at the start. Eric got away just ahead of me but all four of us had clean starts and we kept ahead of the AI through the first few laps and I settled down following Eric with Michael and Nic just ahead. Looking at the long haul I wasn't taking any chances and just set about getting a decent rhythm but noticed Eric's car starting to act erratically just ahead. Lap 5 started and his car was jumping left and right in sector 1 so I kept a distance and then on my way down the Hangar Straight with his car about 10 car lengths ahead he suddenly disappeared and then there he was right in my left side, sending me into a spin and ripping off my left rear... with no way to get back to the pits it was race over. Gutted :(. Looked forward to this one so very disappointed to have it end so quickly and in such a way.

Sorry I missed this guys, and sorry I was not there. Ended up in Norfolk with family issues akin to what Railer is experiencing. No good way to predict when something will take me away, and no cell service for 90 mins. after I leave. Tried to get a message here, but to no avail. What happen to live? Plus, I was just not in the mood.

Anyway, Mom will be struggling for a while, but she has faced things like clots, back replacement, etc. Anyway, apologies. I hope this does not happen again, but I did what I had to. Sounds like you guys had a bit of lag. That sucks. It's usually not that bad. FYI - I could not get on live until after I got home, which is now. Earlier I was fine. Not sure what was going on, but I could not just wait at the time.

Peter, I assume you ran it? If so, hope everything went well, other than the lag.

Anyway, not sure why there were A.I. We are not supposed to add them for these races, but I guess you all agreed? Strange, because someone had just asked me that question. Hate it for you Peter and anyone else who got caught by lag.

I'll be around all day tomorrow. F1 can go forth if anyone still wants to.

Wasn't aware we weren't running AI here Robert, thought we were running them every race. It was me that asked abt the level we would be running them and 93% was mentioned again although i may have misinterpreted that so never really crossed my mind that we wouldn't have them in.

Anyway, done and dusted now....

Really sorry to hear about your family issues. Thoughts and wishes with you all over there.

I have been using this calculator for awhile, its good for a baseline tune, but in the end for me, I still have to adjust for feel. This is what I used to tune my LMP2 car with as that car is nothing like anything I've raced before.

Thanks Peter. and thanks for last minute hosting. I won't bother you with the sad details, but family takes priority for me. Live was down, cell service gone. Jeeze, I was in a real dead zone, but that was the last thing on my mind at the time. Dangerously low blood pressure. But they managed to get her stabilized.

Anyway, I thought the A.I. issue was cleared up with this post made just a few days ago, but I guess there is some confusion. I disfavor A.I. for all the main races, even though the field is sparse. I know you and I run with them w/o problem all the time Peter, but others don't like them, so they are not written into the rules for this series. Oh well. The important thing is you got it away. Thanks again everyone for your effort. Strong times from all it looked like. Unless there is a groundswell for re-running tomorrow, it will have to stand.

It was my fault, I hosted the room and had AI in there. I had setup the room merely for practice, and we were just awaiting for your Invite Robert. If you think we should re-run the race we can. Everybody agreed on the AI after the fact, as I did offer to make another room, but we ran the race anyway as time was passing.
Sorry to hear about your family issues, hope everyone is well and in good health soon. It wasn't much of a race as Toast, toasted us with his speedy pace.

I don't see anything in this calculator but suspension (springs, ARBs and Dampers), which is like building a car with two wheels. Yea, it's critical and vital that you have them, but you need four. lol. Unless there is a full version out there that I missed? They say that this will be fully integrated into the tuning database. It's not bad, but like you said, just a starting point, if you really know what to adjust. So many other components influence this part of the tune, that a full calculator is needed. I'm sure someone has one somewhere. Interestingly, the default tunes are not that bad on pCARS (like they put some thought into them) compared to other games.

One of the most reliable ways to go for me (in a pinch) if to find someone who actually knows how to tune, makes his tuned public, and has the same kind fo rig (very important) and driving style as I do. Not easy, by any stretch. Found a couple on Forza, but the pot was soooo much larger to pick from. Hell maybe I'll just get FM6 and get a controller. lol.

Well, thanks for that explanation Michael. And thanks for your efforts to get something up and running. I'd have loved to make it six. I hope the A.I. played nice this time.

I was primarily worried about you and Michael and Eric, but two of you seem fine with a re-run. Since Peter or I didn't host, and Railer was not there, we will either have to cancel or postpone.

I can do tomorrow anytime. Otherwise, we would have to chop off a support series race, most likely a GT4 race.

Easter U.S. - 10am, 12noon, 2pm, or 4pm. Sunday 11th. I can do any. If you want this option and can be available, please let me know.

Yea I should be available tom. Morning at 10 as well ..and can do the f1 thing ..it is at 5est correct? Sorry to hear bout ur family situation Robert .hope things get better..

Thanks Eric. Just a part of getting old I guess. If Peter is around at 3pm maybe it will work, although I'd hate to re-run if Nic can't. If us five can do it, I'm in. Or we can just award the same position points for the 1-2 that can't make it. Either way I'll check back. Thanks.

P.S. -- Yes, Eric, F1 at 4:30est unless you just want to go right to the race at 5pm. I've not turned many laps at Russia, but that game is fun anywhere.

Well, I guess no takers for 10am Mike. But thanks anyway for your effort yesterday. I'll leave it to Peter as to whether or not to count it.

On to F1 I guess. Around 5pm is perfect for me Eric, and I can go as long as you want. I probably should have some practice. It's bad enough as it is. lol. But this track isn't rocket science.

Oh, and Michael, a schedule change will likely give me some Wednesdays off for a while, so maybe I can make some of your races. God knows I'm familiar with the Ruf. lol. Maybe a sneak attack at an F1 track? lol.
