Large gains to be had for AM5 and possibly AM4 users with Win 11 24H2.
What the..?!Large gains to be had for AM5 and possibly AM4 users with Win 11 24H2.
Rather surprising to see such enormous wins. Implies that something was very wrong with the previous versions, and while that's not a big deal with Zen 5 (cos it's new) it's a pretty big deal indeed for Zen 4 - so much performance left on the table for so long?!Large gains to be had for AM5 and possibly AM4 users with Win 11 24H2.
Fun thing about this is that the performance between Win 10 and Win 11 was pretty much identical.Rather surprising to see such enormous wins. Implies that something was very wrong with the previous versions
Hmmm... In that case, I do hope that they find a way to help the Win 10 users then, because I am still planning on building an AMD rig soon and would prefer not to use Win 11...Fun thing about this is that the performance between Win 10 and Win 11 was pretty much identical.
So someone apparently found some treasure
What the..?!
I guess they'll be testing 5800X3D, 7800X3D and Intels next. Can't wait!
I'm still on a dual boot with trusty Win 10 + Win 11 22H2.
Gonna be interesting to update to 24H2!
Sadly I'm somehow stuck at 22H2 (I have the "education" version, since I got the key via the university and it's an "upgrade" compared to pro. Not for getting the big updates though...).
Yep, that's the plan. Just need to dig out one of the stored away small SSDsMate I would buy W11 Pro retail from link above
64GB -256GB SSD to run alone
When you bored use it, test, diags. 23H2/24H2 .......when you feel like it until you happy to convert, if.
Should be able to disable / enable right drives in Bios to use 3 OS.
Ouch! I thought it would just keep on updating. My daughter also got the education version while in uni, and I must now go and check if her updates also stopped happening at some point...Sadly I'm somehow stuck at 22H2 (I have the "education" version, since I got the key via the university and it's an "upgrade" compared to pro. Probably, but that video looks old enough to have been before people (with more info from AMD) worked out what was happening. Is this the same problem ?
Yeah, an extra click or 5Some things are hidden an extra click away
AMD announced a branch prediction optimization for its Ryzen processors, now available for Windows 11 version 23H2 through an optional update.
