Hello @snthennumbers . First of all, thanks for this amazing mod, it makes the game just a lot more real, no more boring 100% races, action from the first corner until the last one.

I don't really know much about moding and editing database, so this is more like a question and not a request since I don't really know if it's possible to do that. I think the pit stop times on this game are not real at all, my fastest pit stop of all time was 2.8 seconds and usually they go from 3 to 4 seconds all the time. In real life teams do 2.5 sec pit stops a lot and when its more then 3 seconds it's like a really slow pit stop and thats the normal pit stop time on this game. Is it possible to make pit stops times faster? I think it would make the game even more realistic considering that on 100% races we must 3 to 5 pit stops, and if it starts raining we can say 5 to 7 pits stops. So, is it possible to do this?

Only giving an ideia to improve your already awesome mod. Thanks bro for your work, stay nice. Cheers!

I haven't played with it at all, but I believe the settings you want are in the f1teams table in the database. "pitstop_highest/lowest_range"
Right now the lowest range is set to 0, and the highest range is set to 1.0 - 1.8 ...but you're saying the pitstops are still too long...

You can try lowering the highest_range values for all the teams and see where that gets you. I just haven't tested it so I don't know for sure if that's the setting you need or not

okay... I guess I won't change that, don't want to risk doing something wrong with my game and I have no experience at all haha. But thanks for helping, I'll just stick with the stock pit stops

snthennumbers updated True to Life AI with a new update entry:

Tyres, Tyres, Tyres! 50% & 100% Distance Scaled Wear

Version 2.6 release notes:

Database:
Adjusted Tyre longevity for all compounds - some 100% races locked you in to using the soft compound only once, which I found unrealistic and a bit unfun. This then lead to the 50% races getting pretty boring with the majority of them being scheduled as 1 stop races. So I gave in and made databases for 100% and 50% races. I'm not doing 25%, don't ask. Unfortunately, simply cutting the 100% tyre longevity in half gave me the...

Hi Snthenumber, Whit your mod I have the lotus all black,I did follow your suggest for it, what Can I wrong? Ty sir and thanks for great job!

It's all included in the install instructions...make sure you're installing the raceload.jpk file, and make sure if you've copied my cars folder that you go to F1 2012\cars\lr2 and delete the "livery_main" folder. That's all there is to it, and you're the only person with a problem so far...so idk what else to tell you lol, there's only 1 way to do it.

Fresh game installation. Completed the young driver tests. Then installed this mod afterwards. Quit the game for a couple of hours. Returned to start my career and got the usual corrupted save message. Damn it, I'm Getting tired of this game ruined by that.

Proper installation method:
1. Fresh, default F1 2012 installation
2. Install v1tek's 2013 mod
3. Install "True to Life AI" except the "cars" folder
4. Start game, create profile, complete YDT
5. Save and exit game
6. Install "cars" folder, following instructions for Lotus livery fix
7. Resume Career

Just remember to have your preferred database installed before starting a profile and the YDT. Otherwise if you make a profile, complete the YDT, and then change database, you'll create ID mismatches between the database and your profile, and will corrupt your profile.

Also remember that if you have v2.0 or higher of True to Life AI installed, you can use the databases from v2.1 and higher without corrupting your profile (since the IDs in the database haven't been changed ).
Changing from v1.9 (or lower) to v2.0 (or higher) will cause corrupt profiles since True to Life AI changed and became based on v1tek's 2013 mod rather than Mr. Pibb's 2013 mod.

Cheers

Great mod, been using it and love it! Quick question: I'm testing setups and my times don't match the times other people post (they aren't using any realism mod). I couldn't find any explanation in the overview about this, but could you tell me if it's true that lap times are in fact slower with this mod? Because if not, it's because I did something wrong in the installation.(I'm using v1tek's season 2013 mod, only two mds I installed)

I restarted with another save game and I couldn't reach 297 kph in Young Drivers Test either. Just so I know, if lap times are indeed slower, did you change the default lap times the AI does? Because the player would be in a HUGE disadvantage if not :D

Anyway, thanks for the MOD and keep up the good work!

Snthennumbers is this mod still good without v1tek's 2013 mod? Reading the discussion on his last page between you and him, it sounds like he has just abandoned this mod still with bugs.

Yes it's still designed to work with v1tek's 2013 mod. Depending on if he does abandon it, that may change...we'll see. The bugs in his mod are pretty minor - career helmets for the player don't match up (no idea why), van der garde's picture is missing in the driver selection menu...minor things like that. but all teams, garages, suits, and helmets are correct. some news clippings don't show the right team...it's just small silly things like that, which don't effect gameplay at all.
So overall for graphics, I think it's the best collection of graphic updates available on RD. Skunk's 2013 mod may be better, I haven't tried his. Mr. Pibb's was simple, and it worked well because it was stable, but better, or should I say more complete, 2013 mods have come along which I prefer to work with.
