The "What Are You Working On?" Thread

Vinyl came out greener than I intended, not sure if it's a dds thing or just gimp cause I definitely set it to 0 saturation.
Yeah the alternating green/magenta or general green tint is a DDS thing. Or even a graphics engine thing as a whole. I saw an explanation about why that happens a while ago but cannot remember

The PC one still has the ocean on the right by default, so it's south as well, but it's partially fictional. There's sections of it that you can more or less match up to some sections of PCH, but nothing it spot on. It's all intentional. :)
You've come quite a ways from zero to where you're at! Gives me some hope once 'real life' has calmed down a bit. I've got too many ideas and not enough time...
I think that shows how much I played PC compared to Assetto...
could have swore it was going North ... Can't think why they intentionally made it inaccurate.. especially when there are pretty detailed free USGS GeoTiff satellite data out there.
Thanks mate, taking on something like a track or some other mod can be a nice distraction from 'real life'
But I know what you mean about too many ideas not enough time... While looking from space I've spotted a large number of awesome roads that NEED to be in Assetto... Most of them are 20km+ I now know how much work that is!
I'd say go for it mate... You don't know until you try... :)

I made an executive decision that even though the TV truck has the 78-79 front (square headlights) I like the 76-77 version better. And since it's my mod I can do whatever I want. (such as park in front of a tow truck so it looks like it has a crane)

Does anyone know how AC sets the zoom limits on F5 and the showroom? I think I'll need to extend those... F5 goes inside the front bodywork and the showroom can't show the whole length of the vehicle.

Oh Mr.Stereo what happened to your lovely Rx-7 Turbo II model ?

Ah ok. Saved it uncompressed and it seems ok now.

Not top priority right now is all. I'm trying to get the FF finished. (or, this week, doing an F350 from scratch for some reason)

It's kinda hard to see the speedometer in AC cause it's so far down the dash, unless you ride really low. I'm feeling a little behind schedule at this point so everything else gets to just be blanks. (should be switches, fuel + idiot lights, speed, water temp, and AC+radio from left to right) Gotta finish the bigger things (inside of door, steering wheel, seat) before I bother.

You doing full gauges or idiot lights? Not that Ford gauges are much use as they just have say a C and an H for temp. Later they put the word NORMAL in the middle. You know you are talking to a ford guy when they say "yeah the oil pressure runs around the M and temp will run up around the A and then drop back around the R." My 78 has full gauges and the 74 is idiot lights.

Cheap version of the dash with an oil light and alternator light probably, I have pictures of it that way.

Kinda tempting to put the seatbelt light on and not bother modeling those too...

Last chance to do powerslides cause adding a couple tons to the bed is gonna really reduce traction loss (maybe I'll just add cab&frame as a step1). Finished the inside of the doors (not shown, but you can see the front axles whuch I don't think have been in screenshots before), door glass, started the steering wheel.
Should be big enough to fit a 595 SS on there :D Great work!

@mclarenf1papa wow, I feel like a bit of an idiot now, I never actually noticed there were two different upper wing configs ...the louvres over the front wheels seem to be much steeper on the high-downforce config aswell, that could be switched the same way right?

Feels like I run into this problem in every car I make... the driver's an enormous person and doesn't fit in vehicles meant for normal humans.

This is after making him 10cm shorter and really sinking into the seat, he's still touching the headliner.
