I have this same exact problem. I love this tool cant wait to get it working with ASM 2 it worked great with Assetto Corsa, I havent tried it with ACC, yet I will try that to night. I, too, am interested in looking at some of these time trial ghost, I'm really interested in some of these world record runs as to how these people are so fast.
Yeah, wait a bit to get the new version, which will be out in a minute. There are many goodies for AMS2 + ACC.

Cheers.

I just noticed, there is a bug, which might prevent the 13.3 version of the Tool to run in AMS2 mode. I expect to post a new version soon, hopefully tomorrow.

Cheers.

Great Tool. Thank you! Does AMS2 offer opponent telemetry data? Ive selected the option in the tool to save this data but nothing is being saved. Is this a limit of AMS2 or am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

It should work. The files are in the 'data dir'\opponent_laps\ams2

To help my testing, which Tool version are you using, on which event is this happening (P/Q/R) and what cars were in the session or does this happen with all cars.

Cheers.

Its 13.4a Rev 3161
AMS2 Race, Practice and Qual. None are saving opponent data.

Hey dude, great tool, I am Driving a F1 car at the moment, interested to know what you mean in "hints" by Low camber, High pressures etc.. in context. Do you mean the camber is currently too low? or to lower it? as a tip? , and with lower, I assume a more negative value would be me lowering it more.. also same with tyre pressures , the pressures here are too high potentially?

I read somewhere that IF M > I + O / 2 then we would have potentially less of a contact patch as the I & O of tyre do not contact the road surface as often as they should due to over inflation. This makes sense that it should be a linear relationship to temp, I understand the theory, just wanted to know how you are calculating these "hints" in the tool

Hola amigo, gran herramienta.

So they key idea here is "borrowed" from this great article:
It is still bit experimental as I wasn't sure people would use it. I could add there more tresholds, e.g. 'MIN Front IMO Spread' and 'MAX Front IMO Spread', but now there is just one value with +-3 being treshold. (IMO = Inside/Middle/Out as compared to Left/Center/Right temperatures, i.e. same thing, different name'.

There are few components:
1) OMI profile (the line on top of each tyre). You can enable it in the sidebar checkbox. This shows the OMI temperatures (left-center-right), where higher value mean higher temperature. The line is made so, that the lowest point is always the lowest value. ==> So with 68, 66, 65 values, the lowest point is 65. The visual profile gives you and idea, what is the temperature different between the sides and how the center is doing. If there is a 'dip' then the pressures are too low, if it looks like hill then the pressures are too high. [//NOTE: EDIT HERE, had written temps when it should have been pressures, sorry]

2) OMI AVG
This is the average value of the OMI temps, you can choose 'Stint' so between two pitstops, or this lap for the calculations and to see the values below the tyres. I typically use 'this lap', but sometimes also the 'Stint'. This selection then affects, which value (stint or this lap) is used for the setup hints.

3) Setup hints
Here you see many different sliders to set your 'preferred' values.
As the tyre temperature/setup things are always personal preference and car/tyre/track/weather dependant, there is no single right answer. As you can read from the above article, there are few 'diffs' to look out. One is the diff between left and right of the tyre. One might want to allow front tyres' IMO diff bigger than rear. That is the first two settings 'front IMO Spread' and 'Rear IMO Spread'. So if you IMO spread is too high, you might want to change the camber to make it smaller. This is always car settings dependent.
Then there is the 'front-rear' diff. Some people might want to keep fronts bit hotter, but again this is personal preference and with this setting the Tool will notify, if the diff is too high. Same applies to the 'Left-Right' value, as typically one might want to keep the e.g. temperatures for front left and front right close.

I could add here also the tyre temp min/max target, now there is just one value 'Tyre Temp target' and there is +-10 degree range, but this value is mostly used for tyre temp coloring now. I could add it to the setup hints, the the temps are too low compared to the target.

So the stuff here will allow you to setup personalized 'checks' for the OMI and general Tyre temperature values.

Cheers.

Telemetry Tool for AMS2

Version 14.1 is here.

This is a "combined 14.0 and 14.1" update.

Notable changes:
  • F1 24 + older F1 games ERS/MGU related additions
  • Many little F1 24 related tweaks
  • Different coloring options added to RaceInfo
  • Improvements to Session data
  • Fixes/additions to most supported game's modes
  • Made the tool less aggressive on resets. Now you should be able to see the data in the tool until you start new session or close the Tool.
  • Added RaceStart data support to those...

Sorry if this has been answered. But I am really struggling here to guess what is meant by most of the displayed options, checkboxes and values in this tool. I want to simply use the tool offline, not live, just want to record the data of tyre temps and the IMO of each tyre etc. In the driving pane (I think it is, it looks like it displays this, with the slant line you described, however it doesn't save this info anywhere? I load into other tracks and cars and cannot ever again find the last IMO temps on that particular session?
Any chance of a manual or someone helping me do this with this tool?
Just looking for IMO temps, that were averaged across the race or session. Currently I have a macro setup to take a screenshot of my HUD when I am on a straight to get a pic of the game's representation of tyre temps, I look at these later to adjust my setups, but these are instantaneous, the tyre pressures IMO are affected by the last corner I passed etc.

For AMS2 (and AC/PC2/RF2/R3E) the LapData files have the IMO Temps for whole lap. The files are automatically created on per game basis.

The OMI fileds are named in the Lapdata's .csv files e.g. as RearLeftInside, RearLeftMiddle, RearLeftOutside. So if you want to do more detailed analysis, you can do that.

In the Workspace you can also view these from saved laps and from live laps. Please note that Lapdata files created with versions older then 13.1 don't have the OMI temps saved in the file.

Cheers.
