Misc Telemetry Tool for ACC 14.2

Login or Register an account to download this content
Hello,

I have been able to get the tool working both locally and from another PC at a different location used by a friend and able to get the data from their car. However, I am not able to see any of the other cars (in single player or on multiplayer server) data such as on the map dont see them or their lap times, etc. Is there something I am missing?

Note this is for running ACC.

For ACC, there are two ways to get the data to your friend. A bit more cumbersome and one which requires extra tool.

First your fried must have a working Telemetry Tool installation, I.e. he gets all the data, like driver names in the map.

1) The cumbersome.
- Find out your public IP address and send it to your friend
- Your friend set the relay to send the data to your IP address
- Your friend also sets the ACC broadcast system and opens up firewall access for the ACC broadcast port (Default is 9000)
- Now you open in your firewall the relay's UDP port. (Default is 9996). You might also want to open the Broadcast port too (Defualt is the 9000 mentioned above.
- Now in your 'ACC Settings' you put to the remote IP to your friends IP.
If all is done properly and ports are open, this system will enable your friend to send the relay data to your system and your Telemetry Tool to connect to your friend's ACC's broadcasting system to get the data

2) Using redirect.
With this your friend setup the UDP redirect (Settings --> Network Settings) and sets the IP to be your public IP and port you want, but you can also use the default 9996.
Now you setup the Telemetry Tool in ACC mode to use that same port.
The you open in the firewall the UDP port used for redirect.
You could also use Hamachi or other VPN tunneling tool to avoid the need to open up ports in the firewall. Many of my users are using Hamachi to create the tunnel to make the connectivity easier to maintain, especially if you don't have static IP.

Cheers.

Those with access to beta, there is new beta in the beta downloads.

This has the Nords trackmap for ACC and many other little fixes. I wanted to get this out for the weekend, but I am travelling and cannot do sufficient testing to allow me to make new release. I expect to make the next release around mid April.

If you don't know how to access the beta, send me a PM and I will send you the link.

Cheers.

Hello,
Do you plan to make a new version following the release of the Nordschleife ? :p

PS : sorry, i didn't read the message just before :speechless: ...

I wanted to do a release quickly, but I was traveling and then I found some small issues, which I need to still do more testing to see, if they are fixed. Aim is Fri/Sat this week to get it out.
Cheers.

Small update 13.4 is here.

Main fix
  • AMS2: Fixed issue, where in some cases the Tool would not start in AMS2 mode.
For list of the changes, check the ReadMe.txt.

If you don't play AMS2, you don't have to update.

Just updated from 13.2 to 13.4 and ran into a issue on both version. In telemetry view I can get live telemetry data and loaded lap to work but previous lap doesn't work. And nothing in blue line seem to work except for reference lap. I only play career and practice so it the only two modes i've tested.
Feels like I'm missing some instruction to get this to work. Or maybe it's a bug?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I tested this and it seems to be working correctly. Just a note, In ACC, in P&Q the first lap gets tagged as "out lap", so only the second lap starts counting for fastest lap etc.

I will fix that for the next version.

Cheers.

Hi, I'm having a issue with this app. i updated and since then no matter what version i am on, the CPU usage is super high, memory use at 8gb, and power use is high.
I have gone into the seeting and tried checking unchecking memory saver but no change. Also tried reducing cpu usage to minimum and auto tune check box with no change. i have also changed setting to not save opponent laps as well.
This is currently making the game also lag and then crash. Computer specs - 32gb ram, I9-9900k (if that helps)

On which game mode? ACC? Does this happen when you start the Tool or when you start driving? Does it happen on all cars/tracks or only on certain car and track combo?

Cheers

Good Evening,

My Engineer and I have just updated to the latest Version but now neither of us can see any opponent data. It is like im in a race session on my own and not with 30 others. Our settings are exactly the same as before, which leads me to believe thaqt we need to change something for it to work. Does anyone know what could cause this issue?

This has been the telemtry tool we have used for ACC for nearly 300hours so its strange that after the recent update it now doesnt work.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

This issue has now been resolved.

I am on Linux, and for some reason the app can not detect the ACC, and it says "ACC OFF! Relay Started? Running game?". And yes, relay is started, and game is running.
Thank you in advance.

The tool is not receiving data from the game (i.e. from Relay).

What is your configuration? ACC + Telemetry Tool running on Linux (using something like WINE - or - ACC on Windows and the Telemetry Tool on Linux?

Cheers

Hello, thank you for your response.
ACC is well running on Linux (Steam Proton GE)
Telemetry Tools (runLinux.sh) is running, though i had to modify it, to make it work (modified version in the attachment, it is called `runLinux.sh` , though i had to modify the name, because .sh is not allowed to add as an attachment here).
And relay is running using wine, cause it is .bat.
So i am not sure on what part the issue is.

Thank you.
Luking.

Ok. Thank you for the description of the system.

The issue here is that the relay connects to the SharedMemory of the ACC executable. If you run it like you do now, the relay cannot get data from ACC, as I think Wine and the Steam Proton GE do not share memory.

What you need to do, is to run the relay in the same instance, as ACC in Steam Proton GE. I really don't know, how to do that. Might be that they both run in Wine or something, but I have no experience on that.

You could try something with the relay however.
1) Run the Telemetry Tool on PC in ACC mode. Edit the ACC Settings and press save.
2) In the Install directory, copy the acc_relay to e.g. acc_relay_test
3) Copy %appdata%\ACC_SharedMemory_relay\relay_settings.ini to the new acc_relay_test directory
4) Edit (e.g with Notepad++= the relay_settings.ini and set the 'verbose' to 1
5) Run the relay from the new acc_relay_test directory and then start ACC in Proton. If the tool prints more than two rows sent, then the relay is receiving data from the game. If only two packets are sent, then it is not receiving data.

Cheers.
