What started out as a living room simrig for Gran Turismo 3 on PS3 now transformed into a slightly modified wheel stand for R3E and ACC on PC.

I got some ideas for the modifications from seeing other rigs on RaceDepartment, hence I thought of sharing my take on the subject, Maybe this gives others ideas to build their Simrig.

Since we do not have space for a full simrig I designed the wheel stand to be hooked to our living room sofa to recreate a simrig feeling. Thanks to the bracing the wheel stand is rock solid now with no flex (THX @johndough247 for the pointers!)

I recently got rid of the TH8A shifter and sadly cannot use my EDTracker wireless for ACC at the moment.

My setup:
- GT Omega wheel stand (+PTFE threaded gliders)
- Mild steel DIY bracing and aluminium "Sofa hook"
- Thrustmaster TM500 (- shifters)
- Thrustmaster Sparco 383mod wheel
- Mardo Media sping set for T3PA Pro pedals
- AMStudio Nextion 4.3" Dash
- Homecinema / Simracing PC

If you have questions feel free to contact me via PM!
Cheers, Rob

I'm having a sweepstake as to what's been whited out in those photos.
Porno mags, My Little Ponies, and soiled underwear have already been taken.

I was wondering if there are any solutions for mounting just a pedal set.
I'm fine with my t150 mounted to my a desk.

I just seen something to fit my pedals to so they don't slip and the foot rest area doesn't flip up during braking. Are any of you aware of any options for this that don't cost the same as wheelstand from which I wouldn't even use the wheel mounting plate?.

It doesn't have to be pretty it could even be super DIY as long as the pedals just stay firmly in place.
Feels like a crap shoot but if there's any chance of finding one after days of googling I figured this would be the place.

@Chrisuu I just did a search on You Tube for rig tours. It may give you some ideas for the way to mount your pedals.
What pedals do you have? I'm guessing you have the stock pedals for the T150.
Try watching this video
He is using an expensive pedal set that has strong resistance on the gas and brake pedals.

The problem is not only getting the pedals not to move, which can be easy if you have a wall in front of your desk. The problem is also how to make your chair not to move or lift.

15 years ago it was a rolling wood platform, a used truck seat and I think a Thrustmaster, and it served me very well.
It's now a bit out of control but I love it, the wife loves it, and my buddies always seem to be showing up at the door with beer. It's a work in progress as I come up with homebuilt pieces to replace the store bought ones.
