Assetto Corsa Racing Club event

English only please. :)

I'm afraid this race made me pretty upset. Spending an hour practicing only to have it all nullified by SGPs config was really depressing. Not your fault @Denis Betty, of course, these are mostly SGP issues.

So let's go through the list...
  • Having 5 second penalty for a minor off-track (_not_ a corner cut) is ridiculous and probably cost me the race win. We need SGP support to turn it off.
  • There are definitely people present who have never read the RD rules. That's not cool. I had two massive incidents by people who clearly never read the rules. This isn't something that can be fixed by just reporting, since I have no idea who those people are on RD. Are they even on RD? Who knows.
  • Same for Golden Rule. T1 punting behind me looked like really poor standards.
  • 30/30/30 format seems too long for casual races. This is personal, but I much preferred the 20/10/25/rev 25 format. It gives so much more incentive for the guys at the back to continue racing knowing R2 is around the corner. That's how it should be in casual races.

The penalty thing is awful as I tend to spin alot and sometimes you get 5 second penalties for accidently spinning and going on the grass, even when you have lost time it then smacks you with a 5 second penalty its the same on simracingsystem.

I enjoyed the race tho had a nice battle with @Interslice gutted you went off on bend one reckon that would have gone on till the end of the race.

Thanks for organising the event @Denis Betty

I totally agree and I've experienced exactly the same  . But it was the first time with AC and if the SGP guys are willing to act fast on our comments I will attend the coming races to help them to make it better.

I struggled with frame rates all the way through, had no problem in the practice server in the afternoon but even turning everything down I struggled to have a usable framerate in VR.

I enjoyed the race though and thought the way people raced was excellent.

Ah man it was lining up for a good finish. My ankle got so sore and numb from pressing the clutch pedal that I started missing downshifts badly the last 3 or 4 laps! I'm at a desk so it was pinching the top of my ankle.

Thanks RD for the race, even if i was waaaay off speed wise I had (mostly) a fun race! More historic content please!
The not so fun part was being punted in T1 on L1 and people not adhering to club rules that wait when you do.
I'm not mad about the punt, but it'd be nice if people adhered to the rules... :)

Not sure if them guys are even on RD. I don't think the passwrod was working,

Agree with all of that - and after the first few laps I was wondering if entrants need to be premium members? Not much else to say, but due to the ignoring of the golden rule makes me wonder.

Sorry Denis, I know the above sounds negative, and you're doing your best to get sgp going, so please don't think we don't appreciate your efforts.

Stone cold tyres, set off in my qualifying position, managed three corners.
Madly fighting for a place next to me ( stone cold tyres ), got punted, it was bleeding obvious that it was going to end in tears. Why.
It’s getting for me that there is no point in getting ready for a race, it is probably my fault in that I drive very carefully for at least the first lap, that makes me an easy target I suppose, very rarely do I knock some one off, even far less if ever in the first lap. ( there are others here in racedepartment who are the same )

I respect everyone, front runner, middle men such as I, back markers, very slow back marker.

In the end made no difference, fuelled for 2x25min race, at least that was my fault. I can live with that.
2x25 min seems to be my best hope, as I usually get punted in the first race. The first race for me always ends up as qualifying for race 2.

Out on the circuit I am reasonably good at predicting incidences, usually missing them, but being punted, I am 100% at the mercy of others, there is virtually nothing I can do. The first lap for me is a very stressful time, virtually expecting to be punted, only in the second lap do I settle down for the race.

I am not saying it is just me, obviously, I see it happen to others, why do people destroy their race and others for a place that is at best has a very dubious advantage. I don’t do it, for me there has to be a reason, not a gap that locks into my brain that make me wildly dive for it for no real rhyme or reason.

end of rant.

i would like to say I enjoyed the race but being punted in the first lap has become the norm for me these last 8 weeks.:(

The red car was me. I was coasting the corner and the other car turned in and I tried to tuck in behind, I was a bit wary of braking too heavy as I had cars behind and mid corner, unfortunately he came across my front end which span him into you. I didn't stop as I had a few cars right behind me.

Rant - I've searched for @Peter bustram and can't find him to pm or report, doesn't show up as a member of any kind for me - at 1.46 in the replay (Surtees onwards) there was a purposeful turn into me, that was after him hitting someone in the first corner and not slowing. Yes I'm having a moan, but this is no different to public forum stuff.

Best of all I've just seen on srgp I had 7 incidents, this is the only 'incident' I had, whut?

It counts your practice incidents aswell. That's a bit daft. I had 9, 5 in practice. It was only 2 from the race.
