NEW APPLICANTS WELCOME!
(In the final standings your worst five results will be ignored, so still chances to win this championship!)

On March 16th, four days before the Formula 1 event, we will drive on the Jeddah Street Circuit made by Tyrone. Register on our championship page using this link:

First, there is an optional practice session, then a qualifying session which lasts for 20 minutes (plus a bit for people to finish their current hotlap).

The race format for this round is: One 60 minute race with mandatory pit stop (put at least 1 liter fuel into your car)

Also we'll drive at night, so make sure that your SOL settings are in order. Just hop onto the practice server and see if everything works for you!

Further info can be found on the championship page by clicking on the purple button EVENT DETAILS at the bottom of the page in the Bahrain event area.

Hi! Great to see new drivers for these races! I think you need to be premium member to be able to enter the race and access the practice server. Also you must specify your real name in your profile (and on the servers).

@abecede Marcus might be able to send you the instructions for this championship.

Hope you can make it!

Thank you @Boukâh for playing the role of a moderator! :inlove:
You're 100% correct. And @KFMaster , just send me a direct message if you have any questions!

I still have to find the time to practice, my question is: does the server run with the actual race conditions? I mean, will we be practicing at night? It's just so to understand whether by making sure that SOL works in the practice server will mean that in the race evening everything will work..

That night track looks VERY cool. It feels serene to drive on. Completely mesmerizing!

And the track is super smooth and flat. Is that how the real track is? I kept hearing the F1 people talking about bumpy tracks, this couldn't be one of them.

This definitely isn't. However, just as per my experience of practice yesterday, and as per comments on the track page, beware of some curbs as they seem to be unrealistically hard (e.g. in my opinion the ones on the left when exiting the S right after the main straight).

All in all a nice track once you find the proper rhythm (I still have to refine something and understand what to take as a brake reference in some corners), but somewhat boring in my opinion.

Quite angry tonight after two random decisions to restart the race (I was p3-p4 in both of them for driving clean). Why? And after the 3rd start, my setup was reset for unknown reasons, plus I received a couple of collisions at first turn. But no restart this time, so unlucky... Not in the mood to continue after that.

I've never understood the restarts unless there are evident bugs. In this case, I don't think I've seen any bug in front of me

"NO, HAN, WE WILL NOT RACE AT MACAU!!"

That was an odd one, too many ****ups to count

I understand the idea for the restarts though I also fell into the (pitstop) setup trap.

Please next time mention to check ALSO the pitstop setup.

Jedda has no straight where you can build a pitsetup from scratch, first time I smooched a wall while fondling my 7way.:(

My pitstop was late because I had babied my tyres to 2/3 race mark so after a (botched) pitstop I could attack.

And man did I attack the walls, quite embarrassing to loose the car at corner exit.
(And I will not recount how often I embarrassed myself)

So P5 not quite earned, I guess the others cocked it up even worse.

I suggest to try the 25x2 min format next, I think this rascal of a car is a bit to wild for one hour races.

Thanks Markus for all your work, keep it up.

MFG Carsten

I'm pissed too, mostly on myself.
After I did the 3rd restart, I thought I had checked the setup, but I didn't because when I pitted the crew did nothing and in the stress of the moment I decided to teleport to the pits instead of doing another lap and configure the pitstop on track. So that cost me a whole lap, got my tank full and because that doesn't count for a pitstop I still had to configure the pitstop on track and do another one. That all was so frustrating because I thought I had the pace to finish in the top 5 so that I totally lost concentration and made some further mistakes.

The first stint however was fun, being victim of a collision and went from 5th to 15th but managed to climb back to 8th before that desastrous pitstop.

A race to forget!:(

BTW: Love the car and this track.
