Race of Italy Preview
3 to go, and the title race is really hotting up. Tobi Kederer holds a 2 point advantage over Jimmy Laad. Both drivers have won 5 of the last 6 races and are pulling away at the front. DTK Racing can seal the constructors championship in Italy, the only team that can stop them now is Martini Racing Team, who need to score 5 more points than DTK this race to stay in the hunt. 3rd place looks like a straight fight between Dhafin Rizki and William Neron, but you can't rule Rami Saidy and Ben Herbert for trying to launch a late charge. However, Saidy and Herbert could be at threat from Ron Squire, Old Wolf and Milos Ancevski. This will be an interesting season climax. Cristiano Mauri takes us for a lap around his home circuit for the at the OLDRing.

Race of Italy Results

(Sorry that it's so quick, I just want to get videos uploaded while I have good internet)
Laad regains slender lead
Jimmy Laad
took victory in Italy, but Tobi Kederer kept close as he took third place. With two races and 20 points on offer, Laad's 2 point lead is not that much. It is now a straight fight between those two, as nobody can overtake Kederer anymore. Second place for William Neron and a retirement for Dhafin Rizki put the Canadian on equal points with the Indonesian, ahead on countback. The battle for third is on. Rizki retired after brake failure at a hairpin sent him careening into the back of Joel Rautavaara.

RDrFIA Conference
@Jimlaad43 @Davin.Rizuki congratulations, DTK Racing are the constructors champions! Are you two confident about winning the battles for 1st and 3rd?
@kedy89 You've lost the lead you gained earlier, can you get it back by the end?
@William Néron up to 3rd in the championship. Planning to stay there?

pretty sure I want the other quali results back

otherwise, this season actually makes no sense to me, an extra 9 speed makes for me to go from podium to 2 laps behind

I don't quite understand why it works like that either TBH, but stuff like damage causing extra pitstops will always skew results like that. However, if the results were exclusively based on the skills, the season would be pretty dull, as someone would win round 1, get loads of skills and just streak off into the distance.

Then I would have won!...

oh yeah, but I can't see if there is variation involved, and as such, 9 speed has usually been proven to be a massive number, so it really is weird
I dunno, did you see if I got damage at all? if so, then it makes some sense at least

I didn't, I put time acceleration on, and let the race happen, skipping around people, sometimes spotting damage, sometimes not and only looking at replays for when people have actually retired.

Also remember that the min racing skill occurs at random times, for random lengths of time. You could have just been unlucky and been trundling around at the lowest skills for the longest amount of time.
