Laad strikes back
Jimmy Laad took a huge, 10-point chunk out of
Tobi Kederer's championship lead after winning the Race of Europe. Laad won this event last year, and couldn't have chosen a better time to do the same, with his team mate
Dhafin Rizki in second place. The aforementioned Kederer had a torrid race. Stuck in traffic from the start, he lost his rear wing no less than 3 times! Nevertheless, a fight back to 10th was an impressive showing.
Aidan Keranen proved that he may be an out-going champion, but he still has the speed as he took 3rd place. Further down,
Rui Martins and
Cristiano Mauri both scored crucial points.
Steven Poirier was the first driver to retire, a slight hot on lap 1 caused his engine to conk out! Poleman
Rami Saidy had a pretty scary incident. Battling with
Ben Utzer entering a high speed corner, they touched, sending Saidy up and over and into a high speed head-on crash while upside-down.
Florin Diaconescu was the other retiree, after missing his braking point late on and running into the back of
Ron Squire.
RDrFIA Conference
@William Néron you are the last person who can mathematically win the championship. Is it achievable, or is 3rd the aim?
@Rami Saidy, that was a big accident, how are you feeling after that?
@kedy89 3 races to go, and a 2 point lead. Can you stay in the lead.
