Fantastic start!! A few losing in front of me on the first turn, I hit the brakes and it's like I'm on ice all of a sudden. I end up turning 180 degrees and then get hit on the nose by Neil. Apologies Neil, there seemed like nothing I could do at the time to avoid that one :(

Pit straight away and then met the front runners coming around to complete their 2nd lap. After that, my car just doesn't like braking. Again it's like on ice. Thoroughly p1ssed off and in need of beer.

Sorry if I ruined somebody elses night too.

Bahahaha i need to learn how "not" to blow up the engine.
Or this time the engine was strange, it started to cough on the straights a few lap before it went dead, just like it do just before it runs out of fuel.

Well knowing Aponte maybe he put in some strange tuningchip in the engine setup, becouse the Alfa was faaaast today :D

And gratz to Peter, i guess you will win ;)

Oh my what a stupid race. Another disaster in a season to forget for me.

As usual, I messed up the superpole, no surprise there.

The race started alright. I passed a couple of guys despite being pushed off the tarmac by somebody who probably didn't know it happen. I believe it was David Buxton. I was doing allright at P11 with a big gap both in front and in back when I stupidly hit the wall while being too busy looking at the HUD, puncturing a tyre and taking off the splitter.

As usual when making stupid mistakes like this, I soon made more: taking the splitter off again, getting a drive through for speeding and on it went.

But even so, there were fun parts of the race as well. In the middle section, my teammate Chris Rogerson caught up to me and we had a nice fight for a couple of laps. Too bad I was a few laps behind and had to back off due to too many blue flag warnings. I also put in some decent laps, the best one being two seconds better than my qual time (1:48.0).

Wahou, consistent race from me. Qualied second to last, got a slid due to my wheel downshifting twice (the wheel is dying, and it does this sometimes).

In those 2 mins before race, i found out my experimental setup got deleted, and i was on default. I tried to put it together from memory, and was praying that i didn't do anything wrong. Entered the race some 2 secs before it was too late.

First stint, i was getting used to the car (i didn't hit the spot with my quick setup) but the car was consistent and handling predictably. Passed along some crashes, and those that should be slower according to qualy times. THen Glenn Petersen emerged on the horizon and i knew this will be the battle. We exchanged 8th place couple of times before i managed to pull off and bild some 6 sec buffer. During pit 1 that buffer miraculously disappeared and i emerged from the pits right on front of Glenn. That caught me by surprise and thanks to that, i managed to drive one lap before making a stupid mistake (that was at that time, when i realized fully Glenn is really behind me) and so glenn got some 4 secs gift.

After about 6 laps i managed to get behind Glenns rear again and waited for some opportunity. We had some door to door fight and i managed to finally overtake Glenn again. I managed to build up small buffer again in few laps that followed and started to evaluate my situation. P 7 was out of reach and i was sure i can hold P8 if no problems or mistakes come.

And so i grabbed my first finish of the season on P8 ;-)

Sorry dude. Didn't notice any contact with you at all :(.
Bob L seemed to be stuttering abit a car lengths infront of me during the race and next thing I know he was spinning. So I assumed there was a wee bit of lag so waiting for him anyway.

Grats to Peter D the CHAMP:first:
Quali: I did too meny misses so I was 10!!:tits:Only 5 or 6 driver behind me.lol
Race:I was almost a second slower than what I did before race??(I tried too much and slip all over the place Doh)
I was able to climb to third, but Gregory was too fast today and Peter D of course:)
Grats to all drivers:thanks:

This race is my best race in this champioship.

Congratulation for P1 ;)

Division 1

Got the message late on Friday that Aritan would like to sit out, so me as a reserve driver needed to dust of my helmet and start to practice.

Qualified in 9'th spot

At the start i run wide in T1 with my ice cold tires and lost one spot.

Continued for many laps chasing Mehmet and after the first pit stop i came out in front of both Andreas and Mehmet.
Had a strange incident with Christopher A and rear ended him slightly in T2, causing him to slide off.
Sorry for that Chris, but you where strangely slow there and i did not expect that.
Andreas chased me for many laps and after the 2'nd pit stop he where oput in front and i had no chance of catching him

Anyway, finished in a for me nice 6'th spot after a fun race.

Grats podium and finishers and thanks to the organizers.

No worries, byt yeah you took the racing line when catching up to me in the second corner, so I was pushed off.

Yes Bob was lagging. He crashed into me the corner after you did :p

Qualy: Big slide first corne which cost me 1sec to Poleman Peter, next sectors went well which brings me on P3 cloesely behind Joao

Race: First two laps going very well, could overtake Joao in first corner but the braking was almost too late but think i don´t touch Joao. Next lap was also good, could hold the gap of about 2 sec to Peter.
But then maybe i wanted too much and lost my concentration, goining off track in fast lefthander, then next lap again mistake there which cost me P2 to Greg and Joao.
Then the totally mistake, the car went off during accalaration into a wall, find me back on P11.

Unfortunately i hit also Mehmet in pitlane (thought you brake later, how i said you in TS or i could go through you in pit but was before the line) - Sorry for that.
icon_redface.gif

Already before the pit the car was slower on straight but now i notice about 8 km/h slower then normal. With this handicap i was every lap 1sec slower then normal.
But i had also luck 1. because the frontwing dont broken and 2. after a crash between Chris and Jan i get P5 behind Martijn, normally i think i couldn´t get them.
After 2. pit i could hold about 5sec to Jan, last highlight was only that the gap to Martijn on P4 decrease from 20sec to 2sec in finish but i guess he had to save fuel because he pit one round before me and i had only 2.1 on the line (4.1 i needed per lap).
After the the big mistake with damage the car is the result (P5) not bad but i had also a really good setup (Thx to Greg) which bring me normally easy on the podium

but ok after two races without big mistake that can happen.
Congratulation to podium, specially tbr teammate Greg to his second place, and thanks all for racing. And ofcourse great season from Peter - well done you and rpm 2. :thumb:
