Absense

This is the most important part of the league briefing you need to understand! If you are allowed to drive the in league we expect you to be present during all races of the season. If you happen to miss out on an event and go missing in action afterwards without giving any notice the race staff reserve the rights to terminate your licensed member status on RaceDeparment.

Incidents

It may happen that rules get violated. In such cases it is up to the drivers to report the violation. The staff encourages this and will only investigate incidents that are reported by drivers.

No report = no investigation = no penalty

A report can be sent to the staff by private message. It must always contain:

o Name of the league: RDCCC S4
o The name of the reported driver (the violator)
o A link to a youtube or vimeo movie that shows the incident in various angles
o A short description of the incident, without rant.

You must always send the report with your own forum account. You can only send a report if you were actually in the race. Report from outsider will be not be considered.
After sending the staff will then investigate the incident. Incomplete reports will not be considered.

Reports must be sent within 48 hours of the finish of the race. Reports that come in too late might not be considered.

General League Rules

All the general league rules are written down in a document for the 2010 league season. Click here to read it! Additionnal rules or rule specifications might be added in the rule thread so make sure you read them and understand them.

Got back from holiday this afternoon so a few practice laps to get fuel sorted while using the same setup I used in every race.

Took it easy at the start and was amazed I was probably the last to pit, stayed with dry setup and full tank and carried on getting more and more thrilled at not crashing out. Was doing some calculations on fuel after being lapped twice and realised I didn't need to pit again and with a 55 sec gap to Bob H behind me thought I had a good solid 11th in the bag. So much for thinking happy thoughts, the lap after everyone disappeared so I continued for a couple of laps but it became clear I had desync'd from the server so quit and cursed this game and it's wet weather disco problems.

Congrats to Podium.

strong started and strong fading

Before qualy i had something to do somewhere else  and as i came back i wondering everybody was on track. After go on track i saw it, the weather changed to more wet so i was not so bad with 6th even i was slower then in practice.

To beginning of the race it went good, could win some places. Later also Martin and Martijn after he run in the parking zone . Second stint then unfortunatly a wall in the fast shicane which cost me the fron bumper and some downforce in the braking zones. From this i had not the pace anymore but managed to stay in P3 till last stint. It seemed then i got at least one wall too much, i was still looking for a curb, don´t found any i can say now . So Martijn pass me and i also let Dariusz throught caused it made absolutly no sense to defend with 2-3sec slower laptimes. Was looking now for 5th place. with 3 laps to go i watched my fuel and hey, must there not 15l for the rest instead of 10. I had to look more then one time to the display but nothing changed that i had to make another pitstop for one more lap. With setup my fuel in pitmenu i lost also one time the brakepoint, go in the parking area wher Yves and Martin pass me, but with the stop it was equal cause of enought room to Jan. Final lap i drove quite demotivated cause of how the race ended for me from 2nd to 7th .

Congrats Peter, what a win - i had like to make it harder for you :) but my car was not able for this. Also WD Rami despite wrong tyres on 2nd and Martijn in 3rd. Shame for teammate Dariusz only the timber medal but good catch up after this mistake to begin :good:.
Finally :thanks: Toby for the great commentary on the broadcast - i enjoyed it a lot - and Yves for the orgenising part as well as his best result so far this season.

The Paint Scrapper.

I didn't have high hopes when i first tried this track on wednesday, not managing to complete a single lap without hitting the walls. To make it more interesting my DX tool wouldn't start up, not a good news for changeable weather race. On thursday, i had my server up for 3 hours working on clean lines and setup. After 40 laps i managed to go down from initial 2:02:7.. to 1:59:7.. in race trim. Still didn't think i was quick enough for my usual 6 - 7 grid spot. Then the news broke about the weather:rain:and no more time for practice on wet:frown:.
On race day, still without my DX:frown:, i joined RD server 45min before qually, first laps in damp condition and my worst fear comes true, i,m 3sec off the fastest lap and the aliens ain't present in the server yet:poop:. But then a thought pops in, and i ask my team mates if the track was dry before:chat:, and it was:wink::pumpkin:. So i wasn't too slow :D.

Qually:
Its DRY:), i think . I make solid but very cautious lap as the track still looks damp and without my DX i can't be 100% sure of the conditions. 2:00 flat is enough for 2nd but still over 1 sec to Rami:confused::wink:. And if Peter didn't drop it, it would had been 3rd for sure. But best of the non-aliens nevertheless:cool:, by some margin, very happy:banana:

Race:
And the lights went off......2nd corner and my rear is overtaking me, NOOOOO. I expected the worst, the crash, the bumper flying off, other drivers pilling into me, the whole works. Somehow i kept the car off the barrier  but lost 7 places, well done to all whom managed to avoid me :good:. I,m now in between my team mates, Kevin & Andreas H. I know i need to calm down and get on with the race, i still got undamaged car and good pace. But Kevin has got a very good pace too:thumb: and i,m unable to make an impression. After some laps Kevin makes a mistake and i,m through. The rest of the race is a blur..pushing and pushing some more, pit stop, push push, Peter come and gone:rolleyes:, push push, pit stop. Final stint and i,m in 5th, catching Martijn and Andreas big time. Podium still possible, push push push. When i finally got to those two, the fun begins :). We scrap for 4 - 5 laps, Andreas with wounded car trying everything to keep Martijn behind, and me watching like a hawk when, not if, they take each other out :D. But Andreas is driving his pants out, not giving an inch lol. Finally Martijn squizzes through and Andreas is letting me go too:thanks:.
With only 6 or 7 laps to go i try everything on Martijn, the switchover, tighter lines, intimidation, even the bump:poke:. Nothing works:damnit: and Martijn keeps his nerves to the finish line and final podium position:thumb:.
So very fine 4th as well as being my best result so far, happy with that :). Shame to miss on the podium but only have myself to blame :pizza::facepalm:

Amazing drive for Peter to take the win, well done Rami and Martijn for 2nd & 3rd.
Thx Yves ( congrats on your 5th :good: ) and RD, WD all drivers.

The Broadcast was very good this time, smooth like a silk:):). Lonely Toby did great job as usuall:thanks:, and thx to Mr.C. for his involvement too:thumb:

Watched the broadcast interviews back... don't forget guys... "user left your channel" HAHAHA!
Next time I'll make sure alerts are off on the broadcast TS :p. Sorry about that. Good job out there though, gave me a lot to talk about, and you all were brilliant in the interviews, nice to have you all in. More of that next time please! :)

Well the whole day i had internet problems and was hoping they would be solved.
30 minutes before the race they were solved and i was just as happy as a kid on his own b-day hahaha.
The race was pretty hard and long as rain dropped after just a few minutes.

In the first and second stint i was fighting chris sykes and we had some good fun.
At 1 point i was close to him and i think his game had a freeze so sorry to see that mate:(
The conditions out there were dangerous and i had to staf focused for the remainder of the race and fineshed 12th
which is my seasons best:D.

Gongratz to ofcourse Peter and all the other podium guys and Yves thank you for this championship .
Toby you were great again man:)

been working on a new logo for the league, what you think about this one ?

725837RDCCClogo4.png

Hmmmm don't like the mixed fonts to be fair, or the use of the faded colours on the text, it just looks a bit early 90s! But the flags are good :)
Suggest you use Helvetica (or Geneva if you don't have it) for the font of the CCC to match the RD logo.

Qually: 5th ,not to bad but could have been better(....as always i suck at superpole, :) )

Race: Had a perfect start and passed both Vrba and Yves to go into t1 as 3rd.
Then Swiderski made a mistake at t2,so i was up in 2nd place.
Obviously Rami in p1 was not catchable for me :( , but i had a great fight with Andreas after he passed Vrba but i could keep him behind me untill i made a pretty basic error:...DONT LOOK IN YOUR REARVIEW MIRROR TO LONG...oops.:mad:
So i missed my brakingpoint and had to backup and rejoin the track but offcourse both Andreas and Vrba had passed me,grrrr.(banging my head against the wall severall times...)
So now i was in 4th place just infront of Yves, but i didnt gave up.

I tried to get back at them when they made their pitstops, stayed out for 2 more laps before making my own pitstop and came out behind Andreas.
After Yves made his pitstop i was back in 3rd,slowly catching Andreas and as Duivelaar was catching up with us Andreas made a little mistake in the final chicane,so i had more speed comming onto the start finish straight and passed him .
Then i had Duivelaar up my tailpipes but again i made a small mistake ,clipping the inside wall at the apex wich put my car a little bit sideways, loosing tracksion and both Duivelaar and Andreas passed me,oooooohhhh.:frown:

So once again i was behind Andreas, his rear bumper became a familliar sight by now :).
With his slightly damaged car he begain to make little mistakes but i was just not able to pass him and at the same time Swiderski was closing in on us so i really need to make a move and make it stick.

Luckely he went into the pits for his second pitstop, unfortunatly Swiderski was allready on my tail.Could hold him behind me untill i made my second pistop 2 laps after Andrea's made his.
Again i came out behind Andreas after the pitstop, was hoping i could jump him but he had an even bigger gap:confused: ,so again i had to push and struggle to catch him.
At least i managed to stay infront of Swiderski after he pitted but only just.
With the pressure from Swiderski from behind we still managed to catch Andreas,it would become a fantastic battle, some door banging in t1 with Andreas, some "friendly" bumping  and Swiderski having a front row seat watching and waiting how my battle with Andreas would end.

Then finally at t2 Andreas ran a little bit wide giving me the oppertunaty to get beside him and at t3 i was on the good side(inside) of him and squeezt passed him,it was tight,it was giving each other enough room to survive and i was passed, pfffff finally.

Andreas let his teamate Swiderski a few corners later also pass him wich mend that again i had big pressure from behind,we battled it out untill the finish with me just holding on to 3rd spot,Wooooooowie:bang:.

First league podium finish for myself as a FDR driver, and what a podium finish it was.
Absolutly thrilled about the race, great fights and battles throught out the entire race, never a dull moment.
My T-shirt was clued to my back because of the sweat,i had to take a shower after the race, lol.

Big big thanks to all i've battle with, big thanks to Yves for creating this suburb chapionship(and i have to say that the 2 stop races really make for much more flexibility in stratagy and there for a lot more fun :) ).

Also a big thumps up for Toby for his great commantry even if he was on his own this time he made a great job out of it :doublethumb: .

Till the next event guys,cheers

P.S. Sorry for the late race report but was really busy this week.

Saturday April 16th 2011

Track: Interlagos
Mod: True2Life Racing Camaro Cup 2010
Skinpack: RDCCC S4 skinpack
Weather: Changeable via forecast

Practice: a server will be set all day before the qualification
Qualification: 15 minutes Superpole ( 19:10 GMT )
Warm up: 10 minutes ( 19:25 GMT )
Race: 43 laps ( 19:35 GMT )

Weather forecast

Time zone: GMT-4

Interlagos forecast

Due to an extreme busy work schedule I for got to set-up the weather this morning on the server.
Conditions will be default so expext 21 degrees ambiant temp and about 28 degrees track temp.

Starting procedure

please take note that all races this season will use a standing start instead of a manuel rolling start like it was announced in the Intro and Infos thread.

Cutting rules

2 wheels must remain between the 2 white lines at all time.

Pitting procedure

The pit exit have a white line so your not allow to cross it until it end, as for the pit entry its in the racing line so to avoid any pitting incident use the quick chat button that was use at the test race saying " (your first name) Pitting in".

Disconnection procedure

it might occur that someone get disconnected from the server at some point so here's how its go. if you get disconnected from the server during qualification and you haven't went on track your allow to rejoin the qualification and to set a time. in the case that you have already set a time and get disconnected your not allow to set another time so it mean you'll be starting at the back of the field, if you break the rule there will be a penality. in the case someone get disconnected during the warm up the server will be put back in practice to allow the driver (s) to rejoin and those driver (s) will then start the race at the back of the field and we will then go back to the warm up and complete it and the race will now use a manual rolling start. we will do 2 formation laps, the first one will be for doing the grid in the right order in a safe way, once your in the right starting place keep the left side of the track so the driver(s) that need to get at the front of grid can safely pass on the right side of the track. the procedure will be given in chat by the race director (Yves Larose) so it is important that you follow them and remember your qualification place.
