League: RaceDepartment Chevrolet Camaro Cup
Season: 4 (2011)
Game(s) Required: Race On\ GTR-Evo\STCC the game and Race 07
Current Number of Divisions: 1

This league will be on invitational basis only!

Some drivers participated in S1,2 and 3 will receive an invitation to join the league, after the invitations are send and replied the entry list will be updated. Interested drivers, with a licensed membership and ranking status, can apply for the available places but we decide who will eventually drive based on a few criteria:

- driving standards
- commitment
- participation in previous RD leagues

This means that some people will be disappointed but that is unfortunately the downside of this system. We might open up a second server for a second group that will be the feeder series for the next seasons.

Sign-up agreement

Signing up for the league is a contract that your signing meaning that if you sign off at any giving moment after signing up is a breach of the contract. Braking the contract will result in consequences that can go as far as your licensed member status beeing remove or you beeing forbidden to participate to any other RD leagues for a year.

Absense

This is the most important part of the league briefing you need to understand! If you are allowed to drive the in league we expect you to be present during all races of the season. If you happen to miss out on an event and go missing in action afterwards without giving any notice the race staff reserve the rights to terminate your licensed member status on RaceDeparment.

Incidents

It may happen that rules get violated. In such cases it is up to the drivers to report the violation. The staff encourages this and will only investigate incidents that are reported by drivers.

No report = no investigation = no penalty

A report can be sent to the staff by private message. It must always contain:

o Name of the league: RDCCC S4
o The name of the reported driver (the violator)
o A link to a youtube or vimeo movie that shows the incident in various angles
o A short description of the incident, without rant.

You must always send the report with your own forum account. You can only send a report if you were actually in the race. Report from outsider will be not be considered.
After sending the staff will then investigate the incident. Incomplete reports will not be considered.

Reports must be sent within 48 hours of the finish of the race. Reports that come in too late might not be considered.

General League Rules

All the general league rules are written down in a document for the 2010 league season. Click here to read it! Additionnal rules or rule specifications might be added in the rule thread so make sure you read them and understand them.

I fully agree with what Peter said, it will dampen the racing spirit and pleasure of the race, replacing it with a worry about going a bit wide and be accused of cutting. I mean, in real life drivers would use all available pieces of a track to race as long as one doesn't cut by leaving the track altogether.

A good example of racing without any worry about cutting exists within the American Racing Club here at RD, in which the restriction to race are not the white lines but curbs ( min 2 wheels on the curb ) and thats really free one to race and not to worry.
I never liked the RD '' white line '' rule as it is far fetched from reality ( on some tracks one can't even use curbs as the white line is well before it ) and it only creates problems for all. Maybe thats why 80% of my racing here at RD i do within ARC.

Nevertheless i always try to obey whatever the organizers rules are even if i don't agree. Just voicing my personal opinion.

... it just looks terrible if you cut on a broadcast.
really ? I would say it would look much more spectaculate if the car is driven on his limit and sideways on the curb near the gravel then looking all the time for the white line where i´m sure i would be much more carefully and it would looks more like a car on rails.
Also a guess it´s hard if cars follow close each other to see everytime the white line, specially in cockpit and if we get an overtake it could be give discussions afterwards everywhere.
But sure if it´s like Yves said it depends if the drivers report it or not and thats probably very different from case to case. If it´s the rule i try to follow althought it fit´s not so with my racing spirit. The rule what Dariusz said would also get my agreement cause this you can use on every track equal how wide is the curb. With the white line rule you can never follow the fastest line which feels to me like i´m hinder in pushing and so i have to drive with intend slower then it´s possible and that´s not easy to handle, it´s like you ever on the edge on driving legal and driving fast.
In real there is ever a driver breefing where is speaking with drivers and racedirectors and normally the drivers have also a voice. So maybe we could make a poll and if 3/4 of the drivers prefer the ARC rule from Dariusz example then the white line rule could be overthinked this time or not ?

Friends, as i also informed Yves in a PM, i will not be racing tonight due to real life commitments.
I wish you all the best and hope you all get a great race with lots of clean and hard fights.

See you all at the next round at Detroit
Have fun.... :D

For track cutting and track limits issues and penalties,i could go and grab at least 6to8 cases from some top level real life racing series last year where track cutting seems to be getting more and more strict each year, there were a couple of qualify disqualifications that were some of the harshest ive ever seen,Leon Camier WSBK Silverstone is an extreme example,so for us to try and quibble and argue here about a sim race with no large cash prizes waiting at the end is all a bit silly really, for the sake of blurring the line between real and sim racing we are obliged to stay within the track limits as per the race organisers directions, all very simple....and real! :).

Good Luck All Drivers!.

That was a fun race despite me being knocked off in T1. Didn't see anything so it took me by surprised. So my 11th (I think it was) from qualy was gone in a heartbeat. I got on it again and I had six very fun laps after that! I cought guys and passed them like I was an alien. Nice feeling  I was then up to 12th and from there on it was more like a usuall race - gaps of 10 secs infront and the same back. I then cought Yves (looked like he suffered from bad tyres) and passed him near the first pitstops. But then I pitted a lap or two earlier then Yves and from there on I "just" had to keep the gap. Finished in 11th which I am really happy about considering the start of the race and only 5, lol, practice laps before qualy

Grats RPM! Well done!

Cya all next time!

Quali: 4 place Not good start to quali when quali start I broke my headset then try to fast find some duck tape :D
My quali lap was really awful even I cut t1 my sector 1 was 0,2 slower then top guys even you go really wide t1 you not win lot there but it was really hard to take right way ;) **** lap for me :)
Race: I got a good start and I follow Jesper all the way to pit 2 when I went 1 lap earlier but I miss both my pit stops.First stin I was a little faster than Jasper but I could not get over so Peter catch us and then we were like three amigos LOL
After pit 2 Peter was front about 1,5sek and Jesper 3 sek behind my thoughts was that this is done I knew Peter was faster but he was not we did pretty much same times but I hade no chance to over take Peter so second place for me, nice strong drive Peter and Jesper.
Thx Yves, racers and RD see you next time :)
