League: RaceDepartment Chevrolet Camaro Cup
Season: 4 (2011)
Game(s) Required: Race On\ GTR-Evo\STCC the game and Race 07
Current Number of Divisions: 1

This league will be on invitational basis only!

Some drivers participated in S1,2 and 3 will receive an invitation to join the league, after the invitations are send and replied the entry list will be updated. Interested drivers, with a licensed membership and ranking status, can apply for the available places but we decide who will eventually drive based on a few criteria:

- driving standards
- commitment
- participation in previous RD leagues

This means that some people will be disappointed but that is unfortunately the downside of this system. We might open up a second server for a second group that will be the feeder series for the next seasons.

Sign-up agreement

Signing up for the league is a contract that your signing meaning that if you sign off at any giving moment after signing up is a breach of the contract. Braking the contract will result in consequences that can go as far as your licensed member status beeing remove or you beeing forbidden to participate to any other RD leagues for a year.

Absense

This is the most important part of the league briefing you need to understand! If you are allowed to drive the in league we expect you to be present during all races of the season. If you happen to miss out on an event and go missing in action afterwards without giving any notice the race staff reserve the rights to terminate your licensed member status on RaceDeparment.

Incidents

It may happen that rules get violated. In such cases it is up to the drivers to report the violation. The staff encourages this and will only investigate incidents that are reported by drivers.

No report = no investigation = no penalty

A report can be sent to the staff by private message. It must always contain:

o Name of the league: RDCCC S4
o The name of the reported driver (the violator)
o A link to a youtube or vimeo movie that shows the incident in various angles
o A short description of the incident, without rant.

You must always send the report with your own forum account. You can only send a report if you were actually in the race. Report from outsider will be not be considered.
After sending the staff will then investigate the incident. Incomplete reports will not be considered.

Reports must be sent within 48 hours of the finish of the race. Reports that come in too late might not be considered.

General League Rules

All the general league rules are written down in a document for the 2010 league season. Click here to read it! Additionnal rules or rule specifications might be added in the rule thread so make sure you read them and understand them.

Hey guys really enjoyed that race tonight. I have 2 say Toby and Adam V did a Great job. I agree with Toby to make the next Broadcast even better with some changes. I think if some 1 goes out in the race its good to interview them during the race 2 see what happened. When the race is over maybe just the podium finishers in the commantary box. Really enjoyed the event and will be following the season. Well done to all the racers and look forward 2 round 1

Yeah, it was giving me that kind of info, but only after I selected "Drive" and I was out on track. It would be handy to know whats happening on track while in garage.

Also if a link to this kind of add-on is put up, then everyone has a chance of using, and then nobody can complain later on about not having it.

I have no motec or any kind of hud enhancements, and i dont intend on finding and installing any,im a bit confused and unsure how i got tangled up in a changeable weather league, something i try hard to avoid at all costs, its a road ive been down before always with zero enjoyment.
My main gripe with lastnights qualify session was it was actually announced out loud to us all what the conditions would be for qualify, and i assumed that was going to be more or less stable at those conditions all through the session, then all through my qually lap the ever drying conditions are being spammed up in chat letting my competitors know to stay in garage and watch the numbers tumble,it just made all my preperation laps working very hard tweaking away and getting some kind of respectable pace for a change all be worthless and go down the pan.
So what a fun league this is going to be racing against competitors with various little huds n' gadgets giving them all sorts of crucial data, and me licking the end of my finger and sticking it out the garage, looking up at the sky,and then flipping a coin.

Why cant life be all PCC mod at Croft?? :(

Yea its probably just me not keeping up with the discussions building up to S4 and maybe missing the talk about implementing the changeable weather mod,so it sort of all came as a bit of surprise to me,if i knew in advance about it i would have expressed my reservations about taking part earlier, but too late for that....time to grit teeth and just smile through the pain (yes i remember you RDHGP S5).

Guys I would like to apologise for my awful driving yesterday, went to the grid with quali settup 4laps of fuel and dry tyres, car spun on the start  I then pitted to get fuel and to switch to wets it went wrong here to because I ended up with dry's again, complete deaster and I can't apologise enough for my noob actions, I hold my head in shame:frown:

Gary Iv always found changeable weather on Race abit of a joke tbh. Start of race forecast wet then suddenly pouring with rain then 5 laps later a dry track. Really frustrating and none of the XD tools etc helped me because like you said its flipping a coin. Yes you have to guess the weather but in Race its always unrealistic and bizarre.

I thought that was the whole point of making weather files for the dedicated server?

I've done a few events where a weather file has been used, and they went fine, but again, due to me not having Real Time Telemetry, I can't tell what the conditions are unless someone tells me on TS.

I hope the weather will be more straight forward and more predictable, but I also would like to do a race where it starts dry enough for slicks, but by say 3/4 of the race, it starts raining to the point where its wet, but up to the driver if he wants wet tyres or not. So just on the cross-over point, dry enough, but also wet enough.

Last year when all the racer were dry, perfect conditions, I started getting a little bored, I like the racing you get in the wet, and I hope we have more of them.

Just watched the TV broadcast and i have to say: great commentry guys !! Keep it up and big thanks for taking the time to do it.
The weather was a big gamble indeed,i took the gamble for a dry setup and it pretty much payed out.Personally i like the wet or changing condisions even if it's a bit unpredictable.
Was tricky though espacialy off the raceline, didnt took the risk on running out of fuel so made a 2 stopper.
As i understand correctly the rest of the races will be a bit longer so a 1 stopper isnt gonna be possible, but stil a great performance by Degreef with his 1 stop victory.
And i like the standing start,i think it works better than a rolling start but that's just my opinion.
Oh,and great to see those beautiful skins of all the drivers.
Really outstanding job guys.

Cheers for the comments guys, that was mine and Tobys first time so I hope it wasnt too bad. Plus I only had 1 hour to prepare and I didnt know nothing about the League so had to read up alot of stuff before hand. Thanks to Yves for agreeing to let me fill in for Keith.

Well, I had loads of fun guys. I crashed at turn 10 causing terminal damage.

Didn't expect to qualify behind Jesper in 8th place. :D

I learned a good amount of info for the season, and can't wait to get to Birubi SouthernCross.

The only thing I would change would be the fact that the weather system wasn't always clear. I wasn't able to tell how wet the track was and how hard it was raining while sitting in the pits. Put it this way, if it was only 30% or less rain and track conditions, I would've gone out on slicks. I put wets on for the race just to be safe, as someone said in chat that, the track was wet, and that it was raining. But it then changed to Drizzle, and alot of people had already joined the grid. The weather that it is during warm-up, shouldn't change when we go to the grid. it can change 10 mins after the start maybe, las I've seen that happen in motorsport. But at least in RL, the race engineers would be able to forsee that the rain would stop in ten mins. So if that did happen, I would've started on dry tyres.

But the racing was great, and I can't wait for more. Going to enjoy watching the broadcast. Hope my spins weren't caught on camera.

Ethan, if you use RTT, Real Time Telemetry, you can see how hard the rain is on & off line before you go to the grid or if it started hard and is easying off. This is a free app in the down load sections.

I must say i liked the standing start, dont think there were major problems while with a rolling start there seems to be in most cases some incidents during the warmup-,formation lap,and the fact that the league will be a couple of laps longer ,so a 2 stopper is needed,is also something i like, maybe because i have the tendency to burn the fuel by the gallon.

@Yves: How is it possible i got blue flagged when i was starting from pole?
After the 3rd and final warning i decided to let Greg pass in order not to get disquallified.
Is this an error in the game itself or was there some other reason for it?
If i remember correctly it happend to me a few times before but all were on public servers.
