Our test server was up last night with up to five others on track Gareth, I know Ingemar popped on for a bit. I'm beginning to think my posts are invisible, lol.

As for the AI, tell me about it. We ran a 50 lap race with 5 AI (all in more powerful cars) and they don't mess about. They expect you to be magnetised to the car ahead and any hint of a lift from you turns you into a pinball plaything for the AI. Despite a spin which dropped me off the lead group I still won though. I pitted early and fuelled to the end, got into a battle with Mo Guegelmin and Bobby Rahal for third after the AI pitted. Then I caught a lucky break as all the AI cars pitted for a second time with 3 to go. Mad race though.
 
Yea I saw you guys were going to run around 7pm but I had to do something in the evening so I couldnt make it unfortunatly. Ran quite a bit in the afternoon with the AI but as you know they dont really help ya. :)

Anyway, Looking forward to the test event tonight!

I also think we will be making history, The fastest event since RD was born :)
 
I'm looking forward to it with a certain amount of trepidation. 25 cars on track is going to be very busy, very busy indeed. As pretty much all of my racing here has been restricted to GTL it's the first time I will be racing against a lot of the field. I don't want to be the guy that causes a 17 car pile up from the start, lol.
 
We all know how easy the big one will be at the start,

Patience, patience, patience thats all I can say. Once we get into some sort of single file we will be fine I think.
The problem with these cars is the huge amount of speed you gain in the draft, People get so much more speed and instantly go for the overtake.

If you go into the wall once hard your race is over, Suspension does not get fixed in pitlane and your car will drive like a dog for rest of the race. If you can drive it at all!
 
I agree with you both, drafting is not a ticket past, it can be but last night going around and around, it made so much more sense to sit behind and take the draft, i saved alot of fuel and simpy waited it out.

But the start will be tense! ooooooh i cant wait!
 
Yep, Sit behind a car and save gas with the engine boost turned down :)

Not really a great tactic for this sprint race but good for the 200 lapper to get a few more laps out of the tank.

Anyway, You only need to be infront out of the last corner, Anybody wanting to lead going into the last lap must be crazy!
 
open qualy is like others cars are on track and privat one is like superpole in race ??
normaly it should then be privat but maybe to have more time to learn the other ppls line and speed
we should use open qualy in the test race

so +1 for open qualy
