I'm having no problems with my skin on the server. The only thing I have a problem with is my pace... with a race setup and full tank, no matter what I do, I can't get under 2:15 flat. Would an alien be able to provide me with a replay to help me see where I'm going wrong over the course of a lap?

Rhys, I don't have seen any lap of you. But to give an advice beforehand: Do not overdrive the car! The track might look easy and small mistakes seem to be not too affective. But they are, more than the average on other tracks. Driving slower is faster here. For example, if you are just a bit off the line in the two right handers after the second back straight, especially the second one, nearly a whole second is gone (if you miss both)! Also the twisty section in sector one is very important. There exists exactly one fast line (which I am also do not hold all the time). The only part where you can take different lines with the same result is sector three, but also it is extremely important to get the last corner right, otherwise you throw away the whole lap.

For me, it seems that this track is 100% a driver's track. The setup has only a very small relevance. I tried several approaches with the setup, all with less than a second difference. It was just a matter of adapting the driving style.

I started hitting a setup "brickwall" yesterday afternoon and decided to try an old trick of loading up the defaults,i used to find myself doing this a lot when i ended up chasing a setup too much and going off down the wrong road....Anyways..defaults started producing better laps than anything i clicked together.

Looks like Im in luck :D just heard someone pulled out and got invited to do the drive, said yes so hear I am with the amazing Porsche, no setup and re downloading the track haha, need to get some laps in and get the skin pack, should be on the server soon! Cant wait to be in the series after putting my name down at first, should be amazing!

Whooohaaaa, nice car (Porsche of course) and nice track :)

Its all a huge learning curve for me. Drove this game once for 1 hour but ill get used to it. Just playing a bit with the setups and i did my first 14s today \O/

See you on Sunday guys...

I may not be able to attend this race.

I've just got a brand new computer, and while rFactor runs fine offline, online I keep getting the message 'synchronizing game' every 20-30 seconds. It makes the game unplayable online, and it happens on all servers.

I know here at RD you punish absence without an excuse, so I thought I'd give everyone a head's up. I've sent Ivo a pm.

I'll try my best to solve the problem before the race.

EDIT: I *think*, touch wood, I've solved the problem. CPU speed was interfering with things...
