Welcome to the First TEAM GOOD LOOKIN
Drivers Guide for the RDGT-C drivers meet @ Suzuka!
Hi race fans!
TEAM GOOD LOOKIN are well known to many of the WTM drivers already for our informative, factual and hard hitting drivers guides. We always work hard to bring you on the spot reports, interviews and track guides to help you make the most of your racing!
For our first ever RDGT-C Guide, we at
TEAM GOOD LOOKIN have managed to get a last minute interview with RD Racing Staff new guy and personal friend, Mr LEE PALMER! Plus a quick overview of Suzuka and some of the on and off track places of interest! Enjoy!
The Suzuka track has a great many points of interest along its lenght, including a really good Sushi Bar just at the entrance to the 'Spoon Curve'
and a nice little watering hole that serves a damn fine Sake just inside the Casio Triangle.
Also, Suzuka is famed for its very hospitable and utterly charming Grid Girls (Just ask Lee Palmer and Adam Eggbeer!)
As a special, for all you
TEAM GOOD LOOKIN fans, I managed to get a Sake fuelled and some what Grid Gal distracted Mr Lee Palmer to do us a quick interview about this GT-C race and his habbits etc!
ENJOY!
BC: Hi Lee and thanks for agreeing to do this interview!
BC: do you have any pre race habbits or rituals?
LP: Not really. For longer races I always fill up my two bottles with
Sake (not for a laugh, incase I get thirsty). Apart from that its
just practise starts and just be ready to race. Oh and of course
I like to have Mr Snuggles my lucky Teaddy Bear to hand too!
BC: Where do you see yourself finishing tonights race?
LP: Depends how many people turn up. Personally I'm not too bothered, I'm
still learning the Viper and will be happy to finnish two bottles of Sake and the race.
The experiance of Suzuka for the duration should give me a good idea how the car
behaves once my blood / alcohol level is high and going into the actual league races.
BC: As a member of the racing staff, do you have any pearls of wisdom
to impart to the other drivers?
LP: None other than don't crash, enjoy the racing and if you try to pass me, expect
to feel the sharp end of a Viper up your bumper
BC: Is there any truth in the rumour that you refuse to drive unless
your allowed to use your ipod and have ABBA Classic hits playing?
LP: Who told you that? No there is no truth in that rumour, I HATE ABBA, I only listen to
The Bay City Rollers!
BC: Do you enjoy Sushi?
LP: No I do not like any fish food, apart from Cod from the local chippy
BC: Is it true you were seen in the clutches of two very attractive
grid girls in the pits at Suzuka yesterday? and why was Adam Eggbeer
seen running after you, shouting "wheres mine"???
LP: No Comment
BC: How are getting on with mighty Viper?
LP: So far testing has been going well, it has alot of power at the rear
wheels and does understeer a bit but feels good. Looking forward to
seeing how quick it is versus the other machines.
BC: A balanced and healthy diet, is of course essential for a race
driver. Whats your mum cooking tonight for tea?
LP: Mums making me a Hotpot. For the record I may be eating an ice cream at the minute
aswell and of course, drinking some Sake too
BC: We are all well aware that Kris Vickers and Ryan Callan insist on
wearing lucky underpants during a race (Infact they wont wash or
change them till the end of the leauge!) Do you have any 'lucky'
garments?
LP: Not 'lucky' items but I always make sure I have socks on (atleast). I
just can't drive in barefeet.
BC: Okay, thanks alot Lee, though I think most of our readers dont
really want to think of you driving 'ONLY' in socks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is
this part of a cunning plan to put off your opponents?
LP: Maybe...... we'll have to see.
Thanks for the interview Lee, very, errrr, enlightening!
Well, that just about wraps up the first
TEAM GOOD LOOKIN Drivers Guide for the RDGT-C. Hope you enjoyed it and as always, everyone here at TGL wishes you good luck for the event and have fun!
