Damn damn damn....

Had a super qualify and started at the second place. Now, you all know that the second place is for the first looser, and i can confirm this...

I couldn't find my pace and then there was eu rouge... first to the left went well, second corner to the right wassn't good... :bomb:, that was my left rear tire... From there on i had a long drive to the pit. Fixed it all in the pits and there we go again. eventually from 23th to 16th, but not happy... Ah well, see you all on the next track...

thanks all for this race and grats to the podium (damn, i could have stand there :poke:)

first Grats to Neil for a 7th place finish, very well done mate :doublethumb:

Qualy: once again i messed up my qualy hotlap running wide in many corner and took 11th place on the grid but i feel i had a tp 10 or maybe even a top 8 spot in the car.

Race: since the race was starting on a slightly damp track i decided to be cautious the first few laps specialy at Eau rouge. i kept my 11th place for a few laps and then in the next few laps i was gifted a few places with run off and one blowing his engine big time. i was even surprise to be able to keep up and event gaining on the pack infront of me but around lap 12 i accelerate too hard exiting the hairpin and lost it in the pit wall gap and lost my front splitter. i had to slowly make a lap and pit and i over shot my pit costing me even more time. exiting the pit i was now in 20th place :frown: but some haven't pitted yet so when they did i gain a few places back, put down my head and start pushing like hell to make up for the lost time and was able to make it up to 12th places under a second behind Xosé where i finished the race a lap down on the leader.

overall i had a better result then the first round but still very disappointed at myself as i know i could have finished in the top 8.

thanks Bram for setting up the league and thanks for RD for the hardware :doublethumb:

C5R div.
Had a peaceful race.
Qualled 9th which was good but there were only 17 guys on grid (2nd round and bolox already)
The formation lap was clean but i had to brake and run up to the guy ahead of me all the time.
For some reason Race decided that the guy behind - Fabio Fernandes , was a lap ahead and i was getting constant blue flags.
A Blue Flagger that i am is always well prepared for such occasions, so i just slowed down and ran away to reset the flag counter...
The race went on and going in to Rouge ive lost my balance a bit. Fabio took his cake on the long straight but i took it back as he got on the curb in Rivage.
Ive kept following Marius Neverauskas and there were a few cars close to each other for a while. The ive noticed im loosing engine health badly.
Bad habits from other mods of quick reduction caused this and i panicked a bit. Thinking on how to preserve the engine ive overshot the braking points towards La Source. Being right behind Marius ive made last second evasion by going deeply to the inside. I've lost 2 position sitting on the swampy off road but i was more happy that i didn't hit anyone. Nearly at the end of the stint Marius made a mistake and hit a wall. Crawling to the pits I've cached up on him and as i was pitting as well for a normal change it turned out my mechanics let me out just a few seconds ahead of Him.
The rest of the race was peaceful. Except for a moment when the game froze for about 10 seconds, and i was already expecting a mini dump. Luckily it came back and with a lot of time difference ahead and behind i just cruised to the finish line on 5th place.

Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to the organizers.

Nightmare! I didn't felt worst than now in my entire simracing career.
Qualification(5th place): I entered with a not so good setup and in HOTLAP i'v taked the middle corners bad, like on the exterior as i was very tensionate.Short: i'v done mistakes.
Race(connection lost): After a very good and safe formation lap(only the guy behind me it was in big hurry as he was allmost the time staying in my back bumper and there was a risk to have a crash and i flashed him to understand to stay back more to avoid any incidents),after i passed the start/finish line,up on Eau Rouge, all the cars dissapeared but i keept diving untill the end of the big straight when nobody came back on my map and track. I realised that i was completly a lost connection. My internet droped tonight, when i was feeling the best in my life,i was having a feeling about this race,an amaysing one,a good one,a big one, really really i was expeting me to be on the podium, but the unluck followed me tonight also as he allways do it,more or less, tonight he really revenged on me,but i don't know what i'v made bad to get something like this instead. :( Really depressed,it was the greatest race for me,untill "LOST CONNECTION" :poop:

Thank you RaceDepartment and racing staff anyway,YOU ARE THE GUYS!

C5R Cup

Coming into the event I had done next to no practice with my times being ~1:18.5, so coming into the server and seeing Jari and Henrik doing 1:15.000 and better I set my sights on 3rd.

Qualified 3rd with a 1:16.989 which I was happy with. Setup felt a bit odd, I was using my Brno setup and it was only perfect through T11/12/13.

Formation lap was quite speedy, except on the last corner which was a bit slow. I was no where near Jari over the S/F line but Hugo was close. He passed into T4, I thought by braking a little bit early, he might run wide but he didn't so I was down to 4th. He was pulling away through most the track but I kept closing it up through my best section. On lap 3? he ran a little wide through T14 allowing me to close up and then under pressure he ran wide at T16 allowing me to pass at the Chicane. That was pretty much it. I held a 2-4 second gap over him for the rest of the race. I went wide into a couple of corners and he closed up once making me try a bit harder but I was really taking it easy. I could have done all 65 mins on one set of tires if I wanted to but I wasn't allowed to

While I enjoyed my little relaxing drive round Spa, unless the was some real action behind me, that would have been dead boring for the crowd. People from last round, Dan and Dinca for example, weren't here so nothing much happened up front. Now if people's car exploded when they disconnected, that would be interesting for the crowd :D

So congrats to Jari and Henrik, just too fast for me to stay with you. Would have been nice if I had got to do more practice, might have been just as fast

edit: And I got another Java SE Runtime error, I could see the green bar flickering on my screen for a lap, thankfully I didn't alt tab this time

Oh I'm so pissed.
Couldn't get a decent setup, the car was really a handful under braking. Massive lift off oversteering, wasn't able to push like I wanted to get some better times around Spa.
Qualification was medium.
The race was good gaining some positions through crashes in front of me - the lap counter went down in 5th place. :) Untill the last 15 minutes it was looking promising, when Giorgos Davakos suddenly decided to went off from the ideal line while I was lapping him. I tried to circumvent the crash, resulting in a spin and ramming into the wall. Limped a whole lap back to pits, without a frontsplitter and serious suspension damage. My boxcrew wasn't able to repair the suspension damage properly, so I went straight on the dirty track in the box exit lan, hit the wall again and totaled my car.
There was a car that was going to lap me on the last corner and I try to move away but the problem was I could not understand where he wanted me to be as we was changing lines as well and he ended up spining and crashing. Again I AM VERY SORRY :( .
The rule is simple, don't do unusual moves (change lines, sudden braking ie), when a car is near behind and want you to overlap.
I had no chance to react in such a short distance! :frown:

First i want to say congrats to all and i wish i could of been there but.....
I am verry sorry for not showing.Reason: F%@$#g power drop because of the heavy rain that was here.Right when was about to join.I am cursed.
I am feeling so bad because i promise that i will be able to be present all the races. Now what credibility has my word...:(

What a heartbreak.

I qualified on p5, and in warmup I found another 7 tenths. Long story short, I had a quick car.

In the race, I had really nice start, allowing me to pull away from p6 pretty easily. Then I just took good care of my tires running behind Gijsen. On aout lap 5 or 6, Gijsen made a mistake and went well wide on a corner, allowing me to slip up to 4th. Then Hugo completely lost it going through eu rouge (thought he might bounce into me a for a second there, but he did well to control his wreck.)

So I was 3rd place half way through. My whole strategy was to save tires so I could have a good run toward the end of the race. And I set myself up almost perfectly for that, with Hannu only about 4 seconds up the road going into the pits. Problem was, for whatever reason, I went into the pits but my crew didn't do anything. It was simply a stop and go. My initial thought was 'screw it, keep going' but then I know in the rules it says that you have to change at least 2 tires. So to be fair I had to go back in to do that, to keep my concious clean. Well... I ran into the same problem and once again got no tires, no aero damage fixes, no nothing. I tried one last time on lap 19, but it still didn't work, so I had to dnf.

Most likely would have finished 3rd with a chance for 2nd, but instead I got 20th. What a bummer. :(

heartbroken for Dan :(

practice and warm up never found one clean lap, quali was 1.5 sec off my PB so 20th of 23 on grid, not happy with that. Never saw the guest driver either :(

race:
slow guy + Spa + GTPro + damp = disaster ten times over

This was my basic calculation so I took it real easy the first two laps. Once I had settled into a rhythm I had Dave all over my back and Xose too a little later. Got my wheels on the grass ever so slightly aproaching the last turn in lap5 so I spun and had to let 'em both pass. Rejoined with some distance to Hansi and managed to finally slip into a good rhythm following Hansi and gaining about 0.4 every lap. In lap11 he went just a little wide in the last turn before Busstop so I could do my only real pass in the whole session. Moved up the grid as people pitted earlier. I was in 12 in lap 14 with Chesters and teammate Babij pushing from behind. James was a true gentleman all through the lap but I suppose he was happy when that blue Audi finally pitted in and he could concentrate on battling the one right behind. Pit went swell and exited just ahead of Marcin who lapped me a little later. I found myself in 15 with Dave and Marcel pushing mightily from behind. They passed me when I messed Eau Merde one single time in lap 22. However, other guys' misfortunes meant I was up in p15 again soon with Dave pulling away at about 0.5 secs a lap and Chris behind at about the same speed or slightly faster but 25 secs down. So I just cruised home, happy as a clown with p15.
With Krzysztof in 9 and Marcel in 13 we came up with a superb result for Audi!

Thx RD for this best series ever (apart from STC that is :) )!

Qualified 14th (i think)
Finished 7th

Took it easy at the start and did not contest James as he breezed past me with his Viper, instead i thought well i am full of fuel and i know my tyre wear is pretty even from front to rear so i just hoped to hang onto the pack in front and maybe pick a few off as the tyres started to wear and my fuel load started to drop and that's exactly what happened apart from one wee hiccup when i got caught car watching as i came up behind Krzysztof around lap 11 going into Pouhon and instead of taking the corner i ran wide and spun on the curb which dropped me back into the clutches of Michael and Marcel, apart from that it was pretty standard hunt down the car in front and keep it on the track. Had a moment or two at Blanchimont as the car ran wide but i had it set high enough so the curbs were not too big a problem.

Finished the race with 2.21L left in the tank so glad it finished when it did as i did not have enough fuel for another lap :)

Thanks all for a good clean race :doublethumb:

Very satisfied with my result considering my qualy...

Qualy: last, managed to make 3 mistakes in one single lap :rally:

Race: started from the back with the idea of put as much pressure as possible on the cars in front of me supposed to have worse race pace, so I did and went in the first third of the race from P23 to P16. I pitted early (not planned but decided in last moment) and the strategy payed out because I could make faster laps with new tyres and when everybody finished their pitstops I was in 12th position. Then somebody in the TOP10 left the game so I was up to 11th, quite a god result considering I had to recover from last place.

Thanks to everybody involved :)

Ah - that could be the problem then - RACE has long had an issue with using the pit menu to request a pitstop - assign a dedicated 'pit request' binding and keep auto-pit off.

If you need to refuel during stops then assign Starter and Ignition keys also - you can restart the engine manually while waiting for tyres to be fitted, rather than waiting for the game to do it automatically at the end of the pitstop, saves 1-2 seconds.

Sorry guys i missed the race... havent been able to get on a computer since friday.. im at the libary now checking emails and stuff :D... roasted my gfx card.. trying to get a new one by tomorrow sorry

well what a race
after a bit disappointment of first round, this round came out better...

I knew I was fast, but since helping my sis moving to a new home all weekend long, my body was just to tired so I knew I would be in difficulty.
Qualification I could have done better, but I made so many mistakes that it was just not possible to do. P8 i think

Race started and decided to pick the guys up front of me 1 by 1......Remco was slow in Eau and other places that I almost crashed into him...feeeuw....lucky we did not, but was a nice battle......Then came Fernando and he also was slow in eau, so planned my move on him on the straight after Eau after a couple of laps.....at the end of the straight passed him, but he also killed his engine. THat sucks buddy.

Then it was Yoeri and from that time of passing it kept an RPM train in 4-5-6....It was a hard fought first half, especially hard with me being tired and still making a lot of mistakes....then the time of pitstops came and I was able to get p3 and closing on Hannu. From there it was the whole last half a 8 sec gap to him and a 7 sec gap to the guys behind me.

Finished p3 with RPM 1,2,3,4.......so I am very happy with my result here, especially with me not liking this track...

thanks for the great fun everyone ;)
