SuperPole:

First thing i was thinking was to be in the top 10,and that happend.I did my best time(PB) around 1.58...
That put me in 7th place on the grid.Happy with that place, cant ask more.

Race

1rst lap runed great with no problem. After takeing the last corner, the race started puting all the cars in line.
After staying behind Henrik Horvarth for 6 laps,i found an open on the outside and take it just before ending the 7th lap.In lap 8th i made some mistakes that give space to Brad Merys, who came fast,to overtake. After some light touch with Brad (sorry for that ) and one atempt to overtake,i lost control and in lap 11 i colected some grass in the wheels loseing 2 places now beeng in 6th.
Trying hard to catch up the cars in front, didnt realyse that it was time for pit.In lap 16 the guys in front pited and i was alone in 1rst place just 1 lap and in 17th lap i need it to pit. After geting out from pits i sow that i was in 7th place.
With fresh tires and a litle reasted..:D....i pushed hard to gain the car on 6th place (i didnt know who was on 6th because i didnt even see the car,it was to far) and managed to get close enough to see Tobias Kluge. From lap 19 i have tryed to overtake Tobias, but i didnt had enough power to make that posible. After some light touch and a major touch where Tobias spined the car (sorry for that mate) i kept that position till the end of the race, loosing time lap by lap and makeing the gap biger and biger.
Good defending Tobias,grats,well done.
Finished in 7th.Was a good race overall, beeng my first in this cars on this track on that many laps...:)
Grats to podium and all the finishers.

sorry guys and admin for not show for the race i have enter the server in pratic i am getting problems whit me computarfor some days hen i us ingame it keape poping into desckop and i got a blue screen so found that us bether to stay off the race because it cood appen again and dint whant to mess up the race whit the pop up and my car stayde on track soory it us frustating us expecting a good race.

I am ready for Spa fresh windows now.

For Eurico i can tell i remember Giorgos (or somebody) trying to explain His technical situation just prior to the Qually (yet server was broadcasting important messages then , not reading)
For other absent guy: Wayne Reed. Iam unsure who it was but that was one person that was confused once the superpole qually begun - stating that he cannot see other cars which as we know in superpole is normal as everyone has a private track. Anyway i think the guy panic and left.
Anyway taking a look at the server chat log could bring some light to those cases.

Corvette C5R Challenge

Qualification(14th place) - For my shame,i didn't praciced only 2 laps with 1 hour before the qualifications.I entered the server in last 10 minutes of practice, but didn't made at least one full lap because i was working on setup. After i strugled to get somethig good,my team mate Dica Andrei offered me his setup for qualification and also for race. I quckly load his setup and start doing the last lap of practice. So,here i am on the 14th spot of the grid.

RACE(10th place finish) - I was having a strategy with 2 pit stops. First one in lap 12,second one in lap 24 and from there to the finish. Most of them pitted only once but becaus of my setup i was obligated to do 2 pit stops.
The leader started the formation lap,but one guy 5-6 places behind me,forgot about the formation lap and accelerated between cars untill he was side by side with the top drivers and realised the mistake, but i don't remember when he joined back his place(maybe it's my bad memory). :)
Also,in the formation lap,Alex Woods, who was in front of me(13th)was trying to warm his tires and,in a straight he accelerated very hard,i was keeping after him like a foul, and when he aproach to the corner he braked very very strong and my car didn't stop in time and i tapped him a little bit from behind. But it was anuf force in that tap to make us spin out of the track.I rejoined last one and waited for him to regain his position in front of me. One guys,i can't remember his name, gived me his place and now i was 2nd last and Alex 3rd last:frown:.So,the real race started with me on 21th spot.In first lap i managed to got 13th place as many drivers crashed in different places of the lap.
My tires were gone from lap 7 but i drove with them like that untill lap 13 when i decided to make my first pit stop(the setup was very bad as the tires were getting used very quickly,at least the front ones).
In that time,i was on 9th place. After my first pit,i dropped 3-4 places from what i remember and again i was finding myself on 13-14th place.Untill lap 24(when i decided to make the 2nd pit stop as my tires were again very used and the cornering was now at 50% eficiency)i managed to got my place back,9th place.I exit the pits right behind the race leader,Moses, and i keept after him(on 10th place) untill the finish. I liked the race alot as it was very challenging because we were using the same car and the drivers were very clean.
I want to appologies to Alex for that tap in formation lap,but also i want to tell him that in formation lap we have to stay at around 100km/h and not going to 160 and than braking hard to 60,also was my foult,i admit, and sorry again. Also,in the race,he was taking a corner on the exterior as his back was sliding and i was coming on the interior but in the same time he was coming back on the line again and i tapped him very very little on the back but he spined and i didn't waited as i tought that is not my fault.
Again in the race,(but his one was before the incident with Alex,i arranged them bad in my story)in one of the corners,Fabio Fernandes lost his grip and he was going on the exterior of the corner and i tooked advantage of this.I taked the conren on the inside, but he was coming closer and closer from the exterior untill my first 3cm from the front of my car, touched his first 1cm of the back of his car,and the result was him spinning.I waited for him to regain the place in front of me.

Overall,it was a great race. Thank to the racing staff and RaceDepartment!:D See you next time:cool:.

Qual : 9th place, happy to be in top 10 even if I don't make my very personal best (1.58.9, I remember to have done 1.58.1 in practice), actually, I was afraid to be out of the pace during practice, for some reason, the car was quite bad when I practised in the server, but during qualy and after then, it was better.

Race : Starting 9th, formation lap goes well, I start just in front of one of my "car-mates" (Asbury), and behind Garcia (in a Lister), basically, the first part of the race went very well, very great battles, I could manage to gain some positions, and was 6th or 5th at lap 15. However, bad strategy, I pitted a bit late, so I lost many places, and was 12th after my pit stop, after some people in front of me were pitting/did mistakes/were overtaken, and also after several cars overtaken me (especially Asbury who superbly overtaken me and therefore taken the lead in the "Viper Challenge"), then in the penultimate lap, I overtaken Garcia in turn 2, but he tried to close the door, and I/he shunted him/me, he went wide, during the action, I thought this would have almost no consequences (just a few seconds lost), but then I saw in my mirrors Garcia in the sand trap of the following turn, so even if David says it was not my fault (in one hand, he was closing the door while I was already in front), I'm sorry, because he lost many places in the two last laps. So, at this moment, I was 9th, around one second behind Asbury, and I was looking forward to overtake him again, even if it would be difficult (not sure I would be able to catch him in the last lap frankly).

But in the last lap, I hit a lapped car which was literally stopped, actually he tried to let pass the other cars in front of me but was in the middle of the line, just at the exit of the turn, so when re-accelerating, I was expecting him to re-accelerate too, but he was almost stopped, and I couldn't avoid him, and lost two places.

Finally finished 11th, I was quite dissapointed since I was about to have a top 10 finish and as I would liked to first among the Vipers. Now looking forward to Spa, however, I don't expect a much better result there, as it is not my best track.

That was me who took off like a bat out of h#ll in the formation lap in the C5 race. I must have read the formation lap stuff atleast 4-5 times. I even told myself to not be "that guy". But in the end when the lights went off I nailed it, :poop: what an idiot. Sorry about that guys, I have to deprogram my brain that when the lights go off it does not mean haul a$$.

It was quite the mess at the rear of the grid.
The formation lap looked good at the front but I dont know what happned at the rear some one jumped the gun but then came back to his place, The pack was moving way faster than 60mph I was doing 58 to 60 mph on the dot and I could not keep up.
Then during the formation lap there was a spin and a few cars ended up off track I didnt see what happned lucky for me I knew I was last place so as long as I stayed at the back I knew I was in the right position.

Then 2nd lap there was a crash I avoided one guy hit a cloud of smoke and then at the end of the smoke I was greeted with a corvette facing the wrong way there was nothing I could do I hit him straight on and lost all aerodynamic properties from the front end of the car and crippled the suspention so I had no choice but to pit which got me lapped.
Then I got a stop and go penalty for speeding in the pit lane which I dont know how it happned as I had the speed limiter on so that got me lapped twice then I had to pit for new rubber and I got lapped for the 3rd time.

So not the best start for me but at least I managed to keep what little of a car I had going to the end of the race.

I decided not to make a report about the crash at the beggining of the race as it simply was not either partys fault I dont know how the guy ended up facing me but there little he could have done to avoid me as there was so much smoke we didnt see each other untill it was too late to take evasive action.

Congrats to all and look forward to spa which should prove to a lot more of a flat out race with its high speed corner and long straights, the corvette should performe a lot better on a track like SPA.

Qualified 17th
Finished 16th

Made a backside of qualifying, I had hoped for a low to mid 1:59 but instead it was over the 2 minute mark.
Race start went fine, dodged a few early tangles and made it up to 13th then braked too late and lost a couple of positions. Then dropped to 20th after Bram gave me a hand to point the wrong way but no damage done and it was back to business again as Bram and I worked back to where we were before our coming together only for me to get caught dreaming and missed my braking point in turn one while thinking jeez Bram is pitting early guess he must be 2 stopping checked my own tyre wear and sheeeet brake brake brake oops too late as I head into the kitty litter.
The second half of the race I spent trying to close the 8 second gap to Dave in front with the other egg, I made good progress but every time I got to within 2 or 3 seconds I would make a mistake and let him off the hook, with a couple of laps left I had closed it to around 2 or 3 seconds and though it was going to be a big maybe if I was going to catch him and when Hannu came up to lap me I had too slow to let him pass and knew that was it Dave had the better of me but no he slowed as if short of fuel and I grabbed that place.

My first GT pro race for a long long time and I enjoyed it immensely even though I hurt like hell after it but that was my own fault for driving with the FFB set too high on a new wheel I had only just plugged in the night before.

Thnx all for a great race, see you all at Spa.

I was only pushing as you kept getting to the 3-4 secs gap. I thought as the leader had lapped me and already crossed the line that I would be done when I crossed after the zero mark, just finish then -1lap. Apparently not, I had to do another lap and was 3 corners short on the fuel. ggggrrrrrr!

Maybe an idea to report that starting incident as it was communicated like 100 times via the forum. If people then still don't get it, then what more can we do?

Bram,i was not trying to discuss the incident here, and i was not going to do a incident report as it don't mind about that. Just wanted to explain whant happened in my race and to apologise for those situations. :) Really don't trying to make someone feel guilty or something else. :) Thank you!

An incident report is not to make people feel guilty, but to assure we can continue with clean racing :) A good rolling start procedure is in my opinion a very important part of the race.

An incident is not automatically a penalty, but can also result in a warning or a simple pm :thumb:

I think the best advise to give is for people to read, read & then read the race format and briefing notes that Bram & the rest of RD admin put together. Rolling start, 60mph, no sudden braking or weaving, and race starts after the last corner. So come on guys please read the race briefings and lets get it right so we can all have a great race..
