That was the worsed race ever for me I had so much bad luck.

1st of all I could not figure out why my car was going from good to bad when we changed from practice to qualifing and it was my car set up for some reason kept changing back to default setup so I hade 95% brake presure which in turn kept locking the wheels up into a corner so then I got that sourted and it was all good untill the hot lap were I saw no one on track and thought my vertion was playing up so i blew my hot lap by resetting.

Then the formation lap was all over the place at the back some one jumped the line well and truely then I had to go over 60mph to keep up with the line, then there was a crash and everyone was all over.
Then after the last corner and the race began there was a crash and blinded by smoke I crashed into some one facing the wrong way so that was the front end of my car missing so I had no choice but to pit and repair the damage as my car was all over the place so that got me laped twice then I had to pit for freash rubber and that got me lapped 3 times.
Then there was a problem with my front drivers side tire wearing out way faster that the other 3 due to tire presure i think, so my car handled like crap on left turns.

So after all that I decided to the only thing I could do and just keep what I had on the track and stick out the race and hope that there were some crashed and DNF's so I could gane some places.

Hopefully SPA will prove to be better for me as I know and have played the track meany times in verius games.
Congrats to every one who finished the race.

Horrible race for me.

I had close to no practise, but since I'm familiar with both the car and the track I could do some damage control in qualy. I seemed to do well until I hit Dan. A bit unlucky there with him sliding out somewhat and me catching him in the rear. Plain stupidity made me spin onto the track after having gone through the gravel trap after that incident, which caused a pile-up. I'm really sorry for all those involved. I looked like a noob there. I continued from the back half of the pack and had worked my way up to fifth position when I made stupid mistake #2. I tried to pass David on the outside of turn one, but came steering in way too firm and bumped in him. So I dropped back with a severely damaged car and simply let it go. I finished the race and have already forgotten about what position I finished in.

Better luck next time...

P4 - wow

Quali with PB below 1:59 and P7. During the race won 2 positions and was on P5. Nice fight with David who had faster pit stop and I came down to P6. Later fight again with David in front of me and Fernando behind me, finally moved David and increase my advantage. Really do not know how I found myself on P3. Lost it on the lap before last :( by James but he was too fast for me.

It is a big success to me, really happy.

Marcin you destroyed your opponents, well done!

Fun race, though bit chipper out there to start. Yoeri, don't worry about the early bump. I had made mistake going into the corner (missed a shift) and my back end stepped out. Really not your fault there. We had a nice little battle after that where you got the better of me on fresher tires.

I had a few bumps with a few other drivers, which I apologize for, but it wasn't anything too severe, just a little bumping.

In the end, very happy to finish 8th after my early spin. I'm hoping Spa suits the Dodge better, so can't wait!

Oh, one last thing. Marcin is on a whole other level than the other drivers!!!!! Good grief.

C5R Cup

I really don't like Brno and until this afternoon my setup was no finished so I was not looking forward to the race. My times were getting better, I think a 1:59.7 was my fastest pre-race but I felt that my perfect lap might just reach the 1:58s.

For qualifying I just went for my normal setup. I didn't expect much, top 10 at least with the hope of getting a 1:58. Spent the first lap warming my tires and brakes up as it is more important to do so in these cars and that must of helped for my hotlap. Went fairly well, bit untidy in places so I wasn't happy with it until i crossed the line and saw that I got a 1:57.925. A quick hit of my tab button told me I was in 1st but I thought that at least 6 would do better but as I enetered the pits I was still first. I was amazed I am afraid I talked during the last minute of qualifying too. As I went towards my pitbox the game lagged, stuck me into my garage so I thought it was the warmup so I talked before checking. So sorry to those who I distracted, Dinca and Will I think it was.

So I was first :D I knew I would have two problems. First, the longest race I have ever done is 30mins, so it would be hard to deal with 65mins. Second, I have never done a formation lap before. I was expecting to be able to just follow someone else, so easy peasy. Instead I was first, so not easy. As I use a mouse and keyboard, I am unable to keep a consistent speed, it's either on or off. So cue me spamming away at my W key for 3 mins trying to keep a speed around 60mph. I think I averaged 60mph over the lap but it kept going +-3 mph. The formation lap out the way I started alright, didn't spin and I had Chris Moses all over my car. He got past on lap 2 round turns 3/4 so I then had a charging Jari Vinnari to deal with. Coming up to turn 10 we touched slightly, him on my back left. This slowed him down a bit and he then got spun by someone else so sorry for slowing you down there :frown:

So there I am, second place with another 60 mins to go. I was holding it fine for 7-8 laps as there was a big pack behind me fighting for 3rd, slowing each other down. As I came up the hill, my game alt-tabbed and said I had a Java Runtime error. I crapped myself and quickly hit alt-tab, hit my brakes and managed to escape damage from hitting the barrier on the penultimate turn. However, I was now in 6th which was very annoying. Towards the end of my first stint my tires were terrible so I couldn't catch Dinca in 5th so I took the pitstop. After the round of pitstops I was somehow promoted to 5th I thnik it was and I subsequently went up into 4th due to someone going off I think. For the last ~25 minutes I had Dan Coldrick is my mirrors which was tough to deal with. Everytime he got close though he put too much power on and went for a wobble so I held 4th to the end. I was catching Jari for 3rd in the end but being too eager, I made a few mistakes so I could only apply some real pressure on the last half lap and he held on for 3rd.

I guess I am happy with 4th. Could have been better if Java wasn't rubbish but I would have definately taken 4th before the race :D Now I am going to have a shower as I am tired, and sweaty as my room had been 30+ degrees all race. Great racing guys and congrats to Chriss for being promoted to the GT1 league :D

edit: Oh and it was my first ever RD pole , now to actually go win a race

This was a nice session with you guys, great fun. I knew, this would be a track were overtaking is almost impossible, unless someone makes it to the grass. So Superpole counts.
Got the 8th place with an good time and it was clear to me, that a finish in the 1st third is the highest realistic expectation. Gained a few places in the early stages through misplaced overtaking trials in front of me - some laps later Dan and Jari catched me after 2 deep dives into the 2nd to last bend. After then I drove in a secure 8th place loosing at least 1/2 a second per lap to the front. Waiting for a pit window message I came in the box after 31 minutes, and gained 2 places in this time. Afterwards it evolves a nice battle with Andrei Dinca, who was clearly faster than me. Placing my Vette in the middle of the road, and watching with a mad grin on my face how Andrei gets more and more frustrated as the time runs out.

So a 6th place in the end and grats to all finishers especially the podium.

You made a perfect formation lap, excellent job. Your result is even more impressive as you are using only mouse steering and keyboard - awesome!

Qualy:

Wasn't properly prepared in my double role as race director and racer at the same time. Had to reset the C5R room and move them and the GT1 group into Qualy. Then quickly join the session again as race :)

Did some good practice last weekend but was the whole week out for work, but still confident for a top 5 time on Brno. Made a mistake in the superpole qualy and just managed a P6.

Race:

We started good :)thumb: for the smooth formation lap, perfect!) and in T1 someone went wide so I grabbed two positions going nicely on the inside. In T3 i braked too late with no heat in the tires and did some gravel hopping and returned in P16.

Two corners later all of a sudden Yoeri decided to make a road block and he used us as his stones to build a wall, lol. Collected some serious damage and resumed in final position. Bye bye good results :thumb:.

Decided to throw all the tactics over board and have a full hotlap race. It went okay and got back some positions until Neil and me collided in T5 I think. The racing club instinct took over and I waited until Neil was back in position. Need to see the replay if I messed up there. If so: sorry , if not: no worries :)

With even more damage my pace was gone completely and had a hard time keeping up with the mighty Vipers and at the same time hold Aponte behind me. Chris passed me with two laps to go and finished in P10 again.

Not a good result but the race itself was awesome with 23 good drivers and one sick polish alien :thumb:

See you all next week in Spa :)

Jeez them Vipers were mighty on every straight had a hard time trying to find a place to pass.

great fun racing night, loved it!

had the good luck to be on the RD server with Marcin yesterday night and followed his car on the screen for two laps, which gave me at least a clue to where I could find another second or two.

Quali: surprised myself with a perfect lap, 2.2 secs than my PB before! 2:01:021 saw me in 18th, just ahead of my online employer Xose Estrada.

Race: was great fun to have Xose's STC Lister in my rearview mirror in the parade lap, in t1 he tried to nudge past on the inside which saw me in the sand and down to 24th. But you don't argue with your employer, so I got back into the race with no complaints. Had huge fun following Chris Sykes whose Viper was much slower in the turns but blasted me on the straights. Finally got past, also past Xose who popped up behind a turn literally standing in the middle of the road. I was then behind a group with Hansi, Neil and Michael (I think) but never got close enough to stalk any of them. One way or the other Bram was behind me and I gave him a little tap as he slipped past in exactly the same turn we had a coming together in STC S1, deja vu mate. Gained one spot in pits and was then 5-7 secs clear on either side which made me lose my concentration twice, which in turn brought that STC Lister back on my mirror. With my tires shot and ten minutes to go Xose tried to squeeze past in the last turn but I stuck to my line which put him off his line :) Three laps later he was there again and this time I couldn't hold him back. Another lap later Michael passed me, so I lost two positions in the last three laps :( and ended up in 20, down two form start. Finish saw my fuel down to 2l, I had calculated on doing 30+1 laps, not 32+1, lucky me.

Superb and clean gameplay is what I saw, great show guys!

Cannot wait for Spa, I'm going to be c... with these huge beasts in the Ardennes.

In fact when you go to the sand on T1 you touched me mate, in my first move we touched door to door but nobody went off the line, but 3 sec later on the exit of the corner you closed your line and crashed in my left door when I was ahead, check the replay :)

Cya!.
