Hi guys is there any were I could get some set ups for the corvette c6r ? as I am crap with tuning and the corvette has a bit of a understeer problem with my driving style.
Thanks.
Robert the best way to get a decent setup that fits your driving style is to practice with some of the guys. As the most setups are different than the one you fits.
Ask someone here at the forum if they could practice some and help you out with knowing how to setup these beasts.
- Here are some basics for a starter (my style setups)
- First lower the car as low as possible! front and back!
- Then play with the gearing so that the 6th gear has the perfect fit for the straight parts of the track. Remember to leave some room for slipstreaming during the race!
- Then adjust the differential: Lock= the more the faster the rear wheels will lock up when accelerating Coast: During switching between accel and deaccel the amount of power transferd between the 2 rear wheels.
- Braking is important just be sure that you can brake as almost full before entering a turn, and getting that rear end slightly drifting into the turn.
- Camber the more negative camber your run the higher the amount of grip will be. But it will give your tyres higher temps, and a shorter life time. But don't overdo it. or it will work negativly. Everything has have its edge.
Well these are the basics. To learn everything i could join you some time at the track. to show you how to setup.
