Jerez Pre-Season Sprint Test
1st. Alexander Macdonald
2nd. Ben Utzer +0.926
3rd. Rami Saidy +1.387
And so the first test of the season presented itself, shortly after a Jordan-led teams' test session. The session itself brought upon some interesting points. Alexander Macdonald made a claim for the title with a strong session, taking the fastest time in his Honda, showing that even with a new engine, the old Skype team still have the ability to be fastest. Ben Utzer took up where he left off, with a strong second in his Online Racing-Ferrari, while Rami Saidy re-acquainted himself in Forum Racing with a third fastest time in his Jordan-Honda. But after this, the big news was of Sasha Jednak making his debut in the new Ferrari. There was also some controversy as Omer Said was unable to complete a clean flying lap, thus no time was entered, while James Chant was unable to take to the track at all.
As the times tumbled it became clear that some teams and drivers had a bit to work on before the next test.
