JAMES CHANT WINS AGAIN Lotus drivers swap at the top
Bradley Vanian just ahead of Thomas Hackel going in to the last turn on the last lap.
The Malaysian Grand Prix was one of the best and tightest forum races ever. With four drivers finishing within a matter of seconds. But it was James Chant in the Red Bull Racing car who got his nose in front at the end and won the race. This was his second consecutive win and a confirmation that he is back from the poor results he had in the frist two races. -Who's joining me for a chicken dinner tonight?
Rookie Bradley Vanian managed to get 2nd place, Thomas Hackel finished 3rd and David Carter missed the podium in 4th. Vanian moves up to the top of the standings, replacing his Lotus teammate Aidan Keranen who finished 7th and moved down to 3rd. Hackel took a realy big jump in the standings going from 13th all the way up to 8th, while Carter stays 4th. Both Honk and Mercedes lost a position in the constructors standings due to Red Bull climbing to 2nd. Carter: -Mercedes is currently doing a rethink of my seat and cockpit. The extra weight I carry from all the pizza I eat when watching the Euro's has a big affect on certain areas.
Omer Said picked up his and Sauber's best finish of the season with a 5th place after a long battle with Hiroshi Awazu who finished 6th. The long time forum racer used his experience to eventually pass the rookie. Awazu: - I just may be able to quit my pizza delivery job if I keep this up.
Further down we saw Chris Jenkins finaly getting his McLaren to the finish in 15th, while Alexander MacDonald finished 14th and lost more points to the top of the standings.
After the race their was alot of talking about some holes in the floor of the Red Bull cars, and that they would be against the rules. But the stewards found nothing wrong during the inspections so no action have been taken against them. When the other drivers realized that Erik Tveit, who finished 9th, should have the same holes on his car they came up with some accusations towards James Chant that he was using illegal technology in his car. But they turned out to be false as well.
What's HOT! The close competition - 4 drivers looked like they still had a chance at winning with a few laps to go.
What's NOT! Domination acceptance - Even though there is no dominations, some drivers are already accusing Red Bull Racing and James Chant of cheating. Note here that Red Bull is not leading the championship.
Race number five is at the famous Suzuka Circuit in Japan, so don't go anywhere.
