Laad back on top
Former champion Jimmy Laad regained the championship lead, winning the Germany GP in style. Taking pole, then proceeding to lead every lap from start to finish. Behind him was a fierce battle for 2nd place between Taddo and Sigoulakis. While the Toyota driver crossed the line first, he was penalized for an overly aggressive move on Sigoulakis, demoting him to 3rd. The Ferraris showed improved compared to the previous race, still couldn't quite mount a challenge for a podium position though. Last round winner Lutz came home 6th, closely followed by Omer Said. The Sauber driver seemed to be challenging for a podium, but after an early pit stop his tyres gave in towards the end, dropping him from 4th to 7th. Wolf and Lintner finished 8th and 9th, the latter with a post-race penalty for an unsafe release during his stop. It didn't affect his position though. Mishra, Rossello, and Keranen were the last ones to finish.
