Seeing as we have 19 racers, the points down to 10th place seems a bit unfair now. It isn't really too good that finishing 11th and 19th give the same amount of points. I would prefer to see it go back to points down to 15th, with the previous round scores redone with the new system. Points to 10th would have worked, but as there are a lot of new signups, it would be better to return to the system (or similar) to the one I used.

Agree to that.
But: Mid-Season changes are normally a no-go i have to say. (ok, season is young, but still).

This only should be an option if above 90% (or even 100%?) or something like that do think thats a good idea to have no unfair treatment.

Last season standings with
  • Top 15 (30-26-23-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)
  • Top 10 (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1)
  • Top 6 (10-6-4-3-2-1-0.5)

Imo not that much difference position wise, else I wouldn't have chosen top 10. I'd only consider a mid-season change if everyone votes for it.

Maybe not much change at the top, but the midfield and back is massively different...

Massively? Only Ben/Andy and Tim/Milos switched positions. Dovi moved a few spots up, but overall the order wasnt really affected. (Edit: You have to read it exactly opposite. Dovi moved down, etc - But it makes no difference ;))
With the T6p system only me and Xen would have switched positions. But we had equal points before anyway.

Thinking about it again:
We should not change the system.

If we would change it now and apply it on older races, too - Some people may would have done faster races if they knew they could have gained more points, especially in R2.
-
Mid-Season change - Some people are not online everyday, are busy or something. Meaning that it could be that they are significantly slower in the late season. With different points that would be a massive disadvantage.

And changes within a running season are always critical and the difference as i said above does not seem to dramatic (if we ignore Dovi :p).
my 2 cents

Exactly. It's Tim and Milos switching positions, Ben and Andy, and Dovi up 4 spots due to his win having more worth. But that's it. It's not like everyone is in a completely different position. Else I wouldn't have gone for top 10.

Well, I've made my point, and we should just wait for the votes. How many do you want before doing the change?
90%. 18 would be 94, so let's say 17 (89.4%). Means 16 agrees to your post.

Still, imo the top 10 favours those who are online less frequently, as better results count more this way. Tim with 3-0 wins compared to Milos, Ben with 2-1 podiums compared to Andy, and Dovi with his win.

Edit: and I'd most likely spread the points different. Something like 30-24-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2

But that's it
Plus Utzer and Foro. And it isn't just for positions. What about the points? As you confirmed there with your tests, one win has a massive value, which would benefit people like Dovizioso and Aidan who can win night races easier than any of us Europeans (excl. Dovizioso, though I have no idea of his "real" nationality) can win "day" races, as was indicated with race #1.

Ben and Xen is with the top 6 only, I never even considered using that. And a win should be worth something.

And a win should be worth something.
a day race win should be worth something. I'll say it again, Aidan can win races easier, during the night he is not really challenged as much as me, Tim, Ben, Daniel, Jimlaad etc. Therefore making his job easier at getting the title, as wins are more "worth it".
Because people who are not online 24/7 like you should also have a chance achieving something.
if I was really online 24/7 wouldn't I be a 2-time FR champ by now?

Following that logic a win in a (european) day race should give more points than one in a (european) night race, just because the majority of players is from Europe? Ridiculous. He's not the only one online at that time, Omer, Ben H. and Dovi also often are online during that time, and if Takuma is from Japan he too shouldbe in a similar timezone as Aidan.

Feel free to make suggestions or complain, but be prepared to back down quickly when necessary.
Just putting this up as warning, if things get out of control I won't hesitate handing out penalties.

Not the first time we've had top 10 points, be happy that a single point is given out to those outside the top 10, as that hasn't always been something given to people.
As for me and day/night races. I may do well in 'night' races, but it is easy to not do well. Then when a day race comes along for me, the majority of the time I am not even going to be close. Fighting for 12th.

and we should favour that because..?
The system we had before is less biased towards luck and more towards actually playing skill, or being online.
Now here is a problem.
What do you actually want from Forum Racing?

What I want is an approachable series that rewards everyone for taking part, it is easy, is fair, everyone has a chance. Not just those of us that are on for upwards of 10 hours a day.
If Tobi is happy, I am happy. I see no problem in making it a little bit tighter, if anything I almost dislike it because the casual racer can fall behind rather quickly.
