First off, I am SUCH an idiot! I downloaded the track and installed it, then promptly began practising on a similarly-named-but-completely different tracked I'd downloaded previously called Road America...didn't realise my mistake til I logged onto the server to practise just before quial, and something didn't look quite right...in fact EVERYTHING looked wrong :sinister:

Managed to learn the track more-or-less in a few laps, qualified with a new PB of 2:26, and started the race with 135L of fuel and no intention of pitting. Kinda confused that I was getting smoked so totally on the straights, but then noticed the telemetry on my 2nd screen showing fluctuating brake pedal between 3-8% force when my foot was nowhere near it :pissed-off:

Can I ask what wing you guys were running? I was running 2 front/5 rear, so possibly that's higher than you guys and might explain some of the lost velocity, but maybe not all...either way, got some tinkering to do before my next ICONZ round in 3 days...

In the end, 10th wasn't so bad, although it was helped by a number of DNFs. Well done to everyone who finished and bad luck to whoever it was who ran out of gas just short of the end - I noticed that the pit menu badly under-reported fuel usage per lap, so maybe that was what bit you - definitely something to keep an eye on in future!

Chris, don't know if it helps since I was driving the Viper, but my wing settings were 2 front and 8 rear. I found that you had to setup the straight way back at the last high speed chicane, if the car wasn't balanced and pointing tight to the inside of the right hand part, before you gave if full power, the speed difference at the end of the main straight was huge.

Qualy: Went ok did a 2:25.8xy (I think), was faster before, but for a superpole not bad for me!

Race: Start was bad, sorry Jeff for the bump! Saw now in the replay why you were not moving! In lap 4 (?) we had a close group entering T1 Piotrek in front of me spun, I tried to avaoid him, but that me spinning as well, causing a little carnage, I am really sorry, but not much I could do about, I fear! In lap 9 Tyson did not make it thourh T1, impossible to avoid him for me. In lap 11 I did not make it well through the walled chicane, loosing my splitter and deciding to go for an early pit stop. So had a 48 sec pit stop, unfortunately I entered the lane to fast. Was relying on the auto pit, but obviously it did not slow me down fast enough. But I understood this only when I got another S&G while executing the first :). That put me at the end of the field. Was actually suprised that I managed catch up with somebody (Piotrek). But to the next one the gap shrinked but was by far to big to give me any chance to catch up. On my way Christian, who lapped me before, was so friendly to let me pass him, causing a few blue flags but I managed to escape. Thanks for that!!!
Finished last (Piotrek left the race), but... I finished!

I actually liked the track! But you guys at the front, astonishing lap times, did not expect that! Great race!

As for the SR3 and SR4, well as I said in my 1st post this is a race for fun... I mean to do something different and amusing!!

I know, I know, I always have fun in races, in fact I can't remember one where I didn't (ok, excluding public servers)... but to me the "fun factor" goes up as more people can fight directly with me.

Anyway, I never raced any of the SRs, I've tried them and although I don't like much the way the game models aerodynamics/suspension in these kinds of cars (FBMW & F3000 worst yet) the engine department remembers me much of my bikes ;)

On contrary, I’ve raced the C's (in Zandvoourt even) and they are fun, but on minimal distraction, those "airborne" front wheels, will get you in trouble :p
