Ah well... made a mistake early in lap 2 and got a puncture - wasn't about to drag it around this track in order to get it fixed :-D
I did! I was determind to bring this bitch home ha ha. I had no front end, suspension damage and a puncture. 1 fuel stop, 1 puncture stop and still managed a 4th place..OK last place :D but I got this rattling pile of junk home....back in the body shop to get this paint job fixed :)

Maybe 80 minutes is too long for these races?
Possibly we should run them in a shorter 2 race format and use WTCC cars for the longer races?
80 minutes too long or maybe not long enough.... for folks to realize the pace should be slower?

My Mini for this place must be pretty spot on as attempts to improve it only had me hitting armco barriers!

A nice Q lap with no errors gave me a PB in the car!

A beautiful race until after the pits top when on L6 I goofed a couple of times and again once on L7. Managed to hold it together again until L10 but with suspension damage, no front bumper and 10kph down on speed held it together!

Congrats to all the finishers!

Its a shame that those who quit out due to damage didn't stick it out, they might have been surprised by their finish. I fully understand why they did with such a long race in front of them but that's what kept me going. The hope that somebody else in front of me would need repairs and allow me to get into the mix but none of you buggers did lol

5 screenshots to summarize the race, seen from my side: with 4 drivers at the finish line.

A winner Andreas so far in front;)

Taking advantage on Dennis trying first to avoid my too near following

But not for long:

And afterwards, with Justin one in front then behind then in front then behind .... after a bit of walk along the rails for both :roflmao:

Souvenirs for my collection and easier than too much talk.
Already busy talking a bit during the race with Dennis on TS. Thanks for the company

Thanks to all for this race:thumbsup: ... and keep on going ... but till the end of race. ;)

I forgot to say:
Always a pleasure to come back here and remember my beginnings online thanks to RD.
Still not much quicker driver but surely more consistant. :p

If not too busy ( but I will surely be ) I'll come back as much as possible ... and not as less as possible.

I like the 80 minute format a lot. My mistake came on a corner I'd slowed down for more than usual - I was taking it easy but for some reason the car just spun. I think I'd set the steering lock too high.

Any other track, I'd have repaired the car. Just the thought of dragging it around for ten minutes back to the pits put me off. Maybe I gave up too quickly.

Took the mini for a spin around Cicada today for the first time. Apart from the horrible road textures, it's quite a neat track- there are some wonderful corners and I love the elevation changes.
