We encourage all of our drivers to use Teamspeak 3 (download). Talking directly to your fellow drivers increases the fun and the ability to share information quickly and easily. It will improve your driving skills dramatically as well as your relationship with your fellow drivers.

When you have signed up for an event we expect you to be there. If for any reason you can not make it you can sign out up until one hour prior to the practice session. If you do not then you will be reported as a no-show.

If the event uses a two race format then you are expected to be present for both races. If you leave during or after the first race without prior notice then you will be reported as a no-show.

You can not sign up as a 'maybe'. We will not reserve grid places for people that might be there, we give them to people that will be there.

When qualification starts and not all places are taken, reserves can then enter the server.

I couldn't be there (so I didn't sign up) but I did find time to have a few runs to see what this was all about. Really cool cars but the only one I could drive wihout crashing regularly was the BMW, and only without going sideways much. Maybe next time. (Retro cool seems cool too.) Anyone got a replay? If you do, dump it online somewhere and link it please, I'd like to see it, should be quite a show.

Fastest lap = ?

You don't need to be an expert to race in Club events. They're for all ability levels. How are you going to learn if you avoid driving in certain events? You'd learn a lot just from talking to, watching and racing against other drivers. That's what the club is for.

Yah, but if you know for sure you're going to total the car within the first 5 laps, and take someone with you it's not that much fun.

There is no way you can know for sure that you will take someone out, and even the best sim-driver has a chance of doing so. It's not a reason not to join a casual Club event. As I said, that's what they're for... learning. Accidents happen and you learn just as much from them as you do from flawless racing. As long as you show respect to fellow drivers and apologise for any damage done, they'll be fine.

Basically, driving alone or against AI offline is nothing like driving online with 20 humans. The only way to learn race-craft is to do it for real.

Jorge Alves has a skin in the STCC 2010 pack and in the mini friday pack. In both the body skin is body.dds. That means if you install the stcc pack first, then the mini pack and overwrite, and then go drive an STCC 2010 club race with him in it, the game will try to use the mini skin for his touring car, and fail. Also happens the other way around. My guess is that the default skin is then used. I suggest renaming one of them, and its corresponding ini file reference.

mini friday pack\jorge alves\body.dds ---> minibody.dds
mini friday pack\jorge alves\jorge alves.ini ---> change body.dds into minibody.dds

I could be making a mistake, please correct if so.

Bit of a mixed bag for me these races; a great track, cool cars, but a silly mistake in Race 1 Lap 1 and a race incident in Race 2 lap 1 got me in last place both times within seconds from the start.. :cry:
Managed to make my way up to 5th in both races, but only due to others' misfortune; there was no on-track close racing action for me this time :( as obviously I just wasn't quick enough to catch anyone..
I found it hard to find the Corvette's limits thus go fast in it; These cars have such insane amounts of grip (compared to what I'm used to anyway) you can get away with almost anything in these.. ALMOST that is :laugh: .
Oh well, maybe some other time..
:thumbsup: Grats to all podium finishers; Thanks RD and Yves for the event.
