This is not NFS. The only way to drive a car is through cockpit view. How would you drive a car in reality? V8 supercars' cockpit is fine IMO. You wrote that you are slower with cockpit view. So what? When I want to use shifter and other use paddle shifters, I use shifter no matter what. I don't care if I loose a second or two. It's not about that. It's about fun and immersion.

Not strictly true. I started out using a gamepad and found the 'swingman' view to be the quickest and most comfortable for me to use in Race '07, and i was disappointed by the swingman view in both the DTM and V8 Supercar mods. It just isn't quite right. Obviously since then i've bought a wheel and only use the hood, nose or cockpit cams, but if someone prefers playing the sim using a different view then it doesn't make them wrong.

two great races, deffinately my most competitive since doing sign-ups. only 7 seconds behind the winner in race 1, didnt quite have the pace of the front 4, or to get past Reggie at the end when his tyres went off, although managed to keep mine well all race long, set my PB on lap 11. And after an average start from 4th for race 2 down to 7th, (sorry for the tap on the chevy in The Boot on lap1 ) had a great race all race race long with Bob Vukovic. A mistake from Mike Bell added him in too. Two great races, thanks all!

great race also with you West tryed to catch up in the last few laps in race 2 I was close but not enoguh :) You shuld have seen the scene when Mike Bell went out of the track great moment also :)

Sorry for missing this one, I didn't even look at the times, just assumed it was normal starting time. Being in the USA, these 10:00GMT's are crazy for me, having to wake up around 4:00AM to get to them, sorry again, should have double checked the time.

Exactly, each to their own. It doesn't matter a jot what view people choose to use, in the same way that it does not matter that some people use automatic clutch and others do not, or some people use a wheel and others use a control pad, etc. Some people, including myself, want as much realism as possible. Others want maximum comfort. Neither way is right or wrong. It's about enjoying your own experience, not trying to impress your preferences on everyone else.

NFS? what the? I have fun no matter what view, I was saying that I am more comfortable with the swingman view. Nothing wrong with that, doesnt make me an "anti-realism" driver. I'll use the bumper cam, Im as quick with it. On Open Wheel cars i only use bumper, but in GT and TC cars I tend to use more the swingman view. I was just pointing the different view on the mod and maybe there was a way to make the view better. If there isnt, I'll just use something else. No need to be all upset about it. :)

Oh by the way, here is my sign up. Fabian Coulthard - Bundaberg Racing.

We encourage all of our drivers to use Teamspeak 3 (download). Talking directly to your fellow drivers increases the fun and the ability to share information in an easy way. It will improve your driving skills dramatically.

When you have signed up we expect you to be there. If for any reason you can not make it you can sign out up until 1 hour prior to the practice session, otherwise you will be reported as a no-show.

You can not sign up as a 'maybe', you are there or you are not. We will not reserve grid places for people that might be there, we give them to people that will be there.

As soon as qualification starts and not all places are taken, reserves can enter the server.
