DNF for me, pitted for repairs lap 8, then on lap 11 all cars disappeared from my map and I started getting blue flagged  . Hard to race invisible cars so had to retire.
Would love to know why this happens. Would it be my broadband connection having a moment? I'm still in the server here..

Wow, what a fantastic race today :)

Did a run right at the end of qualifying because I noticed the track was getting really dry, ended up 7th out of 15.
I enjoyed a decent start, retaining my 7th place for the first couple of laps and eventually moving up to 6th position.
I tried to keep up with Nisse, but he had a marginal better race pace during the first 40 minutes than me.
Mark Gomley was closing in pretty fast and was right on my tail on lap 18. Then suddenly, driving on the main straight, Mark's car disappeared and I couldn't see him anywhere. I was afraid he might have gone invisible to me, and a while later when he left the server I just hoped I didn't take him out of the race somehow..
But (though very unfortunate for Mark) it luckily was not the case so I had a little more breathing room again.
Then came the series of pitstops and I found myself exiting the pits in 5th position just in front of Nisse. For the final 40 minutes I did everything I could to maintain the gap of 3 seconds to him. I knew he was just as fast as me (if not faster) so I was under a bit of pressure there!

Then, during the final 5 minutes I drove as tightly and clean as I'd ever done before, because I felt this was my only chance to secure my 5th position and expand the gap to Nisse. I saw it as an opportunity to give a 'fatal' blow to his motivation of keeping up :sneaky:
Somehow it worked and the gap got larger with every remaining lap and I could already taste a stong finishing position for myself..

I love these psychological games during a race, hehe :) If you are generally quicker than the person in front of you, but you suffer a couple of bad laps whilst your rival is doing better than before the motivation to push starts to fade away.. I tried to use that 'tactic' (if you want to call it that) today and seemed to have effect, haha :)

Great race everyone, I really enjoyed it.
Hope to see you soon!

Finally, my 1st Mini Friday win after 3 attempts. :) But, oh boy, it wasnt easy.

Got pole on qualifying with Leonardo right behind. At the start, he gets to 1st. I really need to work on my starts. However, he makes a mistake on T1 and I get to first and Jonas goes up to 2nd. It remained like this until the pits. I had a bad pit stop, as I confirmed my settings a little too late and had to wait 2 secs. :( Managed to come out in 1st but now with Reggie right behind me. I dont know what happened to you Jonas, you just werent as quick after the pits.

The 2nd half of the race was insane. The car wasnt as quick now with suspension damage, so I had to be more careful. Reggie never left me alone after the pit stop. If I hadnt done a consistent drive like I did, I would have lost it. On the last 2 laps, Reggie went into Attack mode. My tires had given it all, and Reggie tried everything to pass me. Thank god this was Monaco, and its hard to pass here, or else I wouldnt have won. The last laps really had me on my limits, I was sweating so much and my arms were in pain. I was literally shaking. :D

Great racing everyone, this was a great combo, the Minis at Monaco are awesome!!

Seems that it was a great battle for the win, grats to Joao for your first win and Reggie for 2nd, and also grats to Leonardo for 3rd
I got a pretty big suspension damage before the pits but thought it would take more time to fix it, apparantly was wrong.
I had no chance to keep up after the stop with you two in the front and also Leonardo was so much faster,
still had a lot of fun defending 3rd place because if you dont make a mistake it seems you cant overtake at Monaco.
But then I made that mistake and Leonardo passed me and I finished in 4th
Was lots of fun cu guys next time

And dont worry Ross theres always a next (Mini) Friday ;)
