I have been wanting to join one of these a lot of time, and it seems I can get a free friday evening, so I'm in.

About the lap times, I'm afraid I disagree with the "security through obscurity" approach. I find debatable what will put more people off: knowing that you are 3 seconds off pace (which is almost nothing by the way), or not knowing it, finding out at the last minute, pushing too much, causing an accident, not finishing the race and maybe screwing somebody's else in the process.

I would also find much more attractive people posting their times so not only you know where you stand, but also quite possibly confirm that there will be drivers as slow as you that might give you a good race. But OK, just my two cents.

P.S. Victor, join the race, you cannot possibly be worse than I.

I really dont know what is the thing about lap times
Just enjoy the race and have fun!

Many people are so focused in making good times that they forget to enjoy the driving
They just get stress, pain in their shoulders and neck ... instead of having fun

What people should care about is to drive clean, respect other drivers, not forcing overtakings causing unnecessary incidents
Thats what you should be focus on ... so everyone can have fun!

Who cares if you win or loose ? Nobody will remember it after a week ...
but will for sure remember you if you ruin his race

I said it many times but I probably have to repeat it again: the only reason I want to know the lap times is because I play this game for two weeks! I have no idea of tracks, cars, nothing. I've only had 3 races in RD and all those 3 races were ruined because people don't know how to brake or where to brake or they were too aggressive in their overtaking. As Alberto said - it's good to know where you are before the race. Sorry for this off-topic post.

PS: Alberto since I didn't receive any information I decided to go to another race where I know what I need for the win :)

Please guys, just let it lie now. I've asked you not to post lap times and I've given you clear reasons why. You may not agree but that's life. There's nothing stopping you discussing lap times together via PM, on TS, or in chat on the server, but don't do it here.

Thanks to all for waiting for me to return..:notworthy:
I do realise this is not normally done,
A few weeks ago i had the same problem... Blue screen of death... and it returned again.. after a reboot i noticed mt hard drive (spare storage) was not showing up... so i turned of and unplugged it.. put a cap on the lead from the pc...

When it fired up all was ok..or so i thought..i clicked on internet explored 9 and it didn't work also...(was going to sign in to RD and say sorry again:cry: ) so fired up steam and loaded race07.. i really thought i had a problem when looking at the server and it said practice, not expecting to return.. so i entered to see if there was a bigger problem...
But no .. you all had waited for .... once again thanks... :)

i should of checked my wheel... it was not calibrated to good tilting to the right.. but after a lap or so i soon forgot about it.. great fun racing .. both races were such fun....

About a hour ago i got another blue screen of death.. while trying to log into RD ( Ive just uninstalled explorer 9 )
last night just before blue screen id tried to click on the internet.... So fingers crossed.... catch you all on track...
