mmm Started 10th,
Finished 9th i think, everyone disappeared with 4 minutes to go, i got a nudge on the first lap which gave me suspension damage, went and fixed that and plodded on round and round, stopped on lap 20 for new tyres, i didn't see anyone else stop for tyres so i was a little surprised, maybe i missed them, good race until everyone disappeared.:)

This gotta hurt.

Exhausting race. I should check my brake pedal because that load cell was killing me after 2,5h of driving. And driving with socks, no wonder...

Absolutely briliant qual and I was driving on slicks only. Don't know if wets would be faster, but it was fun. The race was dry, again as in Laguna. Shame, car handling in wet on this track is great and I was looking forward to experience my first wet race.

Again, did mistake in "Scheivlak" as in my retro race here. Oh my. The race was fun when I had Bob Vuckovic for a half of the race distance a couple of seconds behind me. Gap in the front was big. I lost my concentration, lost myself in thoughts at the end and spun in "Nissan", 2 laps to the end, and Bob took my place. I start loosing concentration lately at the end of every race.

I never drive FWD cars, except Mini, and it was noticable here because I have absolutely no clue how to drive with it. I managed to get through "Nissan" corner right probably just a few times. :D

My fuel calculation was terrible. I thought, OK, I have enough fuel - 30L and 29L when I pit. But I crossed the line with just 1L of fuel. That's not much for 80min race.

P2 in quali and P2 in the race, both behind Jimi who was untouchable tonight. Lost some seconds until the pitstop came, after which i was right behind Jimi, but he slowly drove away again. I hoped for some rain to shake things up, but it didn't come. Then one car to lap was flipping wildly right in front of me, could avoid hitting it, but some more seconds were gone. Lost motivation and just cruised home in 2nd. But Jimi would have won it anyway, a well deserved victory. Good fun

That was tiring. First half of the race, only managed to pull off one actual overtake, the general pace was that close, and even then it was a 'I hope this sticks' endeavour around the outside. All other places picked up by other driver's being compromised in some way.

Second half of the race relentlessly being chased by Bob with the gap hovering between 0.4 and 1.4 seconds for most of the 40 minutes. He attempted to distract me with some nice oversteery moments in my mirror, but I wasn't falling for that one. Practically pushed home in 3rd.

Had fun tonight, although shame there was no rain during the race, quali was great in the wet/dry conditions. Managed to get pole through being on a good lap at the right time in relation to the weather.

Race was good, ok start and for the first few laps was holding a lead of around 1.5 seconds, managed to pull away and have a 6 second lead at the pit stop. Left it 1 lap later than Matthias to stop and was a little cautious on the way in and to my pit stall, but somehow lost nearly all of my lead! Left the pits half a second in front and managed to slowly extend the gap once again untill Matthias had an off with a backmarker I believe.

Qualifying: Pole
Race: P1

Anyway, had a blast tonight all be it a bit lonely towards the end. Thanks for racing and thanks RD for organising.

Sign me up! Haven't even bought STCC 2 yet, but will do so tonight :D I think this expansion pack will be so much fun :)
Practiced a bit in the WTCC 2008 cars already, so I atleast got a feel for the track.
First watching the Formula One race to get the racing juices flowing in my body, then breakfast and off to the Hungaroring, haha

Also; could anyone tell me if there are any pitstops made during one 25 minute race? Or does everyone race start to finish on 1 set of tyres? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Does anyone know George Dennis? He was the guy that went off infront of me, before he did he was constantly flashing his lights just like a banned driver who was impersonating someone else in the STCC on Wednesday...

Please send me a PM next time you see someone strange, I'll have a look and ban if necessary.

Are we allowed to vote-kick people from the server who aren't signed up? Because 'Jack Kithley' (if that is his real name) wasn't on Wednesday and George Dennis isn't in this thread.

No time for a pitstop in a 25 minute race really, unless your car gets damaged enough to seriously hamper your pace early on. Your tyres will be pretty worn by the end of the race, so remember to take care!

I'd rather you didn't because things can get very messy doing that. For example, sometimes the event post isn't 100% up to date when the race starts.

If you see people that are not signed up then please report them to the event organiser after the event has finished. If you're feeling particularly helpful you can provide a screenshot of them, but it's not a necessity as we can check the server logs to see who was there. Thanks guys. :)

'Jack Kithley' was also Alfred Bono and more than likely George Dennis too...as we told Alfred Bono he couldn't join without a licence (which he'd already done in the minis the other week, so someone must have given him the new pw this week), and then a misspelling of someone with a license shows up a few minutes later. And in the race he was flashing his lights constantly, the same as George Dennis was doing last night. His steam ID has been banned now though.

Personally if someone isn't signed up i think we should tell them to leave and sign up, and if they refuse we should be allowed to boot them seeing as the mods can't be watching every race, but that's just my opinion :)
