took my place on the grid for R1 but my car was pointing across the track. Thought i would go back to the garage and rejoin not knowing that going back to the garage gave me a dnf and I couldnt start. Got disconnected halfway through and couldnt join race 2.
Bought this game a week ago and not managed to start yet.

Good fun as ever!

Qualified 4th, got a decent start and was challenging Mikhail for 2nd, made a mistake half way round the first lap and dropped to 5th. Fought back, had a great battle with Arunas and Karoly (I think), then managed to break away and took a comfortable 3rd.

Race 2 was brilliant while it lasted. Got a great start from 6th and was 2nd by the end of the first lap. Was right on Arunas' tail, briefly led after a move round the outside at the hairpin(!) until I made a mistake and dropped back to 2nd. Great nose-to-tail fight with about 5 of us, then I made a mistake and spun off out of the fast chicane. Rejoined 11th, pushed too hard and ended up in the barrier, game over!

Was great to see such a big grid. Same time next week!

Sorry guys i just popped out of the event to check and see if i had joined a public server in error. But no i was in RD Formula Fords. Im sorry but if this is the new standard of racing being given to use then I give up, sorry im out of here.

Sorry, guys; this was my first Race 07 event xD

Stefan, did I cause you to go off in Race 2? Sorry if I did...

And sorry to Lewis for Race 1.

My first race started well until I hit Lewis on Lap 2... After that numerous mistakes and 4(!) Stop and Gos put me quite far down the field.

Race 2 was better, but I was rather slow.

Sorry to everyone I inconvenienced and I will see you in the next event! :)

Thanks,
Chris

All ability levels are welcome (and encouraged) to join our Club events because they're not all about speed and winning. We have plenty of fast drivers, plenty of slow drivers, and plenty of people somewhere in between. In other words, there will likely be people around your own level to battle with regardless of how fast you are.

The only requirement for the Club is that people follow our golden rules and show respect to their fellow racers. Other than that, just get out there and have fun!
Well that's encouraging :) I'm improving my times fast and now I can do consistent mid 43s in race practice. Considering I started to play this game yesterday and I already dropped 6-7 seconds I think I'm doing fine. Do I?

It'll be good if you tell me what times people here can set just to know where I am at the moment.

About the golden rules - I know the rules. I've been racing here for a while. I know I play the arcady F1 2011 but even there we are clean and fair and we respect eachother.

Oh and can you please sign me up for this race?

Two interesting races, never really managed to hook up a good lap in quali so started from the midfield.
Got a whack on lap 2 of first race, which was a shame for both of us really. I did vent my frustration in chat which I apologise for, as its been a long time since I raced and I won't do it again.
Ended up chasing the pack back up and finishing 6th I think.

Race 2 was much better to start with and was running 6th again until I got two stop and go's which was a shame again as I seemed to be catching the leaders. One final thing though is that I was really disappointed that multiple people didn't wait after causing an accident.
It was still two decent races by my standards really pacewise so I look forward to next time. :)

I'm afraid one of the "brake test" might have been mine Stefan, although in my case I call it early braking (and I do it every corner). Sorry anyway.

For once, I was in the middle of the pack, I practiced 10th, but in qualy I could not string a fast lap together, so I ended up 14th about a second slower than my practice time.

R1 was quite nice, I got passed by a few people, although sometimes you just need to see how they dive for it to know that actually you did not lose a place (not gonna finish the race like that...). And indeed, during the first few laps I was passed by at least 4 people and every time I crossed the finish line I was still 13th. Then I stabilized in 10th behind Mike Bishop, and with two laps to go I decided to go for it. I managed to close the gap and in the last lap I made a clean pass in T1-2. He had better traction, though, and tried to take it back in T4-5, but went off-track. I just had to cruise to the finish line.. but I got distracted trying to check how far he was in the time panel and missed a braking point, span... lost 9th to mike Bishop  I pushed a bit more without much hope (half a lap to go), and I think he was a bit too conservative because I was on his rear on the last chicane, exited sliding did not get his place for just 0.3 s! Finished 10th.

R2, not so good. Started 10th. I could not find the speed and everybody was slowly pulling away from me, eventually I was far behind (but still 10th after some retirements) and only one car more than 1 minute behind me, so I was making slow laps, bad laps, fast laps, it didn't really matter. On the last lap two cars in front of me got close because the were fighting and losing time, but I had lost rhythm and when I tried to get to them made some excursion. Finished 10th.

Overall, happy to be in the middle of the time sheets. Some consistent lapping, maybe not the fastest but no crashes, neither a single corner cut warning until the last lap of R2.

This was wild and tough races. I don't know if I had wrong gearing but don't understand how some of you could be so fast on straights and slower in corners. That was also the case with Karoly Kajdy. I went out of track two times because of that in race 1 and then I got a contact with him when he was breaking. I was feeling completely out of rhythm because of that.

That incident in Rivazza in race 2 was weird. Normaly, I would say OK my fault but I'm not sure about this one. I just saw two of you spinning and wondering what was happening. Didn't feel anything through FFB either. Too bad I don't have that blasted replays. And I'm not sure if that collision model on FFord isn't a bit buggy.

The one bad thing about FFord is that sometimes you can't save the situation when you see a problem in front of you because of that (no)grip.

Edit: I was driving with my beta skin this time. Don't know which skin computer used, but I definitely liked my view from cockpit. I've seen too much orange/black cars in the last couple of races, including myself. :)
