WOOO, what a hard race, mainly for the fact I didn't look at the format thinking it was 2x 30min races then noticed when I was working my fuel out it was 60mins lol.

Q'd 16'th with a PB and a fight with Lee Palmer n co, think I finished about 11th lol not sure now but either way there was some excellent driving very clean and very fun.

Till next guys.

Thanks Hugo and RD :D

Brilliant race. Qualied well in 12th but made an early on mistake cost me some positions. Had a brill scrap with some guys who sadly I don't know who they were (rFactor guy trying to get used to Race :p). Whoever it was fun.

Thanks to Hugo, Bjorn, to all who raced and RD of course.

Nice event, like the class and the track wasn’t bad either (although from my pov better ones are yet to come in the series).
Decided to take the Lister since I hope to make an OZ super V8 event in the near future and I needed the right wheel sim-driving experience. It might sound weird, but in all my years’ virtual racing, as I use “real driving position”, I do avoid English/Oz cars for that same reason … “Wheel on the wrong side”. Not anymore I hope

Practice
and qualification
All went more or less well, had a “GFX driver freeze” (my first in more than a year) and my qualification lap didn’t come out well (07 high and 7th or 8th on the grid).

Race (6th)
Made a place right at start climbing to 6th; position I would take until the very end which might sound “dull” but the things were actually much the opposite.

These sprint events are full "flat-out" (no engine blow-up worries) and I spent all race between two C6R, L. Tuma to the front, J. de Boer to the rear. Both their cars looked quicker on the fast parts and I had to make-up time when entering the slower turns.

At different times of the race one of us was quicker than the rest which made the things very interesting most of the time.

Much thanks to both of them, my direct race adversaries, thanks everyone who took part, had no problems whatsoever. Congratulations to the podium, Peter well into the distance (1/2 lap in front), Hugo the C6R among the DB9R front armada.

Thanks staff & RD for organizing, cheers everyone,
:)

Ran 10th for most of the race and feeling chuffed with myself, considering the full grid and was upto 6th when a few front runners pitted. However at my pitstop on lap 17 i had 'aero fixed' in the pre-set pit choice and it took ages to fix some minor front damage...grrr, and i exited the pits down in blinking 17th place. All that hard work thrown away.
Took 19 secs out the guys ahead in final third of race but had an incident with 1 lap remaining and taken off at T1 when i caught them, but need to watch the replay to be sure before any report. But i finished 16th in the end despite that. (the timing board showed me 24th for some reason at race end??? but definetely crossed the line in 16th)
These GT1 cars are cracking, sound and look superb and the racing was fast and furious with mostly decent driving from where i was. Looking forward to the rest of the series. :)

ps..where do i find the replay file?

We have a fresh, new way of reporting and punishing incidents in the Racing Club, using an infractions system - read more here

You are actively encouraged to use this system - we like to keep driving standards high - so if you feel you were wronged in any way during an event simply send the event organizer a private message detailing the incident including a youtube video. Do not post reports/accusations in the thread itself - negativity and anger gets us nowhere.
