My first Race-Department race here. I had a league-free week, so i thought let's do a race by Race Department.

I was on the server from 18:30 Dutch time...crap way to early because the event started just at 20:30. Timezones are nasty things

I drove different cars and wanted a car that's not a Alfa 156 2007, because in the leagues i drive that one. And because i was so early i tested the 407, 156 GTA and S60. At the end i decided to race with the S60 because that has almost the same topspeed as the alfa.

Quali: Doing my laps, and i drove a 1:58.7xx without any slipstreaming. With al the good sectors in one lap it could be a 1:58.5xx, but that didn't happen. But i was driving a S60....a blocky Volvo...and i had the pole!!! In my first race here

Race1: I suck on standing starts :S need to learn that. It cost me a lot of positions, but i can follow the pace of the drivers in front of me. And the S60 was suprisingly quick in the race (comparing to my last weeks league race with a Alfa 156 2007 and 55kg penalty weight). Even on the straights it was no problem for the S60 to attack the Honda's and other cars.

I gave James Follow in his Alfa a little contact in the Variante Ascari, which cause that he go straight in the tyre barriers... sorry James. For the rest of the race, the overtaking and fighting here are very good!!! Very nice driving and less contacts while overtaking! And i also like the mandatory pitstop! It gives a extra dimension on the race for me. Finally the S60 brought me on the 3rd place!

Race2: Another crappy start, first corner i was out the top 10 i think. But due to mistakes of other drivers it was possible to gain positions really quick. For the stop i was in 2nd position behind the Seat of Karl. Just like the first race i changed all my tyres, this costed me 6 a 7 seconds compared to the ones who only changed 2 tyres, but i had a much quicker racepace compared to them after the stops. After the stops i was behind the Honda of Tuma and i could follow him really well, but it was a hard cookie to crack. I couldn't get past him, very nice fight and another 3rd place was there for the blocky S60!

I had lots of fun on the track! Great driving here!
