I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

MyTrack

This week with Benji's choice.

1. So you chose long beach what made you chose this legendary track?

Long Beach is a spectacular track, especially since it's being raced in the night. It requires a driver to be inch perfect and fully committed, a single mistake will punish you dearly. The track personally suits my driving style very well as throwing a car into the car with an early apex with the weight of the car firmly on the front, then just hope the mechanical grip of the car can keep you away from the walls. When you nail a lap around this track, it's hard to find a better feeling in the world.

2. Long beach was used as a night race in s6 would you like that again?

Yes, any track that is well lit up looks amazing. The Ferris wheels and skyscapper building look surreal. If there's one thing Project Cars done well, it's the scenery. Therefore if you're having a bad race, you can look at around you.

3. Moving to you now obviously you are thought of as a potential champion this season so how was Watkins Glen and does missing COTA mean you are out of contention?

Watkins Glen was a hard race, during S7 I could usually push 60% on the limit and be on the pace for a potential podium, however Watkins I was pushing as hard as I could to keep Paul behind. From being 8th after lap 1, to get back to 4th was a success. Missing COTA didn't help my championship changes, but I don't see myself in the fight to begin with. My aim is to win the teams and help Adam get the drivers.

4. Your famous for running the Audi #28 what is it about that livery?

Everyone has a livery that suits them, Ben with his 55 Aston and Spam Fritters in the Jerry M3s. The 28 Audi is mine. With the bright green wings and funky designs across the car, it feels like a car designed for the youth, and since I'm the youngster here, it's perfect. Not to mention 28 is a great number. The best bit is that Will Stevens found himself on the side.

5. You won at long beach last time we visited what chance a repeat?

I wouldn't have picked it if I didn't believe I could.

Questions

Nathan has emerged as a title contender to a few peoples surprise, can he maintain it and is there anyone else who may start springing up surprises?

Who in you opinion has the best livery on the grid?

There were alot of incidents at COTA, do you feel this may improve in the coming rounds with some drivers being penalised?

This season has started with 3 us tracks in a row, would you like to see TNGTC do like what F1 Does, and have the season near enough split into continents?

Anyone who can consistency stay out of trouble and get regular podiums will be a threat. The grid is too close to call a stand out favourite.

Hi :roflmao:

COTA is a weird track where clean racing is difficult due to the multitude of different lines possible. If people can stay out of the walls here, I expect much cleaner races.

It adds an additional sense of realism, so for someone like myself who takes this league very seriously (probably too serious) it's a welcome feature.

Nathan has been looking very consistent this season, so I think he will be able to maintain it. Since the season has only just begun, anything can happen. I think the top 6 is still in contention of the title.

I think Seeks' and mine is the best. You can spot our cars from miles away and they go very well with the sexy lines of the R8.

I expect Long Beach to be another carnage, with it being a tight street circuit. We have quite a few drivers who drive very aggressively, so that is almost a guarantee for spectacular crashes. I won't be able to race this Thursday, which is a shame. Maybe I could have scored a few points due to several DNF's ;)

For a sim racing league it isn't necessary, since we don't have to travel around the globe to get to the next track. It would be a difference if we would be driving at the local times, but I'm definitely not a fan of that!

Good luck everyone! Wooden Spoon Racing won't be there this week, but we will be back next week.
Like Jerry Springer always says: take care of yourself AND each other! :roflmao:

Questions

Q : Nathan has emerged as a title contender to a few peoples surprise, can he maintain it and is there anyone else who may start springing up surprises?

A : Yes and Ben is right there with him. #TeamSandbag

Q : Who in your opinion has the best livery on the grid?

A: Me

Q : There were a lot of incidents at COTA, do you feel this may improve in the coming rounds with some drivers being penalised?

A : Probably not tbh, the main issue i find is that there not enough on track respect between drivers from time to time by that i mean while in combat in races and what should be great on track battles turns into complete chaos,

Q : This season has started with 3 us tracks in a row, would you like to see TNGTC do like what F1 Does, and have the season near enough split into continents?

A: Don't think about that tbh either way is fine by me.
