I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

It has come to me that the current in-game date and weather system doesn't work as we would have hoped. Several people did some testing and we all came to the conclusion that, since it's winter, using the current date and weather system only complicates racing.

So I have created a poll to see how everyone thinks we should continue this season. I want to keep this as democratic as possible.

Here are the options in the poll further explained:
1. Use Current Date + current weather
We keep using the current system, meaning we will be doing a lot of winter races, which are practically undoable in a GT3 car.

2. Use Default Date + set weather system (Dry-Dry-Random*)
We use the Default Date and a set weather system, for instance Dry - Dry - Random or Dry - Dry - Wet. This will probably set the optimal time of the year for the track, but we will be probably mostly be racing in August (in-game).

3. Use Custom Date (4 months ahead) + set weather system (Dry-Dry-Random*)
We use the Custom Date setting and wind the clock 4 months forward, starting the next race on May 3rd, 2018. We will also use a set weather system like mentioned above.

4. Other (please specify in the comments)
If there are any other options that I didn't think of, you are welcome to mention it in this thread.

If we democratically choose for a set weather system, it seems only fair to me that we discuss how we will set the pattern and if we will use the Random weather setting or not.

Let's make TNGTC great again! ;)

Why don' we do what was said and use current weather at the track. We have a live weather feature use it!!! Change temp to suit hard tyres as the tyres are broke until fixed then live everything. It' up to people to keep upto date with weather and practice. We announced 1 weather website we all use.

Yes because snow acts as rain on the game so it would basically be rain. Y is it from week to week things change? How can we just not run with what we have? 1 week cats are op then their allowed. Next weather changes then doesn't. Then track layouts change?? I mean that' just the last 2 races no1 gets what' going on or cba nomore really as no1 knows what's happening next? We need consistency

Blame the game

I agree we need consistency. We all knew this was going to be a messy season because of a new game. Like Ben said, things have changed due to bugs or changes to the game.

Seen what happened with people testing in current date and weather conditions made a lot of people unhappy. Racing in snowy conditions with track temperatures that low isn't funny in a GT3 car.

Once again, we are trying to figure out what is the best way to keep this league going. Look at this season as a test season for Project Cars 2.
This is why I wanted to do a poll, to see how everyone thinks about the date and weather system we are currently using.

Also, I like what Seeks said. The problem with that is that there would be a chance of snow (or any other current weather conditions) while the in-game date is somewhere in May or June...
