That's what i always wonder about Nordschliefe: isn't it dangerous for anyone to enter there and drive like crazy? These kind of accidents must be common there, or less severe ones...

Yup, I think they average about 12 smaller wrecks a day. I don't know the exact number, it's around there. It's just a dangerous track in general.

For that reason there is a tempo limit on the Nordschleife. But since these are acutally public roads on track days, all the drivers passing the scene of the incident should get taken their licenses away! Just driving along their! They all made themselves responsible if anything happend to the one in the transporter! Because of things like that, the Nordschleife is discussed to be closed once and for all every once in a while.

The Nürburgring is owner of the road, but since they open the gates for these days the laws of the German road apply. It is like driving too fast on a Motorway. This guy defenately did not drive according to the laws and rules, therefore it is his resposibility. It is not a racetrack when the tourist drives are possible, it is just a privately owned toll road.

I like to watch a good race period. Hell I even admit in the winter getting cabin fever and ESPN would have the guys racing lawnmowers Nascar is ok for a few of the races but since Dale is gone I hardly ever watch from start to finish unless it's like Bristol or the Speedways.

Indy car is looking much better this year. The first 2 or 3 races had more passing than all of last year and they finally got Randy out of there to bad what had to happen for it to take place Dan will be sorely missed,.

Racing is racing as long as it's close I don't care. I'll be the old man in the nursing home hot lapping in my wheel chair but hey at least I got the memory's the one's only racing will give ya.

Crazy Crazy is all I gotta say what a way to spend the weekend you know each road has at least ONE corner that if you get there early you get a good seat for the days full of train wrecks.
