this is fantastic!
Im just wondering if the physics on the cars are altered or are the cars copies from the 2010 season in the game and only the skins and driver names are added?
/regards Martin

No need to delete it. As the uploader there should be an edit button. Clicking that lets you upload a new version of the mod to replace the old one.

Do you have all the cars in a CustomSkins-variant(I downloaded the Honda separately but the skin was not complete - lots of details on the car that was missing compared to the Honda in the mod-pack)?
When im trying to use the dds-files(from the mod-pack) for all cars in customSkins the game wont recognize them. I cant even open the dds-files(from the mod) into photoshop. Are they in another format that the game cant handle(if put in the CustomSkins directory)

this is to be dropped into the same location as the the STCC 2010 official addon as it is a mod not a skin pack

also they are encrypted as is RaceOn/GTREVO/Race07/STCC2010 etc...

Hi,
Yes, the files are encrypted. What do you mean? Missing things? I think the Honda is complet. If you need only the Honda, drop me a PM, and i'll send you the file separetly.

Hi, and thanx for your quick response.
Ah, so thats the reason, they are encrypted.. I was guessing something similar.

background:
The thing is we are some friends(~20 drivers) that have been having this series for a cuople of years now where we are trying to do things as close to reality as possible, including using all the real life teams och car liveries. The only thing we alter is that we are putting our own names/numbers on the car windows etc.
So up 'til now we have been fixing all the skins for all teams but this time(we start the season in the autumn) I happen to see your mod pack and really liked it since it seems to be very professionally done. So my thought was to use the dds files from the mod and use them in CustomSkin variants but that wasnt successful as you can see.

So my humble question would be if you would be ok with sharing the teams in "CustomSkins"-format so that we can use them and easily alter the numberplates and names ourselves. It wuold be much appriciated.
The league we are running is strictly private.

Grass roll sound fix

This is a simple fix for Race 07.

It replaces the new grass roll sound which was introduced with Formula Raceroom addon and interferes with other cars (mostly from new addons) which use the same sound file.

You can compare both sound files if you don't know the difference.

Installation
============

Copy grass_roll.wav sound file from "original sound" folder to

\Race 07\GameData\Sounds\car\shared\

Note
====

Both files are original SimBin's files.
Works and tested with Steam version.

Pagani Zonda R sound mod

Pagani Zonda R, Zonda R GT (Power pack) sound mod
=================================================

Because I'm with the people who don't like Zonda's engine note, I tried to make some fix for that. If you'd asked me, the 6+ litres V12 engines are the best sounding engines ever in my opinion (except Ferrari Enzo maybe which I don't like). But the SimBin's sound is too artificial and too much sewing machine type. However, the sound files itself don't sound so bad, but thanks to tampering with pitch it sounds bad. I hope it will be better in GTR3.

When I look into GT Pro class, there are just two cars with V12 engine - Aston Martin and Lister Storm. But Lister Storm uses the same Aston Martin's engine sound files. Yet it sounds a bit differently because of different transmission sounds etc.

So I was fiddling with it and now I can enjoy that car. I like it, but it still isn't real life Zonda's sound and never will be because Aston's sound isn't ideal too.

Recorded samples included in zip file so you can hear the differences.

Instalation
===========

Copy "gamedata" folder into your Race 07 folder.

Note
====

You must have GTR Evolution installed because it uses Aston Martin's engine sounds.

I'm not sure if these modified files would be a problem for online racing, but I suppose that it shouldn't be a problem because these files define just sounds. It would be good to try it.

Any feedback welcome. Enjoy it.
