Thanks Gunthar - for last nights event I just switched to virtual mirrors so it was no problem - another thing that might (or might not be wrong) is that the windscreen appears to have stripes across it like a heated rear screen would have? This was there before and was not affected by the removal of the bar, again is it supposed to be there? I was in the Holden BOC (white) car.

Also thanks for all the fantastic work you put in on mods.

Tried this track in practise and managed to write off 3 cars..never even completed a lap..oops :D

Great track though..very unforgiving, especially those annoying ditches on the side. If you lose control and end up in those ditches, then your stuck forever unless someone else gives you a helping hand.

I drove the car with the STCC 2000 talent files and put Johansson and Kristofferson (mediocre drivers) into this 4WD Audi and left Ekblom (good driver) in the 2WD Audi. In 5 dry races with full field, the 4WD's took pole 4 times and locked the front row 3 times. Most of the time with about half a second, although the drivers have worse talent files than Ekström, Rustad, Edman.

I then decided to drive the car in the dry, and while it's not too fast on the straight, it's quick when you accelerate out of slow corners. This is exactly the way the real 4WD Audis have performed. But it's a little bit too quick. Unless the other ST cars you can change steering lock to 18 or 19 degrees. When you are in a hairpin, you can basically turn in as much as possible and just accelerate, and it's faster out of the corner than any other car.
Next was a wet race. Remember, these cars were rain monsters back in the 90's. But this car is quite too much of a rain monster. I drove a 6 lap race in Barcelona 07, first time I've driven the car in the wet. I put AI on 100 % and started last. After the first lap I was leading and after 6 laps I won with over 40s advantage. And I made many mistakes, missed braking points and even was in the gravel for once. Second placed was the other 4WD Audi, putting another 20s between him and Ekströms Volvo.

It's really nice to drive, but you need to slow it down, otherwise the AI Audis will always win and it's the only choice for online races (btw, I would also recommend to make the BMW a little bit faster.).

Well done Biffenh, the cars look really nice:)
The other cars in stcc will have better steering capacities due to regulation changes after 1998.
But it looks like the Audis kept their covering fenders, so maybe it can keep the turning lock from '98?

Heh, that was the intention; keep on the track or else.. There is a tactic to use if you get sucked in the rough, try coming to the track diagonally not straight. But if the car is hanging with all wheels off the ground, then it's just tough luck.. The original ditches were much deeper but had to scale down realism a bit for the sake of fun.

I watch every race weekend, Audi A4 Quattro ST (Ex-Colciago's Audi from 1998STW), and I looked up to almost two Audi (Ex-Mattias Ekström's Audi A4 and Ex-Tobias Johansson's Audi A4) All these cars were at the races or more drive in the Touring Car Champonship in my country in the hillclimb races and on Circut races, the car was overwhelming.

(p.s. Every car in the Championship is a former car of manufacturing teams)

Le Mans 2004

Version 1.02

This is a conversion based on frank.55 version for GTR2.
The original author is Sylvain Glapa who built this track for NR2003.

We are very sad to say that frank.55 died last year, so we couldn't ask him for a permission to do this.
Also we tried everything to make contact to Silvain Glapa, but there seems to be no way to contact him.
We just found email-adresses which don't work anymore.
We also asked several peoples if they know him, but there seems to be no way.
So: Thank you very much Sylvain for building this great track. We hope you don't dislike this conversion,
but as mentioned before: we tried everything to contact you.

We whish all the best to frank.55's family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Thx to FrankyBB @ Pilsbierbude for the Loadingscreen.

The GTR2-Readme is inside.

KNOW ISSUES:

- No Raintextures (maybe we add them later, but the track already has a high poly-count)

VERSION-HISTORY:

2010-06-12, V1.0: initial release (today are also the real 24h of Le Mans)

2010-06-16, v1.01: fixed 2nd Timingsector, so you will not loose a lap anymore.

2011-06-11, v1.02: fixed 2nd Sector again (finaly)

The Night-Version contains just a few other set parameters in the GDB to get it slightly darker. If you don't want the night-version to show up in-game just delete all the N2004Lemans.* files.
The Loading-Screen contains "Le Mans 24H", should be "Le Mans 2004".

Donington 2011

Version: 1.1

Sometime back the donington layouts were changed at the esses and the way national joins the main straight.. so this is 2011 donington GP and National layout for GTR2 and Race series based on the original gtr donington...new sections added to represent both 2011 versions of donington park, removed some obsolete scenery, e.g. like the dunlop bridge, widened that area, added and /or replaced walls and fences.. 2006 pit buildings .. old curbing at road edge changed to white line now .. rain reflections and animated marshals,

Note ! the GP track appears as "11donington" in "Add_On" and the National track appears under the "BTCC" heading in the track selection page. This track also has more of the "BTCC" style sponsor boards added. has BTCC sponsor boards on national only. thanks to the feedback on vers 1.0. fixed some materials and the time trial position on the national layout. hence version 1.1.. have fun.

Cheers Ken
