A little vid of a lap in the Beemer at Donny.

My first real try-out of this mod and i was very impressed by it. The in-car sounds weren't quite right, so i replaced them with standard RACE BMW sounds. Tweaked the default setup slightly too, which i will be happy to pass on if anyone requires it. I'm intrigued to see which car(s) Andreas comes up with next! Good work!

Alpine Hills v1.0

Alpine Hills v1.00 by CreamK

Fantasy road course.

13.9km
250m of elevation
55 corneers, 27 left, 28 right
Up to 25 players Online

Inspired by the Great Alpine Road in Australia, the track it self located somewhere in Europe (Germany, Italy or France, you can choose). Track layout reminds of the great haydays of the 60's; Spa, Le mans, Machwerk...
Normal everyday rural roads, no safety features; you wreck, you die.. Ditches that can suck you in or give you great slingshots around tight corners. Blind turns, fast flowing straights and hard brakes. Excactly the kind of road you would want to drive fast without speed limits...

Enjoy! Any kind of feedback is truly appreciated:

Known bugs and issues, v1.00:
- No AI yet! Sorry about that, i had a almost catastrophic failure at the worst possible moment so the almost perfected AI line got lost. So the AI cars drive smack middle in the track. This track is for Online multiplayer OR practice/time attack in singleplayer.. If you like to drive against AI, you just have to wait until v1.1 is released. Also some AI cars pull to the pits after leaving garage, i found it funny so i left it there.
- shadows in two places act little funny in Race2. Nothing i can do about this without a major rework on those parts...
- Power poles are transparent in some sence.. they show the barbwire fences thru but that issue is not critical.. The game engine just acts funny sometimes.

Real nice, and very beautifully done, hope you do a v1.1 as I don't race online, and miss the AI, but it is great with Time Attack :)....If you can fix in v1.1 the hazy misty-blue (rather looks like to much brightness/gamma) to the track, that would be great also ;) Thanks for sharing your work :)

to run this engine.
Let me know if you like the engine!

Copy all the unpacked files to GameData\Teams\STCC_2010\Volvo C30\
And it should be running fine.

AIW file is very easy to do with rFactor. Convert this track to rFactor and see following video and you're ready to start working. All this takes about 2-3 hours...Note that rFactor don't have pacecar so remove it from current AIW file. Also you don't need to do fully working conversion so working pit in/out or starting lights not necessary etc. Just convert objects to rFactor format, edit track files to work in rFactor...

If you can't do this so I can check it this summer but can't promise any exact schedules. At first I must learn to drive the track etc.

Ps. AI should create with F1 car so AI cars will be fast enough while racing against AI...

Cheers!
