not really to Saturn is Opel :)
because Saturn brand exist already for more 10 years if not mistaken with it's own models (a friend of mine used to drive one of those models around back then....pretty nice car/engine).....but i guess GM did it more to let Opel brand infiltrate the US market via the Saturn brand by giving other names for the car models :)

oops actually more then 20 years lol

Lightning GT

British supercar promises electrifying performance.

car_photo_250005_25.jpg

Lightning strikes! Here’s the first picture of how the new British-built electric supercar, the Lightning GT, will shape up. And there’s nothing shocking about the two-door’s swoopy silhouette. It’s based on an existing petrol machine, although the design has been updated to reflect the modern credentials.

Bonnet and side vents hint at impressive performance – its combination of batteries and motors will deliver the equivalent of 700bhp. The wide-mouthed grille, integrated foglights and swept-back headlights are also entirely new.
When the first models arrive late this year, the Lightning GT will take on the Lotus-built Tesla roadster. It’s likely to cost more than £100,000, and deposits of £15,000 are being taken now.

Concept Kizashi 3

the latest one, the Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept. And we find Suzuki’s approach with the Kizashi concepts very interesting. Instead of presenting one very futuristic concept and then going straight to a lot less impressive production version, Suzuki chose to unveil these concepts, developed by Suzuki’s Advanced Design Group, one at a time, each one being closer to the final, production-ready version.

After presenting the Kizashi 1 at Frankfurt and the Kizashi 2 at Tokyo, now the Kizashi 3 was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, which is taking place these days in NY. Not as impressive as the first one, the Kizashi 3 is a sport sedan concept and it previews Suzuki’s upcoming competitor in this market. Like the other two concepts, this one’s front part is very aggressive, emphasized by the impressive headlights.

Built on a four-wheel drive platform with Advanced i-AWD system, the Kizashi 3 is powered by a 3.6-liter DOHC V6 engine which develops an estimated 300 hp and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission (with paddle shifters on the steering wheel).

So, overall, not a bad addition to the Kizashi series and we’re waiting now for the fourth.

It`s uglyness makes it a beauty

After we’ve seen the Porsche Traveller design study and now the Scion Hako Concept, we’re beginning to ask ourselves if the designers aren’t in some kind of designers strike (after the writer’s guild model). Because these concepts have some faces only their mothers would love.

scion_hako_1.jpg

The Scion Hako was inspired by the Scion xB and it’s a bizzare mixture of cubic and curvy. Plus, it seems that the designers never heard the “aerodynamics” term, because the concept is probably as aerodynamic as a brick. Not to mention this hilarious part from the press release: “the silhouette is accentuated by slim, race-car-inspired side mirrors”. Yeah, right!

scion_hako_3.jpg

There are no drivetrain specs, because, fortunately, the Scion Hako Concept is only a design study and we don’t want to be mean, but we hope we’ll never see it on the street.

If it were black, with white sidewalls and a Tommy Gun on the rear parcel shelf, it'd be spot on.
It looks like 1940's retro, and I agree with Wido, it has something....

The technology found in the Murcielago LP640 has not been modified. The engine in the LP640 forwards is the classic twelve-cylinder engine with 6.5 liter displacement. At 8000 revolutions per minute, the power reaches an astounding 640 hp (471 kW). The huge torque, equal to maximum 660 Nm, ensures a powerful switch from any number of revolutions: even the slightest pressure on the accelerator is spontaneously transformed into thrust. The robotized e-gear changes gear faster than even the most expert driver. In addition, the permanent Viscous Traction four-wheel drive system ensures that every force is constantly translated into movement.

As in the original Murcielago LP640, the Reventon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a maximum speed of over 340 km/h.
