Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
The Silver City Circuit of tomorrow's Radical race has received a lot of positive feedback and Carsten asked to run this circuit in the multi-class as well.

So Silver City next week then? If you want that, you can give a

Wow, adrenaline still flowing

Apart from the occasional paint scraping with walls and cars, this was quite fun!

Bummer lots of guys had to jump off the wagon for ping and crashes, etc.

Had some okay pace during the race, met lots of people, Jason, Robert, Colin, Steve, Wayne, Nathan, nice racing guys!

Congrats to Andre, Ernie and Robert with the podium! Thanks Han!

What a ride... Almost a wall ride, since I just managed to stay away from the armco for 99% of the race as I only had 1 incident, right before my pitstop. Qualy was meh since I couldn't find the rhythm I had on the weekend, but it wasn't that bad. I had a good launch, staying behind Ernie, and we managed to dodge the first two incidents by a hair... then we took off and it was about keeping the pace and avoiding the walls, which I managed to succed at! I was quite flumoxxed when 'my Jim' told me I was P4 at the end... P3 in class. A proper place for the Aston Martin #14 haha! :D I certainly benefited from everyone who left the server... I was surprised so many did, a pity guys... :( I saw some people warp about a few times so there were connection issues, perhaps a server reboot can fix that? Still, a fun race but also a very tiresome exercise in concentration... :cautious: I'm just glad I finished, the high position was a great bonus...

Thank you for organising Han and to the winners and (other) podium finishers, big congrats! I'll see you chaps on the next one... time to close my eyes and rest the mind. Ciao!

Weird race, I doubt if I had more than two whole “wall” free laps in practice, and they still had wall strikes that did not affect those rare laps. Come race decided not to try, paid dividends for me, I doubt if I hit any wall, strange, loads of luck with accidents that I just missed with Raul.
Allan disappeared, found out why, then Fulvio disappeared, not sure why.
I would not say it was enjoyable, more of a grind. But “he ho” luck was with me tonight.
Turned out well in the end Han, great event, I don’t blame those who decided to miss this one.
I did not have any issue with the server or internet, but I have a pretty good ping and connection. So perhaps that was a good buffer to any problems.

As I've started to practice more my body is starting to fall to bits. Most serious is that I'm getting quite painful hand/finger joints and Wellington really seems to make things worse. The T1 hairpin was a real killer.

I couldn't get near the quick times but somehow managed to end up P3 after the first corner mishaps. However, I got spun round a few laps latter and the pain in my hands made me lose the will to live. Sorry for bailing out but I was virtually last and needed to save myself for Sunday's 1.5h RDEC marathon !

Having a desk based rig doesn't help ergonomically as it has limited adjustment. I have a nice sim racing chair (not on casters), a Fanatec McLaren GT3 V2 wheel with CSL DD wheel base. I haven't cranked up the FFB to 11 as that also gave me pain elsewhere!

So, everything a seems in basically in the right place and setup correctly. I guess I just need to monitor how much practice I do.

Anyone else suffering sim induced injuries? Apart from rest, any suggestions on making my body last a bit longer :)
