Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Ok. So if Rasmus is right, the white line is regarded as part of the circuit. Good to know! I couldn't find that on internet.
There are some sites that refer of keeping the tyres on the black stuff but I could find an official rule on that.
My knowledge comes from a few different parts:
1. Most of the times, the white line is printed onto the tarmac, not the kerb/grass/gravel, so it basically IS still the "black stuff", just coloured white :p

2. While watching F1, there were some discussions, mostly with drivers crossing the pit exit line. The analytics always talked about the tyre having to cross AND leave the white line. The latest discussion was Verstappen at Monaco I think. There, Palmer's F1TV analysis is about "On the line, but not crossing the line". And Verstappen didn't get a penalty so as long as you touch the line, it's okay.

3. Also from F1: some close up shots at Red Bull Ring showed the cars going beyond the lines when they got the lap invalidated.

So I'm pretty sure that as long as you touch the line, it's fine! Also the cut detections in our simracing titles work like that. Mostly because they don't see the line but only the surface type. So they work like my first point :D

Thanks Rasmus. It confirms what I just found in the RaceDepartment rules:
6.1 The track and cutting
Racing happens on the track, not off the track. To create a clear picture of what the track is and where to drive a definition is provided here. The track is a strip, usually of tarmac or concrete, edged by clearly defined lines (usually white, sometimes yellow). Everything outside these lines is not part of the track. So curbstones, grass areas, gravel traps, walls and tarmac or concrete outside the lines are not part of the track. Sometimes there are no lines. In that case the track is edged by curbstones, grass areas, gravel traps or walls; whatever is the nearest.

Look at it from a different perspective:
I wanted to take part this week but it was full when I looked into signing up.
If Zandvoort gets full, you basically gifted someone a seat :)
Well it's the 36 pits version so when that is full I might consider coming back and remove one of the participants to take his place!
It would be worth the divorce!

It was my first race with Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer after I changed my old G29. And I had to control my desk mount, because it had the tendency to weaken the power of the hold the wheel. I have to find the way to mount it better to my obutto ozone cockpit.

I also have the TS-PC, did you enjoy the difference? Mine is bolted with screws to my FGT cockpit, best way to keep it from moving around. What pedals are you using?

Hi Raul,

of course there is a difference, but I have to get use to wider wheel and different forces. Few races and I will have other feeling. Unfortunately I cannot mount this wheel with screws to my obutto ozone cockpit, because it is also use as a comfortable place to work. I was thinking to buy maybe anti-slippery mat or something to make it more stable. Under the place to mount a wheel there are two pipes in V-shape. So wheel is mounting to them and the surfce is not enough big to make it stable.

I use T-LCM pedals with 3drap mod. I am really happy with them :)

If you want, I'd recommend creating a little thread in the simracing hardware forum with pictures of your desk and with the ts-pc mounted to it.
We always think that we know all possible solutions but someone else always finds a different perspective on it :D

My idea would be to 3D print or cut from wood a little box that makes the desk thicker and flush with maybe a little roughed up bottom surface to make the wheel stay in position?

Ofc you can also just post pictures here for our little group. Should give a few idea or help too :)

@RasmusP

I´ve played around with the settings and I´m not really happy with them
( workaround so they don´t distract me too much was to set the shadows to 50% opaciticity)

Thanks for your advice, if it bothers me too much I´ll call on you again ( if I may ;))

If it was me I´d find a way to hard mount the wheel base with a quick release of some kind.

You can´t use all the advantages (FFB) of the TS-PC if its moving around even slightly.

My T300 had threads on the underside to be bolted to the cockpit.

So maybe glue bolts in there and fix the wheel base with wingnuts to the base plate. You could use wing bolts but the threads in the TM wheels are just pressed into thin tin strips which won´t take daily unscrewing without damage. So get a piece of threaded rod and glue bolts into the threads, put them into the holes in the wheel deck and fix with wingnuts.

I've just watched the replay. Wow what a great battle with Hank in the last few laps! You can clearly see my struggling with the worn tyres.
And then the finish:

My apologies to Allan for pushing him off track in lap 1 coming out of Pouhon.
And also to Ernie that I accused him of an unsave return on track where he stayed (just) within the lines. Great save by the way!
