A simple 100% light rain mod ?? Thanks first :thumbsup:

Need to convert the tod.xml files in the track\circuits\[circuit name] to text, edit them so that all scenario's are 0.0, except down at the bottom of each tod.xml file are settings for each weather event - sunny, light cloud, light rain, heavy rain. Set everything to 0.0 except the parameter for light rain - make that 1.0.

Save and then convert back to bin xml using Fergo's BinXML converter here:

If you don't convert back to binxml the settings wont take effect...whatever CM uses to parse these tod.xml files doesn't like them if they're no in binXML format....that took me a day to figure out lol.

The scenario parameters correlate to situations where it starts dry and then rains later, or starts with rain and then dries out. So consider the scenario parameters the equivalent of dymanic weather. So if you want light rain only, set everything to 0.0 except the light rain parameter at the bottom of the file

Hi how about the Ryder BXML Convertor ?? It looks like much more convenient to use than Fergo's BinXML, i mean Ryder BXML Convertor convert original xml to another xml but very much editable and save the process of convert back from text to xml. Or am i missing something ??

Like I said initially -

Yeah but what i mean is that i use Ryder BXML Convertor convert the tod.xml to another "tod.c".xml and after i done edit & save i just delete the original xml and rename this edited "tod.c".xml to tod.xml & now my Monaco is 100% light rain in P & Q & Race. I didnt use that Fergo's BinXML at all. I mean looks like Ryder BXML Convertor alone already do the trick for me :)
 
Be Aware this will be Kind of newbie request und i suppose it could start a shitstorm. I know most of you Folks here are hardcore Gamers with bunch of experience, skill and steering wheels and all stuff. I am just a simple formula one fan, with not that much time who likes to Play the career mode as a Relaxing end of the day, with not much pressure and intensity. more like a Kind of daydreaming, "what would be if i would be a formula one Driver running his career". So excuse me for that request.

Regarding this and the fact i am just playing with Keyboard and all driving aids,f1 2013 even in Amateur mode is too hard for me. No Chance really to mess up, specially if you want (like me) make your way up from a noname Team to the more leading ones. So with caterham or marussia, simply dont have the slightest Chance even to Keep the pace. This was different with 2010-2012, as it was at the lower Settings easily to put up in a way that it was fairly challenging for my Needs but never frustrating.
I tried the mod "slower cars" from this site already... and it does help me in the qualifyings, as it slows down the generated times of the opponents. But it doesnt help me in the race in any way, cause driving head to head with the ai opponents it doesnt have any effect. Means, i in race i dont have a Chance to Keep even the pace.
Again... i dont deny that i am a newbie regarding to most of you, but would anyone of you be so Kind to tell me, what XML file or what aspect in the database bin i would have to Change or edit to Change the ai !IN RACE! Speed and Performance for the Amateur Level? I would very much appreciate a help, so it would offer the Chance to adjust the desired difficulty Level for anyone in his desire.

The file you want to change is in tracks/difficulties/era_2013.

You have to convert the ai_track_difficulties.xml file to be editable or you can download these files to change and use as you like:

Remember LEGEND = 1 and every 0.1 you go down is about 1sec/lap. So I suppose a setting of 0.1 would be like 9sec slower than LEGEND.

Best is to just change the settings on LEGEND so that you can keep your game on that level.:O_o:

It doesn't seem that Google is any better, so you still did a fine job and 10/10 for the effort instead of breaking the rules which is more common. :)

Yet, it all made sense if seen as a literal translation from German. I'll upload the file later today, shouldn't anyone else have done that meanwhile.

I use a mod from F1 2012 to do this, but I don't know the source. It didn't come with car camera files. It also doesn't quite work correctly (but is OK in F1 2012), however it will do me for now in F1 2013.

It is the ONLY reason I created this mod for the full HUD:-

With the new camera files from my mod (giving an extra cockpit cam), combined with the old F1 2012 mod for a partial HUD, it looks like the picture below. As you can see, the fuel indicator doesn't work in F1 2013.

As I know next to nothing about PSSG files, and couldn't see an obvious fix in the pssg files. I left it as is, and use it anyway :)

It will be interesting to see if the one Tom uploads later from ML2166 & Ryder25, works better in F1 2013

Hi guys.

I'm not sure if it's possible as I'm new to this, but I'm from Adelaide South Australia, and years ago way way back, we used to hold the Australian Grand Prix here in Adelaide before Melbourne did.
Now that F1 2013 has a classic game mode, I was wondering if anyone could produce/create an Adelaide circuit for the classic mode?

I'm guessing if it's possible it would probably be pretty hard and take a long time, but as there are only a few classic tracks, wouldn't it be awesome to have the Adelaide street circuit as well?

Any thought?
 
Hi everyone, I guess I'll announce here since I am technically making a request.

I'm making a True to Life AI mod for 2013 (I know I said I wasn't going to...but hell if I'm not going to drive around in that beautiful Ferrari :cool:) anyway...I'm looking to get some feedback on the following:

During qualifying, if you accelerate time, do the AI start posting very fast (or slow) laptimes?

If you've encountered this, please send me a message with the track(s) you're having time acceleration issues at.


As well, if you find tracks where the tyre wear is too excessive, please let me know which track(s).

Rounds 1-3 are "slippery" Part of this is that R&D hasn't given enough boosts to the car yet which has a much bigger impact on handling this year. But from Barcelona cars seem to have much better low speed grip compared to the previous rounds. Time acceleration can cause you to loose badly,i don't think anything has changed from last year.
The drivers good days and bad days are more prominent this year probably a simply boost in the database file from 2012.I have had Chilton in Q3 Monaco,and Vettel not posting a time at all.
You can post a time and not loose out by "fast forwarding" ,by getting you r lap done then pause the game and retire from session and the game seems to snapshot the results table at that moment as the final results for the session rather than anticipate the possible session bests of every driver.
