Modding Questions Thread

well it isn't because they are incorrectly placed because the speccoc file is painted out of the livery, its just that he shows logos on places where they not are

Are you building the speccoc file channel by channel...green/red and layer by layer paint/logos?

How do I transfer my file I made into game, I made a helmet and one done I made it a dds and used ryders pssg editor to open gen_7 bespookhelmet and then I hit export and I put my new file in and replaced it. But when I booted it up it did not work the helmet was not there. So am I saving my dds file wrong or leaveing out a step?

no, don't know how to do that :(
Thats why I said it is not being put together correctly.

I gather you are just putting your logos etc onto the single speccoc file, the main combined layer?

If so this is also putting the logos on the blue channel, this year it is different to the red and green channels.

The blue channel generally provides the shading on the model so to speak, in the previous games it has been the same as red and green channels, so laying logos etc worked, sort of...it still wouldn't be correct as the logos would block out the shading on the blue channel

You need to put your logos etc on just the red and green channels this year.

Open up a texture in PS, click on the channels tab and look at red, green and blue....you'll see how they are different.

If not using PS, I can't really help you as that is all I personally use.

Open up the file you wish to change with the PSSG editor, then click import, and select your new texture. Then save back to the original file opened location. Do this for both High and Low textures in bespoke helmets.

ty man, that worked. do you also know how to get rid of the grey stripes that walk over the car?

Once you change the database then in game you must change the difficulty options, then save and put back how you want it. This will activate the new difficulty database. At least it worked for me.
So I drive on expert now with the original database. If I then edit the database and go back in game, I choose another difficulty and choose another difficulty again ?

EDIT: it worked :o It actually worked !

I wonder if it is possible to replace the Estoril circuit in Monaco, Imola and Jerez?

I would like to withdraw some circuits 2013 and put the circuits Classics

thank you
